Part Eight-B
Dr. Islam was certainly in a very good mood. Right now, he's got 5 patients in his hospital who have got no disease. He laughed in high pleasure remembering the day when he's started this business.
Medical profession is hard, too hard. Having the same ability, some doctors become Gods to patients and some keep behind the shade. When he just passed his FCPS, he saw darkness. With much effort he got the job here. Then like a sudden, a new sphere opened in front of his eyes.
You can earn loads of money as a doctor. The only think you have to leave is honesty and humanity. He left both. The new business was really easy one.
You have to make the minor patients stay at your hospital, telling the relatives that the patient has got some serious diseases. It's a risky job, they have to keep the patient sedated in case he tells his relatives that he is alright.
Then, after sucking away enough wealth in the name of tests, medicines and hospital fee, you'll have to tell that the patient is alright. The relatives will become so overwhelmed that they will not doubt anything. By this business, he's earned a bank balance too high for a doctor like him.

Dr Rahman frowned as he examined Jai. He seemed perfect, only heavy dose of sedation, nothing wrong otherwise. Then all on a sudden he realized the truth that it might be all the trick of Dr. Islam who has not got too good reputation.

Uday Walia was more than furious after talking to Dr Rahman. He immediately contacted the Police, well in normal cases; the police wouldn't dare to catch Dr Islam as he pays them their share as well. But what power does the police have if an army Colonel orders them?
So, Dr Islam was in jail within 14 hours. Jai was released from hospital. He got a shock though, which he hasn't expected.
The whole Walia family was transferred to Cantonment. There are multiple causes, first they thing it will be easy to arrange Jigs marriage more gorgeously if they live in the cantonment area, second, as Tarun passed his engineering course, he'll live with the family from right on (much to Jai's dismay), and he prefers the cantonment house, and third, Krishna Walia thinks the apartment is inauspicious as Jai fell seriously ill living there.
The flat of Eskaton, where they lived before, was however offered to the Shukla's who moved on from Chittagong to Dhaka recently. Mr. Shukla is a government officer and he keeps being transferred from city to city. Jai was glad at this piece of information. The shuklas' only son, Puskar, was his best friend.
The first thing Jai did after coming home was charging his cell phone. When it was back to use, he noticed about 40 miss calls from Roshni. He decided to call her later. He was a bit furious with her that she didn't pay a single visit when he was in hospital. After all, they were not officially over. Though Jai could care less. But before Jai called him, extra chatty Jigs transferred him the news of Tarun and Roshni's wedding.
Jai was disgusted hearing the news. How could she without even talking to me once? Didn't she felt it necessary to at last clear things up with me before agreeing for marriage? Well, as time passed Jai realized that he was glad, more glad than ever that the thing ended from Roshni's side. It would have been very hard for him to break things off from Roshni as they were dating over 5 years now.
Well, later on that day Roshni called Jai and he received it. Roshni apologized saying that she didn't have the news of him being in the hospital and she thought, he didn't picked up her calls casue he was ignoring her. She also informed that she wanted to talk with Jai. Jai however said that there's no need to use lame excuses and "Kehne aur sun ne ke liy kuch baki nehi raha ab"
But the most furious person in this circumstances was Pri. Poor girl, she was horrified when she noticed the Walias leaving the apartment. She was also cross with Jai. If he has to leave, couldn't he at least inform me? My exams are in two weeks and my tutor is missing for days. What irony, huh!
Bani's days were not bad, but she was hoping and wishing to meet Him again whether he is the Jai of JB or not. Thinking these thoughts, she was walking in the pathway of cantonment. When suddenly she bumped into someone…..
Sorry for the late update, but was unable to write anything. Thanks to Krishna Di, Jaz, pooks and Audi for help and encouragement.Short update, writing part 9 now, i'll post it today if i can finish writing, let me know what do you think of this part..
