here comes
part 29
jai had been on his way home….
He had looked in on the hospital which was just a
few months away from completion..
he wanted to make sure there would b no
delays …
then on an impulse he had gone over to bani's caf…
just to see her once from afar..
but she hadn't been there..
then he had gone to her home… but
his luck seemd to have deserted him…
pushkar's mom told him she still hadn't gotten home
on the way bac his car had stalled and the driver had gone
to get a mechanic..
instead of just sitting in the car jai had wondered out
he felt dejected and upset…he was leaving tmrw..
and there would b no second chance to see bani
as the wind picked up and jai felt a few rain drops hit
his face ..he quickly moved off towards the nearest shelter…
it was an old building…
he recognized it as the post office…
standing against its side … a memory flashed across his mind…
him and roshni…
he had been 14 and roshni was only ten at that time…
she used to b scared of this old place..
he remembered how some mean kids had once left her
here pretending to play hide n seek..
no one had known where she was all day…
so many ppl had been out looking for her
he had been the one to find her
all huddled and scared sitting next to the wall..
he still remembered how furious he had been….
when she had thrown herself in his arms and
had started crying...
after taking her home.. the next day he had gone
and beaten up the boys who had played the trick…
he had vowed to himself never to let her b alone again…
and he had failed in that promise….
The memory just made his mood even worse….
The rain had turned into a torrent…
He moved a lil bac to keep from getting any wetter…
He leaned his head bac and closed his eyes…
And bani just come in front of his closed lids ..
Like she lived there…
Which was true , he supposed…
Ever since they had met…she had become his personal
Hallucination….
He wished for the tenth time that hr,
he could c her before leaving
He opened his eyes as he heard a slight noise…..
For a moment he thought it was another illusion
Bani standing there with her profile illuminated by
the occasional lightning and the weak lite of the street lamp
as he just kept staring… she muttered something.
.which jolted him out of
his trance…his illusions never muttered,,,
so she was really here…
his fates had smiled once again
as she shook some water form her hair…
rubbing her arms to bring some warmth..he had moved
forward..
just before he had reached her, she had stiffened…
there were so many things he wanted to say to her
so many things he needed to say…
but the only words that came out were a lame hello…

bani spun around…..
just a few steps away….
Jai stood motionless……
Bani, forgot that all day she had been wanting to c him
She had been to the hospital without luck
she had gone to walia mansion for that, but he was not there either
now that he was there…she didn't know wat to say or do…..
she just stood stock still
not even replying to his hello…
she was suddenly acutely aware of the
fact that her hair was plastered to her face and neck and
her clothes were clinging to her body…..
jai moved his hand towards her face and gently took a
lock of hair plastered to her cheek and tucked it behind her ear
he smiled as he remembered the first time they had met
she had been soaking wet that day too….
And had looked so beautiful…..
He had never thought at that time , she would
Come to mean so much to him….
Bani had just let him tuck her hair
The feel of him so near and the fact that they were all alone….
His hand grazing her cheek….
"ohhhhh god…not now…
no no pplzzz.. not the hiccups again" she frantically
took a deep breath, trying to calm her nervous response
and catching the sight of his smile…she just did the first thing
that came naturally to her…
Found her voice bac…..
B: wat?
J: hhuh?? Wat wat?
B: y r u smiling…..
J: oh nothing….
B : nothings make u smile??
J: bani I just…..
B: I just wat???? And if its not too much.. can u plz

Coz unlike u , im wet…and cold…and hungry….
Jai just stared at her, unsure of y all of a sudden she seemed
Like a cat on a hot tin roof….
She was still goin on and on , tirading against everything and everyone
She would have rambled the whole nite….
.if jai hadn't moved forward and put his finger on her lips
that did the trick….
Bani shut up…
Almost not breathing….
J:…shhh….
Did anyone ever tell u… u have a beautiful mouth…..
It looks even more beautiful when its closed……..
Jai moved his finger just under her lower lip ,tracing its fullness
Bani who had been rambling to cover up her nervousness..,
Dint know whether to hit him for the insult or
to just stand there and let him get away with it….

i know its short...but im trying to study and update at the same time ...
so i thought small updates more frequently done ...would b better then longish update done with big gaps in btw...
do tell me , if u thought it was cliched or boring...or watever......
