I was talking to one of my dear friend just yesterday about KS and Bani's character... Every time a crisis comes her way, which is more than any regular person can handle, she turns into a stone. Her brain freezes and everyone around her spend time in bringing her back.

If we compare, husband cheating on wives - this track has been played on many instances. Take for example Kyunki - Tulsi finds out Mihir cheated - Or Simran of Astitiva - she finds out Abhimanu cheated her - she handled it with such grace and dignity (very realistic)... but she didn't collaps like our Bani rani....

Some of you might come back and argue that the husband's listed above didn't cheat their wives with their wives sister... Well, I have another good example, Justajoo - a Zee drama... Here their is relationship between a Saali and her Jija... Saali knows that she deserves the Ji-ja over her sister and when her sister finds out - she does become a stone like figure, but fights back...

All the mentioned characters are more realistic therefore you can truely feel for them. I feel as though the creatives wanted Bani's character to be the central one, and so they've written up all the griff in her name. But they forget that such character - sooner or later - ends up visiting the mental asylam. No one person is able to handle all this pain (pain of loosing parents, betryal of sister, child lose, hatred of her husband, sick games played by her relatives... well the list just goes on and on)... Of course, if there was a gap between all this instances, it would make sense and I'll be eating up my own words - but all this happens within the 1 year marriage with JW... COME ON!!

Ok... Before all you Bani lovers jump at me and start throwing your punches, think about what I just said, for a moment... ok... now tell me what you really think... 😳

Well doesn't it depend on how an individual reacts to a certain situation? Bani is NOT Simran or Tulsi, she has been knocked down with tragedies through her childhood. Yet she still stands dignified (I'm not sure why you said her character is not.) Even after her parents death, she continued to live life and even if it was for her sisters, she didn't stop to feel sorry for herself.

We don't know how Bani will react in the future but I'm sure she will fight back soon, its too early to say that she won't do anything. Her outburst at the beach was very realistic, taking her jewels and bangles off was realistic....I felt her pain anyway.

Ok, do not bash her character. What Bani is going through is total shut down, a defence mechanism most humans posssess but happens rarely. Bani's life has always been about her sister and her husband. The perfect life she thought she had turned out to be not so perfect. What Bani is feeling right now is pain, total pain and her her brain is denying that pain therefore her body is shutting down slowly. I imagine we would all react to the same situation differently but the point is her reaction is REALISTIC! It could happen. Besides Bani is Bani, not any of those other girls.

😭 yeh exactly...simran was a docter and meant to be a strong character for her to react like that would not suit her ..bani is a softer gentler and a person who all her life has been losing people she loves ..now her trust has been broken by the two people she did trust shes ocmpletely shattered..to be honest my guess is that people would react in one of those two ways and depends very much on the individual..shes not over dramatic but very hurt and in pain 😭

I don't think Bani's character is over-dramatic...I's different for every person and she's a really emotional person

I agree that her outburst at the beach was more realistic... and she cried her heart out... So why a sudden change in the story... Why is the doctor saying "well if she doesn't cry in the next 24 hrs, she'll face brain damage!"... Seriously, that's just stupid... Again, unrealistic... My point about the drama is, make realistic - believable... Bani did cry - understood the reality so why did the creatives made her a stone like person when she did swallow the bitter truth....

But why is everything happening to Bani? Why is it so easy to love a character like Rano and/or Pushkar? Because they are your every day people.. I'm sure you have a friend like Pushkar in ur life - if not I'm sure you'd want one -- and if you have a sister - I'm sure she's like Rano... very much realistic...

I too donot think her character is over dramatic at all.

If you compare her with Simran and Tulso thats not fair is it.

Simaran was shown to be a mature woman married to a younger guy and always had a doubt that her husband may fall for someone young and he did, thus the betrayal and devestation was there but not to that big an extent and she had a child to think about too.

Tulsi found out about Mihirs affair in the later stage of the marriage when all her children were grown up and mature.

I donot know about the other drama at all that you have mentioned

But Bani was a very strong individual that had to take over the running of her family and become a mother to hwer younger sisters after her mothers death as the father could not fulfil his duties at all of being a pillar of strength and support as he became a drunkard and left everythig in Bnais caer.

She has all her life lived for others and Jai was the first person she fell in love with deeply and vice versa, thus she was completely shattered on finding out that the two most people that she loved in her life betrayed her in the worst posible wasy.

Thus her complete breakdown at the beach was so heart wrenching and realistic, even the shower at the mansion.

Thus her numb state.

Simple reason being banis too nice...and blind to peoples faults ...she gets hurt more when her eyes do open..and also people take advantage of nice people.
