DEAR ARMANA,

Very well written!!!!!!! 👏

but i just wanted to add that even though we say ramji as "maryada purushottam" he also committed mistakes. He sent his loving wife who was with him in the diff times to forest when she was preg. at that time when a woman needs her husband the most for wat?just coz a dhobhi felt that she was not pativritha!!!do u think that was rite?no!so if ramji can make mistakes then why not jai?

i just hope that they dont separate JB for yrs like ram n sita coz then that wil affect the serial too much,
all want to c jb together n not separate!!!! 😭 😭

yes u r rite in the case that JB has yet to spend a wk in peace!lol how can they with pia, jigs n now barnali!!! 😉 n this is EKTAs serial in all her serials the main lead NEVER gets PEACE!! 😉

abt pia getting preg. 🤢 GOD!esi ki kami thi! 😡 hope it doesnt happen as bani wil b shattered to bits! n wat abt all of us who believe that NOTHING happened btw jai n pia? 😭 NOOOOO!!! 😭 if the child is pushy then its fine but noing pia 😡 she is sure to say that its jais!!! 😡 😡

yes its rather sad to no that Ramayana has been used in such a way. 😭 Jai as Ram n having a relationship with his saali? 😕 Hey Ram!!!!yeh sab ekta hi kar sakthi hai koi aur nahi!!!! 😕

i just hope that jai n bani b together 😳 n their jodi survives thru all the bomb blasts that their family has to give!!if u hav relatives like these pple hav then dushmanon ki koi jaroorat nahi hai!!!! 😕

Jiya,
thank you for your response.
Not to quibble with it but you wrote:

1. Ram did not know she was pregnant at the time
2.He did not send her because a dhobi called her impure. Ram had passed a judgement on a case, whereby a woman was condemned as impure...and the dhobi pointed out that there was a seperate law in place for the king and the subjects. Despite being told that she had given an agnipariksha the dhobi said, but that was not in front of us...and Ram as a husband who loved his wife could hardly be called an impartial judge.....having thus passed a judgement, Ram and Sita found themselves in untenable circumstances which were beyond their control....and so they paid for the sins of others....unless, i am mistaken, Sita refused to give a second agnipariksha...and so the seperation... 😭 😭 😭
The whole point of Ramayana was, imho, that Ram and Sita were personally irreprochable....having followed the letter of the law, Ram still demonstrated his personal opinion on the matter by refusing to ever marry again and by maintaining that till death, Sita was and would be his wife....

Jai as Ram n having a relationship with his saali?

Ab kay kahein mayi ko.....she is nuts!!! TRP's dekh kar bhi samajh nahin aati....

wow fantastic analysis--

im a SIKH but this was really touching--

i think one thing that binds all RELIGIONS is the reality of LOVE AND TRUST--

chahe kuch bhi ho religion, but the PURITY if marriage and its sacredness will not differ in any way--

nice job yaar 😆

Absolutely! I think all religions give a very important place to the bond of marriage....and its sacredness and sanctity is respected by all religious teachings.
Thank you for pointing that out.

Hi Armana,
Don't know how I missed this post! I read through the replies u got for yet another wonderfully worded analysis.
Obviously, I haven't been following the dialogues of KS closely enough, so missed all the references to Ram-Sita.
I don't know how far I'd agree with ur comparison bt J/B and Ram/Sita. I only say this because the latter pair are divine beings and are naturally perfect without any human failing. He was the ultimate'marayada purush,'after all.
J/B, on the other hand, are human with all the human failings, especially Jai...Bani being more 'perfect' than he is, as a woman is supposed to be that, especially in hindi movies and now serials.

However, having said that, Jai, in comparison to many male characters in either the Indian movies or serials, is a far superior man. I agree with you that he showed immense and unending faith in Bani all the time she put him through the worst spell of his life. His unquestioning support itself should confer on him the crown of perfect husband. In that, yes he's like Ram. But, at some point even that faith was tested. Though he appeared in court to bear witness to his wife's character, it didn't hold when he believed his sister's lie about Pushkar and needed confirmation from Pia of all people.
Again, in Dubai, he fell hook line and sinker for the phone call from his lawyer and what followed was the result of that lack of trust. If he was one to hold true values, no temptation on earth would make him give them up.
I blame Ekta for showing us an ideal love, a love that we all crave to have in our lives.

I blame her for building up our expectations to impossible heights and then bring them crashing down.

I blame her for creating an image of an ideal man/husband in Jai and then proceed to give him feet of clay.

I blame her for her audacity to then imply comparisons bt him and Ram.

What we viewers should do from now on is to set aside our ideals and all the expectations that come from that and get into the real but ugly world of TRPs. The real world is bad enough but now we must learn to accept the reel world (at least Ekta's version of it)which seems arguably as bad if not worse.

So lets take a vow not to want the impossible but accept the improbable however unpalatable and ridiculous it maybe. We should maintain and nurture that beautiful image of Jai/Bani's once transcedental relationship and thank Ekta for giving us at least that much.
