Hey Rivya!
The part at the end of your post was what I found most interesting... the fact that you are ok with the removal of certain characters if it helps storylines.
I only watch for entertaining stories and I think that anything that improves stories is a good thing. So far I think Walia has had an overdose of adultry based stories so maybe he is having a negative effect... I think that removing the guy would be a bit extreme though. Granted, he only seems to do weird things, but I still think that getting rid of him is a bit harsh.
But then again, if removing Jai Walia gives potential for better stories, then I can't say that I'd complain.
Never thought of looking at it that way. Love the way you can think outside the box..
Anyways, I don't think that the stories are anywhere near as repulsive as they are made out to be. I'm a very orthodox guy and I do not appreciate vulgar scenes at all... and over the last few months there has not been a scene that has ever made me turn my head. Until now the only episode that I have totally avoided and not watched was the 19 June 2006 episode because of vulgar content...
I think that an entire episode dedicated to bedroom action classes as non-family friendly viewing... but seeing as that episode was somehow acceptable for most, I cannot see how and why other scenes are being termed as non-family friendly.
You are not alone. Two of my friends - one has a 10 year old son and the other a 12 year old daughter - both did not watch that episode and they found it really inappropriate family viewing. I am sure there are many others who would not have watched it for the same reason.
So therefore I really do not understand where all the non-family friendly viewing issue is coming from. 😕
Good question.
God bless.
