I know I said I will bring in Jai soon...but please excuse me...I thought it would be better at this point to show Binita/ Tarun friendship and some Bani flashbacks so that no one takes Tarun wrong for what he is doing...I like his character a lot and dont wont anyone to take him wrong when struggles to let Binita know about Bani...

Chapter 6
As he lay in bed that night, he replayed his day. He had this blissful smile, the one a kid has when he is gifted his most wanted toy for Christmas…but suddenly it was replaced by guilt. He felt bad that he had to hide Binita's past from her, but wasn't this something she had wanted him to do anyways.
***Flashback***
He had hurriedly reached the Barrista that Bani had indicated. He was shocked to see sobbing Bani, collapsed on her chair, her head on her knees. As he called her out, she looked up and ran towards him. She collapsed on him and held him as if she was holding on to her dear life. As he tried to pacify her, and took her to the chair she had been sitting on before. As he got there, something on the table caught its attention. He was shocked to see photographs of Pia and Jai in an embrace…from the looks of it was more than just an embrace. There were more pictures there, each one more shocking than the previous. He looked at the pictures and then at the crying form sitting next to him. It did not take words for him to understand what had happened.
He immediately had taken Bani home and decided to let her be and let her grief dissolve in her tears. Anyone would be in that state had they come across their husband's pictures in a compromising situation with none other than their own younger sister. Moreover, she was pregnant at this time. He left Bani in his room and headed to his study to decide how he was going to talk to Bani and more importantly what he was going to tell Jai. He was so disgusted with his best friend at that moment but he also knew that Jai had loved Bani. Then why did he betray her and in such a fashion… this was the one question Tarun could not answer.
He had later received a call from Jai that afternoon. Jai did not sound very good, there was a lot or sorrow and regret in his voice when he told Tarun that he had lost Bani…forever. Tarun did not want to talk to Jai at that moment but had felt that it was his duty and Jai's right to know where Bani was. He told Jai that Bani was at his place and was resting right now. He will let Jai know when Bani is ready to talk and that he should not bother to come by if he wants Bani to ever come out of this shock.
Jai had accepted Tarun's words and had patiently waited for him to call. Later that night, when Tarun took Bani a dinner plate. She was sleeping when he had entered but the click of the door knob had awaken her. She looked at Tarun and said in a barely audible sound, "I don't wont to eat and please do no ask me questions. Just repull my divorce papers, change the alimony conditions and I will sign it the first thing tomorrow morning. I hope you will be able to help me this time too." Her eyes were pleading and he just replied with a nod, "Everything will happen as you wish Bani, but can we just talk a little before we take a step further? I do not want you to take a hasty decision."
"What other options do I have? My sister is pregnant, she spent a night with my husband and we have both seen the proof of this. We all knew she had separated from Pushkar and yet we all blindly accepted that the baby was Pushkar's. There were signs everywhere, only I was blind. Pia's reserve since she was back from Dubai, the way she would look at Mr. Walia, her happiness every time Mr. Walia did something for her on my insistence, the letter she wrote on the Jagrata night, her annoyance on Pushkar being made her boss and the most important, their embrace in my own bedroom on diwali day. I was blind, and a fool. A fool totally besotted by her husband and blindly trusting her sister. You tell me Tarun, what else can I do in this situation?" There was an amazing calm in her voice as she said this. She looked determined, but her eyes deceived her. Those eyes, that talked told him that she was completely shattered due to this betrayal by the people she loved and trusted.
"Bani, should we first talk to Jai to at least find out what had happened? Who gave you these photographs? Maybe, this was just another plot to separate the two of you. You do know that with today's technology, something like this is not hard to create."
"Yes Tarun, I thought about this, but I even thought of all those situations where I had seen my husband and sister sharing guilty looks. I always assumed that Mr. Walia was distant because of the whole alimony and miscarriage fiasco but now keeping these pictures in perspective things don't seem what I thought they were. You are forgetting Tarun, Pia was Mr. Walia's first love and choice, I was only his compromise. Also, I was the one who had asked for divorce without explaining to him my reasons. I did not even share with him the reasons for my miscarriage. In those hard times when his trust on me was completely broken, if he turned to his first love for comfort and support, how can I blame him? He is a wonderful man and will stay by me and be true to our wedding vows but at this time, if there is someone who needs him more, then it is Pia and her unborn child. I cannot be selfish at this time and take their happiness from them. No one will be happy, Mr. Walia deserves to be able to call his child his own, the child deserves to know his father, and moreover Pushkar does not deserve this betrayal either. I am ready to move on Tarun. Will you please help me?" her voice composed yet pleading.
She was able to convince him that what she had decided was right but he still felt that Jai deserved a chance to explain his side of the story. But what would he say, it was a weak moment? A drunken moment? Was it even an acceptable response? Tarun followed Bani's instructions and reworded the divorce papers. She clearly indicated that she did not wish to receive any support from Jai and that it would be in both their interests that this case was resolved without any delay. She did not wish to tarnish the Walia name with anymore controversies than what it was facing currently.
Jai had been shocked when Tarun had approached him with the divorce papers later that week. He was expecting to be able to talk to Bani and explain everything to her but she had refused to even see his face. Knowing her own weakness she thought it will be better for the two of them. Jai had explained to Tarun everything as it happened and how everything from that fateful night was still a haze for him. Tarun clearly stated to Jai everything that Bani had told him about how she found those photographs (yes friends, it was just another one of lady detectives snooping adventures) and what she felt about the whole situation. Jai signed the papers and told Tarun "The day Bani came back to me I knew that night will haunt me but thank God it did not result in something worse like I had feared (the whole burning dream sequence….I can't even believe that Ekta and her creatives would come up with something so disgusting). This way I will be able to spend the rest of life, with the assurance that my Bani is somewhere out there in the world trying to regain her happiness. Can I ask you for a favor Tarun? Seeing that you were the person she turned to in this time of need, will you promise to always look after her. Make sure she is doing fine and if there is ever a time that I can help her, let me know? I wish her happiness and as for me, I brought this on to myself, by not coming clean with her when she deserved to know. Tarun, is it too late? Can I still go back in time and mend things? Please Tarun, help me out."
Jai had looked very vulnerable and dejected. He was trying to put on a brave face, face the situation as Jai Walia had always done, but just could not muster enough will power to do so. Tarun left Jai in that state, only to find a letter left behind by Bani saying she is going away for now. She will contact Tarun in a few days with her whereabouts…..
