On Mausi's exclamation, all heads turned towards the entrance and everyone gave a warm smile as Jai strode in looking fresh and relaxed, followed by Bani who looked more radiant than the day before, and to the girls delight, took the seat beside Jai, one that she had been avoiding ever since she got back…

Almost immediately, the chatter re-started and the girls talked happily amongst themselves with Aditya and Dadi offering little titbits every so often…across the table sat Ranveer and Sahil, deep in conversation regarding a new business proposal, while Bani segregated herself from the others and tried to concentrate on the food in front of her, failing miserably as her mind wandered back to the events of last night, the memory of his lips claiming his hers, all to fresh in her mind…

Feeling a slight blush creep up her neck, Bani glanced at Jai and noticed that he was discussing something with Mausi, who was seated opposite Bani…a little disappointed, Bani returned her gaze back to her breakfast, but almost dropped her spoon in surprise as she felt Jai clutch her hand underneath the table…

Looking up, she saw he still seemed to be concentrating on Mausi, but her whole arm tingled as his thumb softly caressed her palm, before he entwined her fingers with his…blushing slightly, Bani struggled to release her hand in vain…a few futile attempts later, she gave up and averted her gaze from Jai who was continuously shooting her intense looks …

J: Jigyasa…could you pass the toast please?!

There was pin drop silence as everyone shared a mixture of uneasy and surprised glances, remembering how Jai hadn't talked to Jigyasa for the past two years…even Jigyasa was taken aback, and it wasn't until Jai repeated his request a second time that she gave a shaky smile and handed the small basket over…

Jai continued with his breakfast, as normal, but Raashi didn't miss the reassuring smile Bani gave; guessing rightly that her Bani Mami definitely had a hand in this…
