Yea; Yea; Yea!!

I had great hopes for the leap and was absaloutely stunned at the idea of bringing AD in........yes he was in direct competition with JW but if he'll spice things up and give a good twist to the story - why not?😉

But Mayi has proven once again that creativity is not needed after a show has established it self.......after all; irrespective of the storyline; audience still watches......how many of you have actually quit the show and how many of you are still hooked with some hope?😕

I know people say "it's only a serial; why get so upset about it?"........But isn't this like a mockery to our values; to our beliefs; to our sanity?

Are we expected to digest the 1.5 marriages?......the controversial plots handled with carelessness?........the idiotic medical and otherwise bloopers?

Also the main message - As long as you're evil; you're safe!

After all; wasn't JW at his most powerful self when he was ruining Pia and Pushky's life?

Wasn't Pia basking in riches after she had destoryed her sisters marriage?

And isn't the character of AD appealing even though he's negative?!

I'm not even sure if I've stuck to the topic........but I know one thing; Balaji soaps are like mermaids who lure sailors to their watery graves through their beautiful singing.......only with KS we've been sent crashing after the hope of a creatively beautiful love story!

Nina i have to agree with you, i watch with my mum who is like my best friend to me , we both moan and groan about the storyline, but at the end of the day its just a serial, i once said to my mum that Ekta Kapoor doesn't make serial's true to life and my mum laughed at me, she said very wisely that, have you never head of a sister in law running off with her brother in law, have married people never divorced , no people in this wold are selfish and we all live in happiness and harmony, i had to swallow my words their and then , because at the end of the day this may be a serial but in a twisted way its true to life, people are selfish like Pia, couples do split up, people do take revenge from their loved ones, you just have to remember that its grossly exaggerated in serials that's all, and that art does some times imitate life, don't go through life with rose tinted glasses , take them off and live in the real world its much more interesting.

They should keep it as a nice love story. I don't have problem with current track i Turkey as long as they don't try to pair up AD DDG & JAi Pia.

Jai & Bani are married & for whatever reason she has chosen to take Saat phere's, accept his vermillon & mangalsutra. They should maintain the dignity of these rituals.

It was disgusting to watch married woman sit at the mandap & take phere's with other man & then leave that half way to get married to her husband again. NO matter how modern the creatives want to be it was mutilation of our culture.

It gives me creeps when I hear AD talk to MIL about getting DDg back as her bahu. How man who desires a woman whom he knows is married & whose husband loves her considered good hearted caring son? no matter what his intentions are his acts are disspeakble.

Creatives still have scope to handle this sensibly.

thanks for the wonderful discussion...since I am cramped for time, I am not able to respond to everyone.

Shoba - I am glad that you mention the other shows, but I doubt they were ever aired primetime or promoted as family entertainment?

Folks - I am not saying dont show this stuff...but its more like, a story can be moved forward without having to introduce disgust factors like rapes, incest, bigamy, etc.

I dont deny things like this happen in India, but wouldn't it be more effective to show this and then show how to fight against it or rectify it. The worst thing about KS is promoting evil and then showing it triumphant.

And please continue to discuss...will be back in a couple days to give more inputs...😉

Nina,

I think she is doing great business wise, as for faults, we are not here to judge anyone, we are not perfect!

I am OK with judging the shows, and I feel that KS was something I truly enjoyed a while ago and I am not that happy with it right now...be it the story, the direction, the dialogues, the acting - whatever the reasons are, I feel it used to be much better than what it is now. As statistics show, I am the growing majority of people who are not liking the show anymore for whatever reasons.

Again, as I said - she should see the pulse of the audience and rethink the strategy as a good business woman. Confidence is good, dash of arrogance is good, too much of it is bad....that's my 2 cents.
