Masi, who was now too weak to move about on her own let alone come upstairs, enters with the help of Tony. Jai jumps out of the bed, helps her in settling down as she was breathing hard, climbing up the stairs even with Tony help has made her breathless…masi signals Tony to leave the room….
Apne kiyu taklif ki masi, bula lete, mai a jata….says Jai handing over a glass of water...
Masi takes a sip, Neev sow gaya….she asks…Jai turns to see his son, he is already figiting, after bani left, he had difficulty in sleeping, specially missing his feed and without Bani a sense of insecurity was also there…Jai goes and pats him, then puts a pillow next to him, Neev settles back to sleep…
Jai goes and sits in front of Masi, keya baath hai masi, aap upar a gaye, mujhe bula liya hotha…
Beta taklif sharir ka nehi, mann ka hai beta….tujhe settle hote dekh kar mai kitna khush tha, mere akhri ichha bhi puri ho gayi kuch aur baath hai jo mujhe dikh kar bhi dikhai nehi diya, nehi toh mai yeh honai nehi deti, raat ke andhere mai, sab se chhup kar Bani ko chale jana nehi parta…

Beta maine tujhse baath keya hai nehi pochha, jo bhi hai, tum dono ke beech hai, lekin tu ne bola, parne gayi hai, parne se kaun rokh rahe beta…pare..jitna chahe, tera pass itna paisa hai, ki har mahine 3 / 4 bar kam se kam America a ja sakti hai…lekin beta…jab koi bina batake, raat ke andhere me, chup chap chali jaye…baath kuch aur hai…tu uski dewana hai aur woh tera, ankho se hi pata chal jata hai, toh yeh bolne me keya rokh rahe tujhe, tu toh bara hai, usse jaida samajdar hai aur har ladki Roshni Chopra nehi hoti…batake to dekhta, agar batayga nehi toh 'ha' kaise sunega beta….mai yehi batane ayi thi…doodh ke la de mere bahu ko, apne suna jeevan phirse bhar de..mujhse tera yeh hal dekha nehi jata.…
Jai does not ask what she knows and how she knows, maybe Nachiket or Aditya must have told her but it is highly unlikely, most likely she must have guessed, after all she is the one who knows him best….

Jai Walia walked into his office. Its over 15 days that he last visited here. Masi has not been keeping well at all, he was running between the hospital and house, he had to divide his time between Masi & Neev. Though there were others to take care of masi but he wanted to get first hand report of her from the doctors, with Neev refusing be without him even for a while, he had to bring Masi back home, so that the specialists could come to see her there and now this labour problem in one of his hotel…baas yehi ek problem reh giya tha ane ko, sab ek saath, Jai sits at his desk…in 10 minutes there is a meeting with the hotel's GM & Union Leader. Before coming he took hour of convince Neev that he will be back, he could have brought him but today's meeting is a serious one and he wanted no disturbance.

About 45 minutes later, the meeting was over to everybody satisfaction. The phone rings WM flashing, must be Neev once again, third time in last 45 minutes wants to know when he will return, since he cannot dial himself, he was getting someone to dial it for him and felt reassured on hearing Jai's voice.
Jai disconnects the line, starts signing few documents kept by Mary, he was hurrying through them, his mobile rings again, curses,
