J&B Treated Like Stepchildren by Creative

Okay this is an overall impression of how Jai and Bani are being treated by the creatives in the past month. I feel like no thought is given to their characterization or conceptualization of their scenes. Feels like creatives have a checklist of xyz symbolism/message/plot they want to put forth and they slap together something for them.

Let's take Bani First

Anticipating the leap we got a lot of talk about makeover. If we see bani on screen now she looks the same. No change whatsoever. Maybe a few of her Salwar Kamezees have thinner straps.

Biggest letdown of a Bani scene: Bani has been missing her children for 5 years. She has not seem them, does not know how they look or anything. Her biggest grudge is that her children were snatched. First she comes back and all she does for 2 weeks is burn pictures and baby-sit the 3 look-alikes and rediscover her childhood with the MIL. Than when she does meet her children it should have been the most mind-blowing scene. PD has proved with her past performances that she can give heart wrenching scenes - MA/Jail/Post oNS reveal. What we got was a half-hearted pat on the checks for the kids. No hug nothing. The whole point of the scene was to show some bloody foot print on WM floors. The creatives blundered what should have been one of the highlight scenes post leap. These are kids she is meeting after 5 years and has been missing them desperately and all she is doing is highfiving them. She showed more emotions when she did not know atharva was her son. I blame the creatives here as PD is not a mother and they have completely failed in conceptualizing this crucial scene that could have been a masterpiece

All bani has been shown doing is burn pictures and do poojas for over 3 weeks now. How about some jasoosi, some heart wrenching scenes of trying to catch a glimpse of her kids, how about some plotting/planning of revenge with AD. Something meaningful.

Let's take Jai Now

This was the JW who was established in the beginning of the serial as winning contracts with sheer talent and hard work. Now for some stupid reason we are shown he wants miracles from sadhu's to win bids. Why is Pia swanning around WM so carefree. I know she has joint custody of the kids, but she is been treated like nothing happened.

Letdown of JW Scene:

Jai meets bani for the first time and he is over the moon with joy. RK emoted fantastically well. But what was the dumb setup for the scene. This is one of the most crucial scenes after leap and we have him surrounded by 3rd class extras posing as beggars and he is giving away his car? I loved how he emoted his feeling but with the scene I was left with the feeling what the hell.

Commentary:

KS has been admired and loved due to conceptualization of subtle and truly poignant scenes. Whether it is a father talking to an unborn child or a daughter/wife silently emoting her devastation at learning her husband killed her mother and she is pregnant. Each scene has left an indelible mark in the viewer's hearts and minds. Now a days KS scenes for Jai and Bani look like they have been an afterthought that the lackeys/interns conjured up at the last moment. Bani burning pics, JW pulling a gun. What absolute crap.

I cannot come up with one good reason why the two main protagonists are being treated so shabbily.

Megs, I so agree with you on all accounts…No J and B scene is taken with care at all…seriously Bani was meeting her children after like what five years and even more than that she has seen AW before and all together it should have been something very emotional but the scene was a total letdown…And those damn flashbacks😡😡…they are so irritating and diluting the whole scene…I do not want to go into one other character's scene and how much they gave importance to that scene to gain sympathy for the character…

Don't even get me started on the makeover…if growing nails bigger and uglier is what makeover is…god help all the stylist…🤢

And with JW, I was really great and RK performed it very well but the low-profile actors really diluted the whole scene according to me…Probably JW could have shown talking to the children about how he found his and their life once again…Nope nothing like that they are more concerned about symbolism…😕

Until now, whether AW and KW know that Bani is their mom is a big mystery. Once the kids call her aunty and another time they call her mama…😕

KS is totally lacking the professionalism and it is giving out half-baked stuff…🤢

Whatever u pointed out is very true,The Leap had many anticipations and we hav been waiting for it since ever ONS happ 🤢
Expected Leap to come with a bang,leaving all the past behind,a wish was leap will bring older JW and new bani but we did get JB but these two seem to be more worst than previous one's there havent been any kind of resurection on part of the creatives on JW and BW char as matter of fact these two amin patrogonist hav been still reduced in terms of characterization as u said bani is nothing but a puppet and JW he seems to be on see-saw.
Ur are bang on that commentary...the JB scenes which earlier used to make an impact on us ,made us cry,smile and blush along with them right now make me laugh like hell...

Bani's makeover has been most dissapointing. In the beginning of the leap besides the lined eyes her hair was in curls, now it is back to straight and she just looks like her old self. The same old Bani.
As Bani she use to cook for WM residents now she has been promoted to Nanny status. Playing with kids and chaperoning them to school. Putting them to bed. BTW, Isn't Diya's kid too old to be in kindergarten or preschool? or are the walia kids superintelligent or Diya's son mentally impaired.
If she indeed wanted to get her kids, how did she intend to support them? Shouldn't she have built herself a career of sorts or did she intend to rely on the charity of AD to support her children and herself financially?
Honestly, the creatives have screwed up big time here.
Small things add up to the big picture.

It would hav been better if they would hav showed JW sharing his happiness of seeing bani with soem kids in orphanage ya some oldage home ppl asking them to pray for him and ended up donating all his valuables

Exactly Meena, They wanted to give us the symbolism that JW was happy to loose everything if he got bani back, but it could have been done subtly as scences in glory days would have been done. Friday's was a total has.

PD we know can hit the ball out of the park with her emotional scenes and she meets her kids for the first time and nothing.

Nothing makes sense in terms of Jai and Bani after the leap. It seems like they are useless characters in the serial that needs to be given some allocaated scenes and that's about it. Nothing is consistant in their characterization or anything. JW first day wass shown not to give alms to a beggar boy, than he is shown saying he cannot make slum people homeless, than he is shown asking for miracles from sadhus and than finally on friday aaaaaaahhhhhhhh.

Exactly Archu, that's exactly what said in my post…he could have spoken to kids and everything them everything (since they are concerned abt symbolism) all those beggers scene really diluted the whole impact of the scene🤢…if not for JW I would not have watched they scene at all…

And also editing is really bad. I do understand that is the style with all hindi dramas but with BT its really horrible…with the same clip moving from left to right, right to left, top to down and down to top is really irritating…why cant they do for plain editing…Sorry I don't have much patience…I love fast moving stories…

Meg, its really wonderful 👏 👏 ! Yes, I too expected a lot after the leap, and earlier all the emotional scenes were handled so well! But after leap every scene looks so dumb and doesnt reach yr heart 😡 !
I thought Bani will come back as a business rival and take revenge on Walia's! Wanted her to be more mature and sensible, but nor the dressing is sensible or apt to the current scenario nor her performing aarti's infront of Durga Maa everytime 🤢 ! All she does is wonder why AD is like this and where is his family? 😕 The first meeting with kids could hv been much much better, atleast the way it started that she barges in from the window expected lot of emotions, but 😕 ! Why didnt she think who was the 3rd kid who was with Krishna and Atharva?? Why is she not trying to find out, what's happening with Walia's? It would take few mins to know that Pia and JW are not married? Dont u think so? But I m sure all our thoughts go in vain, until unless, Ekta and her creatives doesnt give a 2nd thought about this crap now 😡 !

Jai - Less said the better, the way things are being shown! When he sees Bani, he follows her, and when he misses her I thought he would go home and share it with his kids or do something to find about her? Couldnt he read the number plate of the car??? Why did he go to park? 😕 I expected mix emotions, than just a happiness potrayed yesterday? He should hv thought how will she react to him and should hv thought about how to save her from Pia's plan now? Not just over the moon!!
To be honest, even the clothes given to leads after leap is disgusting 🤢 ! I think Ekta needs to review her other leap shows, where her character' are dressed so well and elegant, why is she making Bani look like one elder sister than a mom 😕 ? And Why JW is not in his black attire, which audiences are crazy about? All they did show was JW in office for a day, but didnt show him roaring as earlier, by making him depend on that Saadhu 🤢 ? He said, he wants to find out about AD completely? What happened to it? KS creatives needs to give continuity too! 😡
Its better I stop now, as I m blabbering too much, but cannot witness the show going downhill in every sense!

Exactly archie. A monolouge with his children while they were sleeping about their mother. Or donating at an orphange or going to a temple showing he has regained his faith. Anything would have been better than what they showed on friday with him and the beggars.
