The general consensus on the Forum is that he loved Bani only for the kid so with the kid out of the way, he should not have been in love with Bani. If u r not in love with ur spouse why should u feel guilty for being unfaithful.

I think the question should have been does Bani deserve Jai. Granted she did a lot of sacrifice for Jai, protecting his property for him when all he wanted was her. She could have solved the problem by just going to him and telling him about Ranveer and Jigs. He would have found a solution. That property fiasco is something I failed to understand till date. As long as Jai does not know the true colours of his family members Jigs could have hatched another plan to usurp the property could'nt she? What would Bani have done then especially since by then she would have been divorced from Jai.

Bani put Jai through a lot of torture because he killed her mother. But was that not just an accident? Jai is expected to read her mind and know that she did not abort the child but she will not forgive him for the accident. In fact if it had not been for the tape Kiran left, I think she still would not have forgiven him. Totally ridiculous. Why could she not have told Jai about how she lost the baby? After all here there is no family member involved. In fact if he had come to know that there was an attempt on his life he would have tried to find the killer and Anu's baby could also be safe now since it is the same guy who has done this also.

As to the ONS, it would not have happened had Bani not pushed him to the brink with her harsh words and supposed hatred for him. She says she loves her sisters above all. Yet she does not confide in them about her love for Jai or the 'sacrifice' she is making for him. Instead she confides in Rashi, Massi etc., who had entered her life much later. If Pia knew she loved Jai atleast she would not have thrown herself at her jeeju. (Back in those good old days, Pia was still loving towards her Di). Our Devadoss would have then only wallowed in self pity all by himself instead of now suffering from guilt pangs. Now that Pia has had a taste of the forbidden fruit she wants more and has turned into a ranting lunatic.

Agreed that Jai should have accompanied Bani in the search for the kid. Especially if he so loved the child. What does he gain by sitting and mopping in the house? He could have shouted at her later. But first things first. Other than this and the fact that he should have told Bani and Jigs children (Sahil and Anu) about Barnali so that they can stay clear of her, I dont see any reason to bash up Jai. This I am saying not because Jai is played by Ram but based on the merits of the story. 3

The "old" Jai would have supported his wife, Bani, but from the ONS time, he is very timid. He seems lost most of the time and is not connecting with anyone or anything. A once powerful man of business is now reduced to almost nothing. If yesterday's situation were before the ONS he would have certainly taken a stance. Whether it was for Bani or not, he would have been rational about it. Jai has lost himself and that's very sad
