This is a new Jai and Bani fanfic.

Fanfic Preview:
Jai and Bani's companies compete for the same project. Jai and Bani are known for their competitive nature. Both are successful enterprenuers.

The only glinch in the plan is that neither of them expected to fall in love with each other.

They fall in love, which causes a heart-break for both of them. There is only one link left between them and that is roll of coins. How?

Part-I

Jai Walia is pacing his room up and down. He cannot believe he is nervous. This contract is very important for him. There is only person who can take this contract away from him and that person is Bani Dixit.

Bani has been a thorn is Jai's life ever since both started their business. They are known business rivals. And they are known for crossing any line to get what they want.

Both Jai and Bani believe in one thing and one thing only and that is, "Everything is fair in love and war."

Jai calls Ranveer and tells him to go over with him every minute detail of the tender before they submit it. Jai does not want Bani to win the project at any cost.

Ranveer assures him that Bani will not win the project. He tells Mamaji not to worry at any cost.

Jai nods off but looks pensive and remains unconvinced.

Bani is also pacing in her office. She knows Jai Walia can take the contract away from her. She is not happy. Jiggs comes in and assures her that Jai Walia will not be able to win this contract.

Jiggs is Bani's guide and philospher. She is Jai Walia's sister but due to a fallout between them she joined Bani and loves her like her own daughter. She severed all her ties with the Walia family including her children.

Aditya also comes and tells Bani not to worry as Jai will not be able to win this contract as we have quoted the lowest figure.

On the day of the tender has to be opened both Jai-Bani arrive at the venue at the sametime and both look at each other and walk off.

The person who has won the contract will be announced soon. Jai is waiting impatiently and Bani is also worried.

The moment comes where the winner is announced. The man says, " And this year the winner of the contract is .........."

Part-II

And this year the winner of the contract is not one but two companies, since the difference in the tender amount was so insignificant that we have decided to give this to,"Mr. Jai Walia of the Walia Group of Industries and to Ms. Bani Dixit of the Dixit Group of Industries."

Both Jai and Bani are stunned and stumped at the same time. How can you have two winners?

Jai thought to himself I would rather get myself bitten by a rattlesnake than work with Ms. Bani Dixit. Jai decides to talk with the owner.

Bani thinks to herself I would rather work with the devil himself than work with Mr. Jai Walia. Bani decides to talk with the owner.

Neither Jai or Bani are thrilled. They have not moved a muscle from where they are seated. The people who have announced them as joint winners they knew this would happen.

So, they themselves ask Mr. Jai Walia and Ms. Bani Dixit to come and speak to them in private.

Jai and Bani are now sitting in a cabin where the owners of the company who just gave the contract are seated.

The owner of the company Mr. Deep Saigal and Ms. Neha Saigal are looking at Jai and Bani. Since neither Jai or Bani intiate the talk they decide to start the dialogue.

Deep Saigal- I understand that both of you are upset. But this decision has been taken after a lot of careful delibration and in the end we decided it will be unfair to either one of you if the other lost.

Deep Saigal continues- The reason being both of you are best when it comes to this industry and we thought of bringing the best of the world to see how two major competitors if pitted to be partners can work together for a greater goal of delivering a superior product or not.

Both were quietly listening.

Deep Saigal continued- If neither one of you can forget your personal difference and come together for this ambitious joint venture then I regret to tell you that the contract will go to a third party. The ball is in your court.

This got a reaction from both Jai and Bani. If they lost the contract it will not do any good for neithers reputation plus the company's reputation will be at stake.

If they show unprofessionalism here, it will also reflect on their personality and may hamper their future growth and ambitious contract as other companies may not like to work with them.

As Jai and Bani were contemplating the pros and cons of working separately or together.

Neha Saigal interrupted their line of thought by saying they have this evening to decide if by 6pm we do not recieve your answer jointly and not separately this contract will go to third party. Thank you both of you. Have a good day now.

Jai and Bani both looked at their watches it was 4pm. They had two hours to decide.

Bani said- Jai I do not mind working with you provided you are professional enough to work at the same level as me.

Jai looked at Bani- Oh!!! please bani do not even go there professionalism from you I do not expect anything from you. U always hit me below the belt.

Bani shakes her head and says- I learn from the best. Remember Jai when I was new in this corporate world how u delibrately showed me the wrong path and I lost that contract. The thing is Jai I do not trust you.

Jai looks at Bani pensively and says- Bani, I may have taken that contract from you. But u r not a saint yourself. Remember the Agrawal contract how u try to nestle that one from me. I also do not trust you Bani.

Bani is like- Like it or not Jai both of us are in the same boat here. I think we can work together. Afterall it is this one project how hard can it be?

Jai is like - U know Bani for once I agree with you. Lets work on this project together. Afterall it is not like we have to spend our lives together.

So lets go and make a joint declaration that the two major rivals come together to do this project. Lets create a new chapter in the corporate world.

With that both Jai and Bani informed the Saigals that they were doing this project together and made a joint declaration to the press.
