Part-IV
The sindoor incident completely had stunned both Jai and Bani for a moment they kept looking at each other. Each trying hard to break the gaze but unable to do so. It took a accidental push by one of the devotee to get them back to the land of the living.
Both quietly pray to Saibaba again and then walk silently from the temple. Jai and Bani are stealing glances of each other when either Jai and Bani are not looking at each other.
They visit other small temples there. And then slowly walk to their car. After getting the prasad packed.
It is 11pm now. Jai and Bani decided to grab dinner and after that stay here at a nearby hotel for the night.
They look for a hotel which also has a restaurant where they have something for dinner. They finally find a hotel whose rooms rates are reasonable. For Jai Walia, money is not a problem but for Bani everything is about economising.
Jai is thinking why bother when I have to pay for you only. The moment this thought popped in his mind he was stunned as he had no clue why he was thinking about paying for Bani?
They go the restaurant order a 2 Veg Thali and enjoy the meal. Jai like sweets a lot and so does Bani. Now Bani quickly finishes her food and sweets but she wants more.
Jai is relaxed man he devours whatever he eats. He has dinner at a leisure pace, by the time he comes to having his sweet Bani is watching him like a hawk waiting for him to slip so she can jump on his sweet.
Jai can sense Bani looking at his sweet very intensely. He looks at her and decides he will tease her a little bit.
Jai looks her way brings the spoon of with the sweet on it near her mouth and as she brings herself close to the sweet he cooly moves the spoon and eats the entire sweet.
Jai is laughing seeing Bani wanting to eat the sweet but not getting anything for it.
Finally dinner is over, Jai pays for his meal and Bani pays for her meal. She has been very quiet since the sindoor scene.
They leave the restaurant and go the reception and ask for two rooms. The hotel receptionist informs that due to a religious group that has come in large numbers this evening for Shirdi they have only one room. She sees Bani's bridal outfit and sindoor in the maang and wonders why this newly wed wants two rooms? But she does not say anything?
Jai and Bani look at each other and Jai decides to take the room. It is on the 4th Floor. There is no elevator so they have to climb the staircase.
After sometime they reach their room. The room has a single bed. It is surroundings and asthetics of the room are very simple.
They both come to the room. Jai goes to use the bathroom. Bani is keeping her bag when her eyes catches herself looking at the mirror. She still has a bridal outfit and now she has sindoor in her maang.
She was running from a wedding in the afternoon and here later in the evening she was almost married even accidentally in happened in front of Saibaba maybe this is a sign for things to come.
The sound of the bathroom door brought her back to the land of the living. She saw Jai and Jai saw Bani. Their eyes lock again for sometime. This time Bani moves away from the gaze and goes to the bathroom to change.
She comes back in 15 minutes. She is now wearing a nice and simple blue salwaar kameez with matching dupatta. Jai notices that the sindoor in the maang is still there. He does not know what to make of it.
He wants to talk to her about the this but is unable to start the right wordings to express what he wants to say. But will there ever be a word that can express actually what he feels for Bani?
He barely knows the girl yet finds an instant connection a bond which has been missing in his life for so long.
Now the big question who will sleep on the bed and who will sleep on the floor? But Bani justs puts her bed on the floor and sleeps quietly. She has not spoken a single word since the sindoor incident has happened.
Jai quietly sleeps on the bed. He tries to talk to her but she turns his back on him and closes her eyes.
It is 8am in the morning. Both Jai and Bani are awake. They both get ready quickly and have breakfast and hit the road again.
As the sun rays hit the car in the morning, both Jai and Bani are travelling quietly the FM station is playing on the radio a song from Fareb:
Phele se ab din hain, na pheli si raat hai,
Shayad hamare beech main, kahi koi baat hai....
Jai tells Bani- Mujhe tumse kaal ke bare kuch baat karni hai Bani?(I want to talk about yesterday with you Bani?)
Bani for the first time says- Kaho kya kehna hai aapko?(Tell me what u want to talk about?)
Jai says- Kaal jo hua woh kaisa hua yeh main nahin jaanta par itna kehna chahta hoon ki woh ek hadsaa tha?(Whatever happened yesterday I do not how it transpired? All I know is that it was an accident.)
Bani tells him- Main jaanti hoon woh ek hadsa tha. Lekin mere liye ek saach. Kaal jo hua woh Saibaba ke mandir main hua. Isliye mere liya es baat ko nazarandaaz kar dane mushkil hai. Par aap phikir nahi kijiye mujshe kuch samay deejiya main....I will forget it so u just relax. (I know what happened yesterday was an accident. But the fact of the matter is whatever happened happened at the Saibaba temple so it is not easy for me to just forget about it. But do not worry give me sometime I will be back to normal.
The way Bani spoke to Jai stunned him to no end. Here was a girl who Jai thought could never get serious or was capable of a serious talk. Who till yesterday was fighting with like a kid could become so serious. He could see tears in her eyes. Jai just caught her glance but kept driving.
Bani was looking out of the car window. She could not believe that Jai fell for that. At least now he will not bug me for sometime. But she knew in her heart somewhere that what happened yesterday felt so right like it was meant to be. If only he knew..........
Jai also was thinking that he was sad about the sindoor incident but to him also it felt so right. If only she knew.................

Things get back to normal between Jai-Bani.
And again they share a hotel room.
This time they have a pillow fight.
In the morning, Jai-Bani find themselves in each others arms and are pleased and stunned at the sametime.
