PART 13:

Bani's heart skips a beat when she sees jai return a smile to her. Jai walks up to her with his hands in his pockets. He is dressed in a white, collared shirt, with dark blue, quite baggy, jeans. His hair looks wet, and his muddy brown eyes staring at her. Jai sits down with bani, on the log. He takes bani's soft hands in his, and kisses them, causing bani to blush.

Jai: Happy Birthday Bani. (he says huskily)

The touch of jai's hands over hers, sent shivers down her spine. Bani puts her head on jai's strong shoulder and hugs jai's arm. She smiles and responds back to him.

Bani: Thanks. But how'd you know?
Jai: (grins) your sister.
Bani: (giggles to herself) she might as well take a microphone and announce it to the whole world, that it's my birthday.

Jai laughs with bani.

Jai: (changes the subject) hey, I didn't see you at work. How come?
Bani: (sighs) it was quite busy today, I had so much to do.
Jai: well, at least I get to see you now.

Bani takes her head off of jai's shoulder and looks at him, affectionately. Her hands travel to the back of jai's neck and she kisses him on his cheek. She strokes his jet black hair, and smiles at him. Bani puts her back against jai's chest and lays against him. Jai wraps his arms around her and bani snuggles closer to him. Jai kisses bani's shoulder, making her skin feel tingly. Bani feels like melting in jai's strong muscular arms.

Jai: how come you're not inside?
Bani: (shrugs her shoulders) I don't know, I don't really feel like being in there. It's so crowded and stuffy.
Jai: so you're going to stay out here?
Bani: ..yeah. (she says as she looks at the moon)

Bani: jai?…
Jai: yeah?
Bani: imagine if we'd never had confess our feeling towards one another?
Jai: (chuckles to himself) then I'd still be going crazy for you…..

(will explain how they got together, in next part or the next)

Pia, pushkar, rano, and Tanisha sit happily down at their table talking with each other and enjoying themselves, except for Pia. She has her head resting on her right hand and her left hand twirling her straw in her drink, while Pushkar is blabbing on about something to her. She was enjoying herself, some time before, but now was starting to get bored. And plus, bani was still not around.

Pushkar: So as I was-
Pia: hold that thought, for a moment. I'll be right back.

Pia gets out of her seat and adjusts her outfit. Pushkar also gets up.

Pushkar: where are you going?
Pia: I'm gonna quickly get di so we can cut the cake. I'll be back in a moment.
Pushkar: I'll come with you!
Pia: (annoyed) ..fine, I guess.

Both Pia and Pushkar leave the club and search around outside for bani. Pia sees the back of her sister, sitting down on a log, and starts walking towards her. She then suddenly stops, realizing that bani isn't by herself. A cheerful smile comes across pia's face as she watches bani and jai hugging and laughing, enjoying themselves. "So this is why di wanted to come outside…," pia thinks to herself. She moves over to a tree, hiding herself from her sister and jai. Pushkar comes running along, beside her.

Pushkar: What are we doing? (he says a big to loudly)
Pia: Shhh!

Pia points bani and jai out to Pushkar, and he also begins smiling with pia.

Pia: They look so adorable together!
Pushkar: ..yeah, they do. Well, aren't you going to get them?
Pia: And ruin such a romantic moment for them? No!!
Pushkar: so are we just going to wait for them.
Pia: (ignores pushkar and continues to watch jai and bani)
Pushkar: That's it, I'm going over there.

Pia grabs the back of Pushkar's collar and pulls him back.

Pia: no, you're not! Do you have any clue how embarrassing it will be for them, if we just came approached them, while they are in a middle of something?
Pushkar: well, I'm not going to wait. I'm a very impatient man.
Pia: (groans) ok, give me your cell phone.

Pushkar gladly hands it over without questioning her. Pia dials a number and waits for the other line to pick up.

Jai's cell phone begins to ring and he takes it out from his pocket, and answers it.

Jai: hello?
Pia: um, hello? This is pia.
Jai: oh, hey.
Pia: hi, actually I was wondering when you were coming, because we are waiting impatiently for you. We're also about to cut the cake, so if you would please hurry-
Jai: oh, I'm sorry. Uh, …(thinking) I'll be there in a minute.
Pia: (cheerfully) Thank you!

Jai hangs up and puts his cell phone back in his pocket.

Bani: Who was it?
Jai: your sister. She's saying that everyone's waiting for me and that they're about to cut the cake.
Bani: Cake?
Jai: yeah, ..we should start heading in.

Jai stands up and pulls bani up with him. He wraps his arm around bani's waist, and they both go walking in.

Pia and Pushkar watch jai and bani walk back together inside the club. When the coast is clear, they also start heading inside.

Pia: Don't you think they're so cute together?! (she squeals with happiness)
Pushkar: How many times are you going to say that?

Pia rolls her eyes at pushkar and ignores him. She quickly walks inside, eager to meet up with bani and jai.
