As soon as he looked in to Bani's eyes I think he realized that Bani is doing it for a reason and he supported her..His change of reaction was so natural.

Hey Ritz, Poor Jai is reeling under the after-effects of being in love at 40 for the first time....He just doesn't know what to do with his wife!😆

On a serious note, it reminded me of an earlier scene, where Jai and Bani (Right after their marriage) have a massive argument and Jai losing his temper raises his hand on her and she looks back at him defiantly and bravely....till he, sizzling with anger and hatred keeps staring at her for some time and gripping his fist tight, gets a control on himself and brings his hand down!

That time, Jai didn't slap Bani out of sheer disgust and anger, this time he didn't slap her simply because he couldn't bear to look at the pain in her eyes! That time Bani stared back at him defiantly because she knew what she was doing was not wrong and she wasn't afraid of Jai Walia, but this time, her eyes filled with tears, because she couldn't help being in love with her husband and it tore her apart to see him in pain because of her!
