PART 13

As Jai and Bani walk to Raj, Priya follows them through the crowd not knowing who they're going to. Upon reaching to where they are, she notices who they were waiting for.

Priya: (who joins the three, now four) Tum?!

Raj: (thinking, not her again!) Tum again?!

Bani: You guys know each other??

Raj: Tum mera peecha yahan tak karne aagayeee??

Priya: Excuse me! Lekin me tumhara peecha nahin kar raheen hoon. TUM mera peecha kar rahey ho!

Raj: ME?! Excuse me but to clear the misunderstanding TUM meri dost ke saath kya kar rahee ho??

Priya: Yahee to mein tumse poochna chahtee hoon! Tum mere best friends ke saath kya kar rahe ho?!

Raj: Arrgh!! Bani yeh kya keh rahee hain??

Priya: Jai yeh kya keh raha hain??

Jai: (Confused) Tum dono yeh kya keh rahein ho?! Mere to kuch samajh mein naheen aa rahaa.

Bani: Ek minute everyone. I know what the problem is over here. But first, can we sit down somewhere pleease?? Fir aaram se, coffee pee ke baath kartein hain, okay you guys??

The gang goes over to a nearby cafe and orders some coffees, and some snacks and take a seat on a table of four. Jai and Bani sit beside each other but as Raj and Priya both attempt to sit they end up aiming for the same spots, right beside each other.

Raj and Priya: Hmph!

Bani: Kya hein tum dono ko?! Sit down for pete's sake!!

Raj: I don't wanna sit beside her alright?

Priya: Mujhe bhi to koi shokh nahin hein tumhare paas bethne ki.

Bani: Just sit down and stop acting like babies! Priya, Raj doesn't bite! And Raj, Priya doesn't bite!

Both Raj and Priya quietly sit down just trying to bear with the situation.

Jai: Okay, ab koi mujhe bataiga keh yeh kya ho rahaa hein? And plus, Bani you didn't introduce me to Raj.

Bani: Okay. Jai, this is Raj. (Going up to Raj with one arm around his neck) Mere yaar, NOT mere pyaar, mera bachpan ka dost and mera sabkuch! He's like my twin!

Raj; Aur moti, Jai?

Bani: (punching him playfully) Raj!! Raj, yeh hai Jai (going to Jai) mera pyaar.

Raj: (hurt at hearing that Bani found someone else) Oh. That's nice.

Priya: Tum dono...? I mean, like when we met there was....wait. Or was there...?

Bani: Pyaar apne aap ho jaata hai. Koi waqt, ya samey naheen dekhaa jaata. Bas, ho jaata hai.

Raj: (kidding around) By the way moti, tum kaafi moti ho gayee ho.

Bani: Hey!!! You don't wanna mess with me.. I've been practicing and practicing.

Raj: Oh really? DO you really think you're that good??

Bani: I'm the best at it.

Raj: To phir ho jaye?? One match, Table Tennis. My apartment??

Bani: (accepting his challenge) Hooo hoo... BRING IT ON!!

Raj and Bani were both excellent players at Table Tennis since they were little. They've been facing each other since they were little. And today, they've met after so many years, they had to have at least one match between them. Whoever won was going to be the best. The four headed to Raj's apartment, Jai and Priya were just spectators watching as two childhood friends met after so many years, catching up and having a little childhood fun. When they reached Raj's apartment, Jai noticed how luxurious it was. Wow. This guy sure must be pretty rich, Jai thought. And as Raj led Bani downstairs to the Rec Room, he was amazed to see how huge and filled up it was. A pool table, a tennis table, a big screen TV hung up on the wall, this guy was loaded!

Bani: Jai, agar tum chaho to you can stand here and watch, Priya you too.

Priya: Yeah, um, we'll just sit here and see you guys play.

Raj: Feel at home you guys. (Looking to Priya) Tum bhi.

Priya: (feeling a little awkward due to Raj's kindness) Thanks..

So, Bani and Raj started their game. Being spectators, Jai observed that Bani really was good at this game. And Raj was also the same. They both were so competitive. It was like watching a match for a Championship Cup or something. He watched the ball go from one end, to the other. And then to the other, and back, and forth, and back and forth. Until Bani finally got a point.

Bani: Yes! One nothing.

Raj: Oh no.. this is just the beginning Bani! Don't underestimate me already!

Jai watched again, as the ball went from here to there, from here to there. But this time, Bani missed it, so RAj got a point.

Raj: See?! Raj ke saath takkar bohot mehengee pareegee moti!!

Bani: Oh yeah??! Take this!!

And their game begins again. Priya takes a sigh, getting bored minute by minute. But still being bored, her mind was on one thing only: about what Bani said about her and Jai at the airport. Since when were they together?? How could that be?? And they didn't even say anything to her?! If they were together, then what was this she was doing with Raj?! Somethings wrong here, she thought. From Bani's face, it doesn't look as if she truly loved Jai, like she does. I love Jai, with a true heart, and Bani does NOT have that look on her face. I hope.... I hope she's not playing with Jai. Oh my God....if she is?!

Priya: Jai, kya tum such mein Bani se pyaar karte ho?

Jai: ( a little concentrated in the match) What kind of silly question is that?? I love her to death.

Priya: And are you sure she loves you the same way?

Jai: Yeahhh.

Priya: (trying to digest what he just said) Ummm.. Jai ek baat kahoon?

Jai: Haan bolo.

Priya: Uh...kitni ajeeb si baat hain. I know you two since almost a year now, but I still don't know Bani's full name. ISn't it funny?

Jai: (now paying attention to what she's saying) Bani Dixit.

Priya: Oh....

Jai: (laughing at their silly conversation) What was that about??

Priya: No actually...just, like I get an awkward feeling whenever I'm around her. It's just....I don't know, an unknown feeling.

Bani and Raj had enough now, they could see the somewhat boredom on Jai and Priya's faces. So they decided to end the game soon so they wouldn't make their friends fall asleep.

Bani: Okay Raj, let's end it here before Jai and Priya fall asleep.

Raj: Kyun?? Too scared to face me huh?

Bani: Nope never ever ever. Jai, wanna go?

Jai: Finally!!

Raj: (packing up and heading towards Jai) Sorry for making you wait yaar.

Jai: That's okay dude. Don't worry about it.

Bani: Priya tum aa rahee ho, naa?

Priya: Yeah..(looking towards Raj) Thanks.

Raj: No problemo. Anytime you guys feel like playing pool or Table Tennis just gimme a ring, I'll be right here.

Bani: (to Raj,) Ab ham jayen please? (giving a kiss on RAj's cheek) Bye dost!

Jai watched what just took place, but stopeed his mind from coming up with suspicions. Come on! you love her! Trust her for once! On the other hand, Priya was beginning toget more surer and surer that Bani was cheating on Jai. Who kisses a FRIEND and that too a guy with her boyfriend right in front of her!? She was going to have to know more about this BAni character.

Raj: (watching BAni and the rest leave) Bye! (Turns and Sighs) Bani , Bani, Bani...kya karunga mein tumhara? Kaise...kaise nikaloonga mein tumhe mere dimaak se?

Ever since they were small, Raj had loved Bani. When they grew big, he always dreamed of their little family, and how he'd first propose to her on a romantic dinner, he'd had high hopes. But today, when Bani said "Jai, mera pyaar" his heart broke into a million pieces. I love her, how can I hurt her? He thought, If being with JAi makes her happy, then I guess it just does. I'm going to have to live with that truth. I can't bear seeing tears in her eyes. I will not try to achieve her for my own selfish sake. I'll do anything for her happiness.

That night Priya decided to search some information out. GUYS THIS IS THE PART WHERE YOU'LL KNOW WHAT THE UGLY SECRET OF PRIYA'S PAST IS. What was the feeling she felt around Bani?? It wasn't a good one for sure. IT felt like, she knew her for so many years, but it wasn't apnaapan. It was hatred. It felt like hatred trapped inside her which transformed into a volcano as soon as she'd be with BAni. And this volcano was goign to explode any time soon. Bani Dixit..eh? Where have I heard that name from? I've heard DIXIT somewhere....but what has it gotta do with BAni?? I know, I could go over to Bani's house. Maybe there I'll find something out. As much as she hated going to Bani's house, she was desperate to find out the raaz behind Bani.

Since it was late in the night, she decided to go in the morning. She got up, brushed her teeth and had her breakfast, and took her car and headed for Bani's house. When she reached her house, she realised how small it was compared to her house.

Priya: Oh my God...how cheap!!

Priya walked up the steps and rang the doorbell. Bani's mother opened the door.

Mom: Are, Priya beta tum? Aao na.

Priya: Hi auntie.. Bani hein?

Mom: Yes, she's sitting in the living room.

Priya: Oh, okay. I'll just meet her over there.

Bani was watching Tom and Jerry and when Priya entered, she turned to see who it is.

Bani: Hey, PRiya!! (goes up to her and gives her a hug) Kaisi ho tum?

Priya: I'm good..

Bani: Come sit. (seats her on the sofa) Bolo, kaise aana aaya??

Priya: Woh.. (beginning to speak but her eyes fall on something else)

Priya gets up and goes to the half stone-heart she sees siting on the table. She observes it trying to recall where she'd seen it before. Yes! Her papa had a similar heart, but the other half. He never took it out though. And he never told her what this was about.

Priya: (turning to Bani) Yeh..

Bani: Yeh, (going up to Priya) yeh meri mama ka hain. Papa ne diya tha. Lekin ab papa is duniya mein naheen re.

Priya: Oh, I'm sorry. Tumhare papa ka kya naam tha?

Bani: Gaurav Saxena.

Priya's heartbeat stops as she realises who this man was.
