I PMed this to Radha.. hopefully the final version

To Whom It May Concern:

Congratulations on the rise and demise of Kasamh Se! You deserve a round of applause for ruining a wonderful story effectively and pushing away your audience with ease!

Time and time again the audience of Kasamh Se's patience has been tried. We have dealt high and low points of the serial; however, it seems that the low points of the serial seem to be never ending! Your audience has come to a point of SHEER FRUSTRATION now. What started out with a tight knit storyline has morphed into a convoluted story filled with loop holes left and right! Time and time again you have TESTED OUR PATIENCE, and now its to a point where you seriously want to insult your audiences intelligence? Shame on you! You are assuming that we are idiots!

Lets take a little trip down memory lane, shall we? In the beginning of Kasamh Se, your TRP's were quite high- even beating out Saat Phere on several occasions, which was having a high TRP streak for a while. The TRP's were consistent and high, especially with the fast paced, gripping story that was centered around Jai and Bani. Their love story is what was keeping viewers in tune, desperately waiting each passing day to see where the soul mates were going to be. On top of that the direction was always on par, the editing was fabulous, and the storyline was flawless. That ended abruptly and in the worst way possible. Ever since the revelation of the Park Road Raaz, your TRP's have taken a dive and have never fully recovered, and everything and anything surrounding KS has gone to the dumps. The story could have been salvaged- it lead to many different paths opening up; however, the path that was chosen was terrible! In fact, It didn't even seem like a path that would have been an option- just something that was made up at the last minute!

The story line dragged for three months then on, and then a new track was brought about, hardly resolving the previous one! Who the hell came up with the idea of a one night stand with Pia? That has to be the biggest mistake that you all have come up with! I hope you realized that this plan backfired big time! Bringing Pia to come in between Jai and Bani was hardly any resolution to increase your TRP's! The show that created euphoria among its viewers now brings disgust from the one night stand track and the fact that it has been dragged for four and a half months. Your viewers have become INCREASINGLY FRUSTRATED with this story line. Although you have claimed to have redeemed the much loved character of Jai Walia, you still have not done so in the correct manner. The issue still remains of the paternity of the child that Pia is fathering, and day by day, it seems that you are heading in the direction of Jai actually being the father of the child. This is exactly what your audience DOES NOT WANT! How blind are you to the fact that we wanted Jai and Bani together, with no outside forces pulling them apart as you have done for the past few months?! Bring a storm their way, bring a tornado or an earthquake, but keep them together! The only thing we ask is NOT TO BRING PIA.

Even if you do keep them apart, we have seen so many twists and turns in the storyline, that the direction of the show has been left miles behind us. There is NO CREATIVITY that is left in this show. There is a serious issue of LACK OF CONTINUITY that is visible to all of your audience. A prime example: Rano gives birth to an overly premature child, yet the child turns out to be perfectly healthy? And after her C-Sections she is up and about dancing as if nothing bad every happened? How does this work in the real world? On top of that, in the first place, Rano barely looked 2 months pregnant! How is this explained? How does Rano, who found out she was pregnant much later than Pia give birth before her? Does this not seem strange?

The lack of continuity does not stop there. Oh no! It continues! How are there so many unfinished stories in one single serial? Pia drugged Jai- we all know that and now Bani does as well, but there still seems to be no reunion in sight! One minute shes angry with him, another sad for him. Understandably, Bani will be confused, but this is the limit! And it seems that everything that Jai went through; there is nobody there that is trying to help him resolve his and Bani's problems. Then there is the issue of the paternity of the child, which we still don't know the DNA results of, yet now Pushkar is willing to take care of the child? On top of that, Masi still has not apologized for her behavior towards Jai! After all that insult and now knowing the truth, why is it that she hasn't found it in her heart to apologize AND why haven't Jai and Bani talked about it? Why are they avoiding it at all costs? They seem cold and indifferent to one another! Now Raashi has blood cancer and wants Ranveer to marry a new character? This character is after the Walia family money and on top of that Bani is trying to stop them? That's a whole other storyline in itself!

Adding storyline on top of storyline is essentially the same as digging your own grave. With such powerhouse performers such as Ram Kapoor and Prachi Desai, that would be considered as an injustice to them, and a waste of such talent. Winning the awards as they had done late last year should prove that these actors put together have more potential than the ensemble of a full serial at times! They are the ones that draw the attention of the audience and have done an effective job till date, however that is slowly changing as well.

Considering this lack of continuity, from what we read Kasamh Se will remain on the air until 2009. That's good, but if it continues like this we highly suggest you break your contract. Its not worth it. We spend enough of our lives watching your serial. Every day for 30 minutes we sit in front of our television sets in hope for some quality programming. Well, this is hardly it. After what you have shown us for the past few months, may we suggest you hire some legal advisors as well as medical advisors before you make up your own laws and medical conditions? We bang our own heads against the walls when it comes to your logic. Then again it seems like you don't have any logic.

You have left so many loose ends that its become nearly impossible to follow the story correctly! Have you yourself become so fed up with Kasamh Se that you just don't care? Well congratulations, now you are getting to the point where your audience doesn't care either. These daily fiascos that you have been presenting us has pushed us further away from you. Its gotten to a point where we don't know if you are competing with other dramas or other comedies! The destruction of the storyline was just the beginning, but destroying the characters themselves? If that isn't a suicide waiting to happen, then what is!? You have wasted the talent of some brilliant actors by ruining their characters to a point where they don't even look interested in the story themselves!

Keeping all these stories lines open and taking it one step further by creating more stories on top of that CAN NEVER LEAD TO RESOLUTION! We fully understand that actors/actresses have other commitments lined up such as Zee Carnival, Exams, etc., however, compromising the storyline for that is extremely UNCALLED FOR! It frustrates the audience, it has to frustrate you too!

The only thing that does not lack consistency is your sinking ratings. That has been happening ever since Sandip Sikand left your creative team. The story has been taken a nosedive ever since.

We want more than anything to have a serial that is worth watching and definitely worth our time; however, the bakwaas we have been given only leads us to change the channels even more. Half the time you are showing flashbacks, wasting our times! We love the old scenes between Jai and Bani- we really do, but if 11 out of the 22 minutes is shown as flashbacks, it just gets more irritating! We would rather watch something that doesn't make us cry out of irritation, or make us wonder where the hell this logic came about from. It is INFURIATING to watch such rubbish on television!

Our FINAL PLEA TO YOU, is to please end this rubbish! Show us a GOOD storyline! We want some IMPROVEMENT! Leaving loose ends is not improving- and creating storylines that are insensible is not improvement either! We are looking for RESOLUTION! We can not take any more of this, as it has gone on too long! We have been loyal followers defending and sticking it out through the various storylines and tracks, but even we have a limit. It comes to a point where we can not stand to watch the episode anymore. Starting from the basics is the only way you are going to increase your TRP's, and trust us, we are definitely looking forward to the day where the storyline is solid and tight knit! At this point half the people we know currently watching Kasamh Se are ready and willing to give it up within a couple weeks! To save the show there are very little chances before the VIEWERSHIP DIES and your TRP's DROP DRAMATICALLY! Bring back the good writers, the good directors, the Creatives that KNEW what they were doing! BRING BACK THE CHARACTERS that agave us something to look forward to day after day! Give us a rocking REUNION BETWEEN JAI AND BANI! BRING BACK 'JIYA DHADAK DHADAK'! Give us back the quality show that emitted magic and anticipation each and every day! We want for Kasamh Se to lie in the bed of success and not die a horrible death! Please BRING BACK THE MAGIC!

Sincerely,

Your soon to be ex-loyal Kasamh Se Fans.

I had read the first letter you wrote and it took me about 5 mins to read it all!! So i cant be bothered to read the second one! lol! BUT I SOOOOOOOO AGREE WITH YOU!!! we soo want to have a moment in kasamh se where this on ONLY Jai and Bani and WHEN are they gunna get back together!! Probably in the year 2008!! When the show is nearly finished! Yesterdats episode in the UK was when someone was in the walia house and they were trying to take the file of some project with them and the lights in the walia mansion had all gone off etc... now that bani knows the truth about waht happened, why aent she forgiving jai? she should atleast talk to him now and that! so put my signature NEELAM at the end of the letter! lol!! 😆

The ONLY reason I continued watching the show, after a sister degrading herself by cheating her sister, was to see Jai & Bani's happy reunion as husband & wife.

I lost respect for this show when Ekta (sisterless) stained sisterhood by stooping low to show a sister do that to a sister. This does NOT happen in real life -- if it does, VERY, VERY RARE!!! That was the MOST DISGUSTING THING but what does Ekta know about it being disgusting. Only a sister will understand another sister's love/respect/trust and Ekta does NOT have that bliss of having a siste, hence the act. Even a Brother love his sister and wouldn't hurt her just like she wouldn't hurt her brother cos she knows what a sister/brother love is but unfortunately does not know the meaning of love between sisters. KS has left a BAD TASTE in my mouth due to Ekta's dagger through sisterhood.

REST MY CASE!!! Looking forward/yearning for Bani/Jai HAPPY REUNION and am losing patience. I could care less what happens to Pia.

I hope all those females who have sisters don't let Ekta's degrading act fill your minds with any doubts.

I am absolutely sick and tired of watching the same crap over and over again (actually...I think it's worth mentioning that a lot of people have stopped watching KS altogether!) We don't want Pia. We don't want any more mysteries and we don't need any more vamps. PLEASE, just bring Jai and Bani together. If that's too hard for you, at least bring some originality and logic into the plot of KS.

"The only thing that does not lack consistency is your sinking ratings. That has been happening ever since Sandip Sikand left your creative team. The story has been taken a nosedive ever since."

That is absolutely true!

Harveen, it was a very well written letter and all our thoughts have been displayed so eloquently. Now, let's just hope Balaji actually pays attention to at least this letter and bring some change into the serial.

-Already ex-loyal fan of KS! 😕
