hello guys. hope this chapter will meet up to your expectations. coz i think i couldn't do much justice to it 😕 .please overlook my mistakes and do comment. they are an encouragement to write.

Bani felt awfully bad about the incident. She didn't want their outing to end that way. She would surely apologize to Tarun. She ruled out calling him. She will talk to him when they met.
She had a very busy day on monday. The recorder was helpful. She switched on the recorder and his masculine voice flowed through it. He had a good voice she thought again. She was immersed in her work the intercom buzzed.
'Yes doctor?'
'Come into my office.'
Bani knocked on his door and went in.
He looked up from his work handed herthe file. 'The recorder was helpful?.'
She nodded.
'And thank you for warning me about the coffee shop.'
Bani blushed with embarrassment.
That was a new side of her he witnessed.
She felt terribly sorry for Tarun.
'Ms. Dixit I do not want any calls transferred in here for an hour.
She nodded.
Dr.Walia was surprised at her behavior. Usually she had something or the other to say to him. She was unusually quiet.
Tarun walked in greeting the ladies and ignoring Bani.
Bani jumped at his sound. 'Hi' she greeted, to which he ignored her.
'Tarun, I need to talk to you.' She said looking at him. He looked thoughtful for a moment and turned his attention to Ms. Braganza.
Bani knew he was playing difficult but she needed to justify her action. 'Ms. Braganza can you please excuse us for a moment?'
Ms. Braganza looked from Tarun to Bani in confusion.
'If you are excusing her to talk to me then forget it… I don't want to hear anything.' He scowled.
He looked unyielding
'"Okay then, its no big secret . Tarun. I am sorry I didn't expect the evening to end that way..'
Ms. Braganza exchanged glances with Lata.
'You are kidding..' I asked you to have coffee with me damn you I wasn't going to eat you up..' he was angry.
'Please Tarun, you are getting me wrong. Actually I was scared of someone else in there.' She said pausing for a moment.
'Excuse me?' he gaped.
'Yes there was this man I thought would strangle me any moment'.
'Why would anyone want to do that?' Asked Ms. Braganza?
'Because..' she looked at Tarun and continued. 'I threw a banana peel in front of him and he fell flat on his nose'
'You did what?' chorused the three some.
' I did that because he threw my bag on the ground in the market. She looked eagerly at their faces for some understanding. Next thing she heard was laughter filling the room.
'You are unbelievable..' said ms. Braganza . Tarun was taken back with her blunt honesty. He never expected any kind of confession.
Their laughter died the instant Jai Walia walked into their room.. One by one departed to their respective seats leaving Bani. Tarun followed Ms. Braganza.
'Your time is very valuable sir.. I'll get back to my seat..' Bani said looking slightly guilty.
Dr.Walia hid his smile. 'Get me the copy of the article I gave you Ms. Dixit.'
She hurried to her seat and got him his file.
'I needn't have to come in here if you had attended the intercom.'
'Sorry..'
On his way back he wondered what made them burst into laughter.
Bani's entry into his office has changed few things. Ms. Braganza and Lata were more relaxed around him.
Bani's days had gone perfectly fine until one day she lost her temper.
Jai Walia sat on his leather chair recalling his argument with his mother in the morning.
He was getting ready to leave to the hospital his mom walked in.
'Jai..' she called him with out preamble.. 'I need an answer from you…. '
'What answer?' he asked straightening his neck tie.
'I need to know where you and Roshni stand? When are you giving us the date?' her dad has been calling me asking about your …..'
'MA…. He called her with out letting her finish. ' I have no intention to marry her.' He said looking straight into her eyes.
'Mrs Walia's mouth dropped open.
'Ma… don't give me that look and besides you knew what I feel for her…'
'No son I don't…. she said sitting down on his bed.
'Ma…' he caught her hand in his. ' I do not want to tie my self with her. It will be the biggest mistake..'
'But Jai… you and her… I mean…' the woman didn't know what else to say..
'Mrs Walia loved her son immensely. She wanted to see him settled and happy. If he is not ready With Roshni what's she going to tell her father…..'
'Ma.. you do understand me right? I need to go.. see you in the evening.'
'Jai… Mr.Chopra has invited us for tea in the evening..'
Jai looked pleadingly at his mother to release him from the meeting.
'Son you are off at half past two in the evening.. right?'
'Yes…' he said after a while.
'Come home we will go together.'
Jai pressed his fore head. Stretched his feet up and closed his eyes. He was tired after the round in the ward.
Bani stepped into his office to take note. He had called her half an hour ago to come to his office.
He was sitting behind his desk with his eyes closed and feet up on the desk.. he looked tired and worn. She looked at him hesitant to wake him up. Lata had informed her that he was back from his seminar early in the morning. She looked around the room wondering what to do. She turned her attention to him again. He had opened his eyes and was staring at her.
'How long have you been here?' he asked in a rough voice.
"A minute,' she looked at his taut face and continued, 'you were asleep sir I didn't want to wake you up'
'Why?' he asked looking at the watch and growling.
'You looked so tired.. I thought…' she stopped unable to continue as his jaw tightened.
'Keep your thoughts to your self Miss…' he barked.
'What an unsentimental guy she thought
'Now what?' he asked looking at her thoughtful face.
'You are being unreasonable sir..' There she did it again.
"EXCUSE ME?'
She opened her mouth to say something but then thought against it.
'Tell me…' he was not going to let her go. 'Spit it out…'
Okay Mr.. Take it as it comes. She thought angrily.
'Yes.. ' he challenged.
'Dr. Walia don't get me wrong for saying this..' she continued, ' you need to take a proper break. You look tired and irritated.'
Jai Walia stared at the young woman standing in front of him and not believing what was coming.
'Your hectic schedule is getting on your nerves Dr Walia.. And this in turn is harming your health and mood.
He looked baffled.
'I didn't want to say anything sir but you provoked me into saying these things, since I have started this ridiculous topic I'd like to add one more thing..'
'You mean there's more…? He was sarcastic.
'You thrash your hand at everything be it an article about health problems or question answers for the medical magazine or consultation in other clinics. You are at everything… you are a normal human being Dr. Walia.. not a super man… you…' she stopped immediately at the look on his face. Any moment she spent under one roof would end up in her death if she wouldn't get out of there.
'GET OUT..' he pointed her the door.. 'OUT
She took a step backward hurriedly and walked towards the door. Stopped at the door and turned her head over her shoulder.
'Dr. Walia what I was saying is that, look what all this hard work doing to you.. You are not your self and you don't enjoy them one bit..'
'GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE BEFORE I BODILY THOW YOU OUT..' He thundered behind her.
Bani darling it's over for you. You have crossed your damn limit. Her conscience warned. She collected her things from her desk and put them in a small box.
Ms. Braganza noticed her box and asked, 'why the box?'
'I might need them Ms Braganza… I blew it this time..'
The woman looked confused.
