Yes, I watch desperate housewives, prime time show...have you watched Dynasty or Dallas - both prime time shows!

As for promoting them as family entertainmen, I wasn't aware they are doing that!😕😕

Hey Rivya!

The part at the end of your post was what I found most interesting... the fact that you are ok with the removal of certain characters if it helps storylines.

I only watch for entertaining stories and I think that anything that improves stories is a good thing. So far I think Walia has had an overdose of adultry based stories so maybe he is having a negative effect... I think that removing the guy would be a bit extreme though. Granted, he only seems to do weird things, but I still think that getting rid of him is a bit harsh.

But then again, if removing Jai Walia gives potential for better stories, then I can't say that I'd complain.

Anyways, I don't think that the stories are anywhere near as repulsive as they are made out to be. I'm a very orthodox guy and I do not appreciate vulgar scenes at all... and over the last few months there has not been a scene that has ever made me turn my head. Until now the only episode that I have totally avoided and not watched was the 19 June 2006 episode because of vulgar content...

I think that an entire episode dedicated to bedroom action classes as non-family friendly viewing... but seeing as that episode was somehow acceptable for most, I cannot see how and why other scenes are being termed as non-family friendly.

So therefore I really do not understand where all the non-family friendly viewing issue is coming from. 😕

God bless.

Sheena i watch desperate housewives thats on about same time as ks and no way its doing that like you said!!....infact ekta has a parallel storyline from that in ks ...if you remeber brees husband was give a drug and rapped by his ex just like jw was ! not condoning that though.

As for your above post sheen i think your views a differing but a mature and sensible one so i respect that and even what you said about ekta thats fine people allowed to not like her you gave a valid point😊

Nina,

I think I might have my wires crossed. I am saying that Desperate wives, Dallas and Dynasty are shown prime time before bedtime of little children and they have a lot of Quote *Crap* Unquote -

I was saying I didn't know if KS was being promoted as a family entertainment, neither is DHW...I haven't seen it being advertised as family entertainment.

Thanks for your comments about mature...I think there are people at home who may disagree, but that's a different story...😉

Mango; KS forum are partial towards anything to do with JB.........Bias I know so I'll give you that one!😆

As for the non-family content; I think the main issue there is how carelessly they deal with what they show.....the ONS; male rape; sending your sister to MA; beating your wife.....

It's what happens in society today; I agree with that; but there's a way of dealing with it......like Nina said (was it Nina?.......or Sharon?😕.........sorry guys; I'm to lazy to go back and check!😳) these shows are exxagerated........even so; there should be a certain sensitivity.....

Am I making sense here?😕

My brain is tired so I'm of to bed before I bore you guys even more!🥱

That's true Nabila but can you expect Ekta to handle these issues in any other way, she is targeting the masses in India with her serials , would you want them to see these sort of story lines or should they be banned by the so called morality police in India, my straight answer to that would be no way, Ekta shows the consequence to these storylines well, Retribution should not be violent but fitting of the crime, no one gets away with being so called evil in the long run and good always win, Pia is leading a empty life with no purpose, Jigs has no support from her family apart from Pia and Karuna and they dont pay attention to her, and Karuna's family have most definitely left her to rot in Mumbai. The ONS between JP may be painful to watch but so what, i thought watching Bani lose her first child was more painful and when Jai was mean to her after they were married was uncomfortable to,each to their own I'm rambling now Nabila I'm tired too hehehe see ya !!!!!!!!

Never thought of looking at it that way. Love the way you can think outside the box..

You are not alone. Two of my friends - one has a 10 year old son and the other a 12 year old daughter - both did not watch that episode and they found it really inappropriate family viewing. I am sure there are many others who would not have watched it for the same reason.

So therefore I really do not understand where all the non-family friendly viewing issue is coming from. 😕

Good question.

God bless.

Always love reading all your posts as they give a different perspective on things. As is said there are always two sides to a pancake - no matter how flat your make it.

Keep posting!😃

.

Rivs and Mango,

I really am amazed at your view point that it may be time for JW to make an exit. I agree, this character has been butchered so mercilessly hardly any essence of the real character remains but I am amazed at the way you look above the fictional characters and look towards the betterment of the whole story and storyline.

kudoes to both of u. Although, the original JW was a man both loved and admired by all of us and it is hard to let go, may be you are right, the time has come to let him go.

I will certainly think about this view point of yours.

regards,

Raji
