CHAPTER 17: (This long part is dedicated to my lovely ziddi…enjoy hun)
*im starting where I left off on ch. 16 with some one coming that shocks everyone*
-No one can believe that they are actually seeing this person approaching the mandap. Rano is sitting next to Bani because as her only family member Rano is giving her away. Rano wispers into Banis ear…
R- Didi…woh…Cahchi aarahi hai.
(Bani looks shocked and just truns to stare at Rano. Once Bani can see Cachi Bani is shocked too. Cachi has come all dressed up, well for the wedding. She is approaching the mandap.)
S- haye…yeh musibath kahaan se aagaya.
A- I hope ke Cachi Bani ke shaadi mein rukavat nahin banne.
(Cachi comes and sits next to Rano. Bani and Rano just stare at her not knowing what is going on.)
J- Pundit ji aap phirse shuru kijiyeh.
(Bani looks at Jai who keeps his eyes on the flames in front of him. Bani cannot figure what is going on. No one can actually. Just then the pundit says that they need to put Banis hand into Jais hand. Rano puts her hand on Banis arm, then Bani feels another set of hands on her. Bani looks over to see that her Cachi is actually putting her hand into Jai's hand. Bani is so happythat her Cachi is actually doing this. Everyone is shocked. They just keep staring at Cachi. Especially Rano.)
P- Aap aab dulhan ki galle mein malgalsutra pehenayeh.
(Jai pulls out the most beautiful mangalsutra ever. It is made of white gold instead of your common gold. It has little diamonds embedded into it. Ban iloves it. Jai leans over and put it around Banis neck.)
P- Dulhan ki maang bariyeh sindoor se.
(Rano leans in and moves the jewelary that is covering Banis maang. Bani is looking down but Jai is staring right at her. He takes the sindoor and puts it into Banis maang. When he does this Bani closes her eyes. )
Then the pundit begins to chant all the mantras and Jai and Bani begin to take the pheres. As they take the pheres everyone is showering them with rose petals. Anu , Jigyasa and Rano are standing together all of them with tears in their eyes.
S- Adi bhaia dekhiyeh, yeh ladkiyaan har shaadi mein rotih hai.
Adi- Haan, inko toh rona dona hi aatih hai.
(They both turn away from eachother and wipe their own tears. How cute, they are trying to act all macho..)
The pheres are over and Jai and Bani are officially now husband and wife. The get down from the mandap and go to meet their families. Anu, Jigyasa and Rano are waiting for Bani and the bottom fo the mandap and Adi and Sahil are waiting for Jai. Jai goes to his guys as the girls take Bani to just freshen up a little bit.
Time for the reception…..
Setting:
A grand ball room is where the reception is being held. It had a huge chandelier in the middle of th eroom with smaller ones all aroung. The middle of the room has the dance floor. The tables are covered in white and gold table cloths. The center pieces are made of lillies and orchids and glitter is added for show. Each chais is covered by a white cloth and is tied with both pink and gold fabric. Keeping up to the theme of the wedding. The room was beautifully light up.
Jai, Adi and Sahil are all hanging out near the bar having a drink. The guests are having a good time eating and dancing. Cachi is just standing in one corner keeping to herself. Jai is laughing with all the guys when he sees a glint from the corner of his eye. He turns to see that the girls have brought Bani back in. The lighting is perfect. Jai just stares at her. He sees only her, no one else. To Jai the room is empty except for them two. He knew she looked beautiful when she came to the mandap but now under these lights, she took his breath away. Adi and Sahil are not far from being in Jais state. They are each looking at their girls. Both stunned almost as much as Jai is. Sahil breaks out of his trance first.
S- Jai bhaia, aap bhabi ko itne zoor se naa dekhe. She wont dissapear u know.
J- (breaks from his trance) woh…um….tu chup kar!
(Adi and Sahil laugh)
Jai is hoping that Bani will come his way but instead she goes to her cachi with Rano.
B- Cachi, aap meri shaadi mein aaye mujhe bohot aacha laga.
R- Haan cachi, humko toh laga tha ke aap nahin aayenge.
C- Dekho main yahaan aapni marzi se nahin aayi hoon. Woh toh Mr. Walia ne….chodo…unhone kahaan iss liyeh main yahaan hoon. Aab main calti hoon, mujhe yahaan nahin rukna.
(As cachi is leaving Bani becomes sad. She hadnt expected cachi to say that. Still she was glad tha tcachi gave her away. Jai sees the change in Banis expression. He is furious. Its Banis wedding and that stupid cachi made Bani hurt. Jai was about to go to Bani when Jigs and Anu took her to go sit. ) *bechara Jai usse toh chance hi nahin milraha hai.*
The night wears on with everyone dancing and hving fun. Jai and Bani keep stealing glances at eachother. Jigs and Sahil both notice this and decide to do something about it.
Jig- Bhaia do u see what is see?
S- U mean that Jai bhaia and bhabi bar bar ek dusreko dekh rahi hai.
Jig- Haan!
S- Ek kaam karte hai. (he tells her a plan)
Jig- Wah bhaia, kya idea hai. Main abhi jati hoon *she hugs him quickly*
Jigs goes over to Bani while Sahil goes to Jai.
Jig- Bani…oops mere matlab…bhabi…(Bani blushes)…aapko mere saath aana hoga.
B- Lekin kahaan…(jigs just grabs Banis hand and pulls her, winking at Anu and Rano who cant figure out whats going on)
S- Jai bhai aap mere saath chaliyeh, aap se kuch kaam tha.(Sahil gives Adi a signal)
Adi- Haan Jai tum jaonaa.
J- Kya kaam hai tumko aab.
(Sahil just takes Jais hand and lead him off.)
It the middle of the dance floor and Jai looks up to see Jigyasa bringing Bani with her. Jai finally gets it. Bani looks up to see Jai and she gets it too. Jigyasa and Sahil meet up at the dance floor with their people in hand.
Jig- Jai bhaia aapki shaadi hai aaj aur aap apne paatni se dur rehete hai.
S- haan bhaia yeh nahin chalega. Kamse kam ek dance toh hojaye.
J- Sahil….
A- jiju yeh log tik hi toh keherahe hai. One dance.
Adi- Jai come on yaar, sharm kyun.
R- Jiju mujhe nahin paata tha ke shaadi ki din mein dulha ko bhi sharam aata hai.
J- Nahin…aaisa nahin hai…
R- Toh phir meri didi se dance kariyeh na.
(Jai looks at Bani who is looking down she is so embarassed. Then Jai sticks his hand out for Bani)
J- Bani, mere saath dance karoge?
(Bani looks up and hesitantly puts her hand into Jais hand. They first time they touched as husband and wife. They both feel a jolt go through their bodies. Again its like no one is there, just them two. A song comes up on the speaker. That's rignt, its none other that JANI anthem…Jiya Dhadak Dhadak….they are both lost inthemsleves and dance to the song.)
Anu pokes Jigs and winks at her. Jigs cant figure out what is going on.
A- Sahil bhaia, will u dance with me?
(Sahil is caught of guard. What should he say)
S- Kya, main…woh…ok why not…(Sahil takes anus hand and Anu looks and Adi then Jigs and winks at Jigs again. Now Jigs gets it. Rano sees this and takes the next step)
R- Adi bhaia aap Jigyasa ke saath dance kariyeh naa. (Jigyasa is shocked and looks at Rano like she will eat her. Rano pays noattention and just grabs them two and pulls them on to the dance floor.)
Then dance is over but Jai and Bani are just standing on the dance floor. Staring at eachother. Jigs and everyone else comes up from behind)
Adi- Ahemmmmm!...Jai saab music khatam hogaya.
(Jai releases Bani and they both step back. Both blushing into beet read shade. Everyone busts out laughing. Just then Massi comes and tells the girls to take Bani upstairs and get her ready)
The girls take Bani upstairs. They walk into the room and the room looks beautiful. The bead is decorated in pink and white roses. There are are also orchids and lillies used to decorate them. There are vases filled with flowers as well. Hundreds of candels line the window sil, the tables and just all over. Every shape and size. The girls Get Bani up onto the bed and fix her gagra and set her up.
A- Haila Bani, aaj teri suhag raath hai.
Jig- OMG stop it yaar, tum sirf Bani ki baath nahin mere bhai ke bhi baath kar rahi ho. I don't need to hear this.
(They all laugh. They are all lighting the candels getting the final touches ready)
R- Didi kya hua, aap tik toh hai naa.
A- aare tik hi toh hoga, she is just nrevous. Its her first time naa, saab ko aaisa hi lagta hai.
Jig- Anu tumhe kaise paath ke first time kaise lagta hai.
A- Chi yaar come on…not like that…im just saying…
R- Ok chalo, hum ko aapni jiju ko laana hai.
(They girls leave so now Bani is alone)
B- (thinnking)…Rano how can I tell u how nervous I am. And its just not the usual nerves like Anu ws saying. Im not nrevous at all. Im scared out of my mind. I cant do this. They don't say it but they know this wont be my first time. Pushkar has taken that from me. I cant even think about being with another man EVER. What will I say to Mr. Walia, how will I make him understand. No, No I cannot tell him. I cant reject him like that. After all that he has done for me. Im his wife and he expects this from me. God please help me…what will I do. Should I just grind my teeth and not sayanything. But I know I cant go through with this. God please… (Just then she hears the girls laughing and Jai is talking with them, and the noise is getting closer until it is by the door.)
A- jiju we will have to pay and entry fee.
J- What why?!
R- Jiju come on, why does it matter. Aap itna kadoos hai mujhe nahin paata tha. Lagta hai ke didi ki shaadi aapse karke galati kiya hai humne.
Jig- Bhaia aap Rano ko aaise baath kaise kehene diya…aab toh badi rakam dene padange.
J- Janta hoon main tumko Jigs. Tum inki saath iss liyeh de rahiho kyun ki tum ko bhi kuch milega. (jigs smiles a guilty smile)
Jai takes out his money and hands it over to the girls who scream with joy. Haring this Bani knows that the unevitable is here what will she do.
B- Hey bagwan please….
Just the Bani hears the door open and sees Jai walk in. Jai walks over to the bed and……..
