Part 8
Its been two weeks since Masi last saw Bani with Jai. She thinks to her self that I need to somehow get these two together. How am I going to pull this together? She decides she is going to go pay munna a visit in the office again. I need an excuse though otherwise he will suspect something. Kya excuse, soch masi soch, yes agaya idea. Masi immediately leaves for the office. Didn't take her very long she was on a mission.
She walks into Munna's office. Jai is surprised to see her here. "Masi aap yaha sab teek toh hai."
"Everything is fine beta, kya mujhe tumhare office mein ane ke liye koi vaja chahye, waise toh mein kaam se ayi hoon."
"Kaisa kaam masi,"
"Woh mein soch rahi thi ke abh sab ghar hain toh kyon na hum ghar par pooja kare, waise bhe mein janti hoon ke sab tum mere bina toh ghar mein pooja karwate nahin.
"Teek hai masi jaisa aap chahti hai waisa he hoga" Jai is noticing Masi keeps looking around. "kya baat hai aap kise dhoond rahi hai."
"Mein kise dhoondigi beta. Mein to woh ….. waise Bani nazar nahi aai."
"Woh masi" and just then bani knocks and opens the door and walks in, " Lo agai Bani bhe"
"Mr. Walia, Namaste Aunti" Masi notices that Bani looks very nice in a plain blue pajama suit.
"Namaste beti, acha hua tum agi. Hum ghar par puja kar rahe hai parso tumhe woh bhe waha ana hoga."
"Woh tho teek hai lekhin, Mr. Walia khe meeting hai aru humhe ouse khe liye bhe jana hai. Sunday. Mujhe bahut kaam hai aru meri bahein."
Masi doesn't want to hear any excuses, " Aisa karte hain parso Saturday hai tumhara day off tum anpe baheno ke saath ghar par ajana or tum sabh guest house mein rehna, Or from there you can leave for the meeting on Sunday. "
"Lekhin auntie Pia or Rano," she was worried about them.
"Bani ous ke fikhar tum mhat karma. Jab tak tum wapus nahin aate Pia or Rano guest house mein rahen gi. Teek hai Jai tumhe koi problem tho nahi hai."
Jai wasn't sure where all this was going to lead, but he was really looking forward to having Bani around. "Mujhe koi problem nahi hai"
"Then its settled, Bani see you Saturday. It will be so nice. Maine Puskhar ko be bulaya hai kuch dhino kay liye. Aach mein ab chalti hoon." Masi left.
Bani was not comfortable with the situation. What should I do she thinks to herself. "Mr. Walia I'm sorry I told your Masi I would come, but I don't know about this. I will come up with some excuse."
"No need Bani, if Masi wants tou to be there then you will be there. Aisa samjo ke its an requirement and part of the job. I will send a driver to pick you guys up in the morning around 9."
Bani nodded and left the office, leaving Jai thinking. Mein janta hoon ke masi yeh sab kyon kar rahi or phir bhe I'm allowing it. Why am I always feeling a pull towards Bani. Do I have feelings for her? What feelings are these? Would Bani be willing to marry me if Masi asks or will she be looking at the age difference between u? Am I willing to marry Bani, but I don't want to get married. Yeh mujhe kya hogaya hai. . I am going to have to stop thinking like this. Jo hoga dekha jaye ga.
Its Saturday Bani and her sisters have arrived at the Walia Mansion and are getting settled into the guest house.
Masi is talking to Jigayasa in the main house. "Mais yeh aap kya rahi hai ek mamooli se secretary kho es ghar, Walia Mansion mein invite kiya. Yeh humara ghar hai not some homeless shelter."
"Aias nahin kahte, mujhe Bani achi lagti hain, or paisa sabh kuch nahin hota hai"
"Aap nahin janti masi yeh paisa sabh kuch karwata hai, dekh lena yeh jho gareeb ghar ke bahut hi chalak hongi, phir mujhe nahin kahena ke bataya nahin tha."
"Tum yeh sabh shodo mein hoon na. Pooja khe sab tayari hogi hai, tum jakar dekho if everyone is ready. Pooja ka samha hogaya hai." Jigaysa leaves and Jia comes down the stairs and is standing next to Masi.
Bani alond with with Pai and Rano is entering the house. Bani is wearing a white salwar with a sleevless white Kameez with a thin red border along with a white duppatta with a red border. She is wearing a few red and white bangles. Her is hair is pulled back in a low pony tail with a side part. She is wearing a white plear necklace and small pearl earrings. She looks like an angel. Pia is wearing a long blue skirt with a white t-shirt and Rano is wearing a yellow pajami suit.
Masi notices the way Jai is looking at Bani and is overjoyed that her plan is going well, "Bani," Masi began "perfect timing. She asks everyone to sit down and Masi made sure that Bani was sitting next to Jai, when bani sat down her one side of her dupatta land on Jia's leg and she didn't notice. Jia noticed right away and put his arm on it. It felt so so soft. Pia and Rano were seated behind them. Jigyasa and Adi sat on one side with Ranveer sitting behind them. Just then Pushkar and Sahil and Anu walk down with Baji and they have a seat next to Masi. Pooja has begun
Puskhar and Pia locked eyes they moment they saw each other. The whole time the pooja was going on they kept steealing glaces at each other. Pooja was over and everyone was getting up when Bani got up she felt a tug on her dupta and lost her balance and fell on Jai. She put her hands on Jia's shoulder to balance herself. They kept looking at each other and didn't'move. Masi was enjoying this very much. "Jai………Bani………" No answer. Masi tried again "Jai…. Bani…" they both looked up feeling very guilty and stook up very quickly. "Chalo beta khanna lag gaya hai sabh kho wapus bhe jana hia" They aall ate and was preparing to leave. Bani, Pia and Rano were getting to leave as weel when Pushkar ceme up to them. "Hi Bani, it's nice you could make it to the pooja today."
"Hi, Pushkar, I am glad I came. These are my sister, Rano and Pia."
"Hello Rano, Pia"As much as Pushkar wanted to stick around and get to know Pia he knew he had a lot of work to do. Jai was leaving tomorrow and he had to prepare everything. "Well I have to go, hopefully I will see you around Pia………… Rano." and he takes leave. Pia went back to the guest house with her sisters. Jai and Masi are seated on the couch talking.
"I'm so glad everything went well, Tumhare meeting ke liye sabh tayari hogi, beta. Kabh ja rahe ho."
"Kal subha ja rahe hai. The flight is at 10 in the morning, so Bani and I will have to leave fairly early."
Masi is thinking to herself. Yeh dono akale ja rahe hai. Ek duje ke sath time spend karege tho acha hoga, Pune mein kuch aisa hojaye jise mera kaam asan ho jaye. "acha beta I am feeling very tired I am going to rest for a while." And leaves.
