Yes.Unintentionally most of the times.Sometimes due to circumstances.Sometimes because I couldn't help it.

Read, paint. Now days I'm on IF in my spare time.

Never gave much thought about him. Let's see. I'm not very demanding. I'd like him to be a cross between Taru Lee and Munna. That's all I think. I know I'm hoping for more than I deserve!

In our culture, hubby is your Prince charming! I am skeptical about this. Time only will tell!

I haven't watched Friday's episode as yet. From what I've read and heard looks like it has to be the magnum opus of KS ever. As of now the 19^th June episode takes the cake.

What do you like writing about?

Stories for children and spiritual non-fiction.

Is your writing usually emotional?

Never.Actually the genre I specialize in is 'macabre'.No space for emotional sob stuff there. Ideally the reader is supposed to be chilled to the bone and experience disgust.

Whats your faveourite past time, besides sitting and watching your munna?

Play the Internet Reversi or read.

Where else have you visted or been to in the world and in India?

I've been to a lot of places within India. I have visited most of the Jyotirlingas and the shakthipits, been to major hill stations and places of historical interest. Only the East has eluded me. I have got several invitations from Kolkotta. One day perhaps.Because of my phobia about flying I've never braved a plane ride for more than two or three hours. So never been out of India.Let's see what the future holds.

Who is your all time ONE fave actor/actress?

I have never had a favorite actor/actress. I swear by characters rather than actors. My all time favorite male character has to be that of Norman bates from the film 'Psycho' and Scarlet O Hara from the 'Gone with the wind'.

I've got used to the cold and enjoy it as long as I don't catch the cold!

How often do you spend munna watching?

Very infrequently.Half an hour everyday for 5 days a week of course. If I'm bored or have some time on my hands I may watch the lautha video I own with him and Amma.

Describe how you look like. e.g. hair...colour eyes

Long face like a banana, eyes like almonds, a fat ugly nose resembling a capsicum, full lips and staright short hair. What do I look like?

If you only had one hour to live and you could do anything you wanted, and i mean anything, what would you do'?

I would go any nearby temple with my family spend about a half hour there have a heart to heart talk with God come back home to breathe my last peacefully and happily thanking my dear ones for everything and then depart for my God's abode with no regrets and yeah watch the 19^th June Vid just once!

One person who you are really close to and why?

My mom. She has been more of my friend and elder sister somebody I can count on somebody who will support me unconditionally and the only one in the whole world whom I can trust with my eyes closed.

Do you read other peoples ff's?

To be very honest I have no time to read ffs but I would love to read them all some day and I will. I read them only on request or recommendations.

I have read yours, Divya's, Aditi's, Jojo's and a couple of MT's. I'm not being politically correct or diplomatic when I say I love them all. All have different styles and each of you leave me hungry for more. More ever I will have to read some more by each of you in order to pass a verdict.

I know free lance writing is your career path but what sort of free lance writing are you thinking of pursuing and how are you going to go about it.

Freelancing is not my career path Shilpa. My long term aim is to settle down as a novelist. But I am not prepared enough. Freelancing is kind of an education in understanding the writers' market, the demands of the readers and other significant whys and hows of the field. Every assignment I undertake is a lesson in understanding and discovering where I am going and why and how and takes me one step further towards my cherished dream. One hand freelancing on the other I try and have my stories published in the local magazines and papers. Some of my work has been published. But I have more of rejection slips than cheques.Currently my work consists more of researching and putting together data and presenting them in an attractive package.Low paying and most of the times no paying at all. The key is to not get dissuaded and go on trying keeping the faith working harder establish yourself and never stop burning the midnight oil.It also means continuously improving your skills by interacting with fellow writers and signing up for workshops catering to whatever genre you are interested in. I'm not sure what I'd like to write about but a novelist I want to be and I will be, by the almighty's grace. Amen.

Also among the writers about, which one do you admire the most?

I love Margaret Atwood's poetry. She's just awesome. Among the authors I worship Chinua Achebe and the dramatist I admire the most has to be Ibsen. These people are not your everyday writer. At the core of their writing is the desire for self discovery the thirst to make a positive difference all around and most important the conviction to tell their story to the world in their own unique way talking to you moving you questioning you goading you to ask questions and answer them too.

Coming back to KS what would your ideal story line be?

It's so sad that these days not even a single show on air has a story line. TRP's dictate everything and justify even the absence of a fixed story line. What exactly is the story of kS? It's sad we can never answer that question directly. I'd like KS to be the story about the defeat and triumph of true love. It will be a grand saga with its share of I think my KS would be the story of the defeat and triumph of true love, a saga of love through the eyes of several different couples. Each couple will represent love at a different level. It will basically be a story about the complexity of human relationships and the impact falling in love has on the characters who are all products of their upbringing and environment. Every character will be well moulded there will plenty of everything there will be twists and turns of course (I'd be running a business after all) but every one of them every emotion every dialogue will be accounted for. No character will will be assassinated or abused. And it will definitely not be dragged for centuries together. The main aim will be to entertainthe viewers at the same time making them connect with the show by making it realistic and believable.

It will be very challenging to stick to your convictions and keeps the TRP meter ticking too.
