Part 9
Bani and Jai are being driven to the airport. Bani is lost in thoughts. Jai is looking at her with a faint smile. "kay soch rahi ho Bani? Pareshan dikh raho ho?"
"Kuch nahi Mr. Walia aise koi baat nahi hai. Pia or Rano kho kabhie akela nahi choda es liye thodi se ghabrat hai."
"Tum fikhar mhat karo Masi hai waha or hum kaha hamesa ke liye jah rahe hai. Sirf 2-3 din ki baat hai. Everything will be fine." Just then they arrive at the airport and Jai being a gengleman grabs Bani's luggage and are headed to check in. They go toward the counter and hand the tickets.
The counter person without looking at both tickets greets Jai. "Hello Mr. Walia, Mrs Walia. How are you guys doing?" Jai and Bani look at the guy and then at each other.
Jai was the first to correct him. " We are not married, we are going on a business trip."
"I'm sorry Mr. Walia , Miss Dixit. I apologize, I just assumed you were married."
"That's ok" They leave and are heading over to board their plane. Since they are flying first class they are seated first. Bani has the window seat and Jia is seated next to her. The plane is getting ready to departure. Inside the plane its always a little chilly so Bani grabbed a blanket and was ready.
Jai notices that she is now settled in decides to start a conversation. " Bani have you been to Pune before?"
"No Mr. Walia this is my first time. Agar seminar be bhad time mila then I would like to take a look around."
"Seminar ke bhad time hoga, lekhin we have time today since we are early and the seminar doesn't start until the morning. If you don't' mind I would like to show you around."
"Mein aur aap, hum dono" she is a litte hesitant
"Mein aur tum, hum dono ekhi hain" he laughs "Yes the both of us. Do you have a problem with going with me."
"No Mr. Walia aise bhat nahin hain, that's fine" Bani is feeling a little tired since she woke up early is falling asleep. Jai grabs the newspaper and is reading about the business world. After a while he felt weight on his shoulder and puts the paper down to notice that Bani's head is resting on his shoulder. He is looking at her and the song from "Hum Ho Gaye Aaap Ke" is playing in the background.

Jai is looking at Bani and thinking yeh mujhe kya hogaya hai. Jab bhe main Bani ko dekhta hoon tho itne bechani kyon hai. Mein kyon bahane dhoodtha hoon Bani ke sath waqt betane ke liye. Yeh Pune ka trip it wasn't necessary for me to come I could have sent anyone. I could have come alone, but I wanted to come with Bani. Jai rests his head back and falls asleep with his thoughts.
"Good afternoon ladies and gentlman this is your captian speeking, we have arrived in Pune. Enjoy your trip."
Bani and Jai woke up. Bani head was still rested on Jai's shoulder and Jia was leaning his head toward Bani. Bani had her around Jai stomache to snuggle closer to get warm. They jolted back when they noticed.
"I'm sorry Mr. Walia. Woh nheend mein pata nachin chala"
"Its ok Bani, I fell asleep too." They get up. "Ready to go?" They get off the plane grab their luggage and walk outside and a car is waiting to take them to their hotel. The driver drops them off at the front of the hotel and they go in to the front counter to check in.
"Good afternoon Sir, Madan may I help you" asked the desk attendant.
"Yes I have reservations for two rooms under Mr. Walia"
"Oh yes of course Mr. Walia you had requested two suites……….. I'm so sorry sir but we have only one suite available."
"WHAT, what do you mean you only have one booked. When my office called you we had confirmed two, so what is the problem now."
"I'm sorry Mr. Walia for the confustion but we double booked, We had contacted your house last night and a lady had told us that it woldn't be a problem"
Jai is thinking to himself who could it be….OMG Masi who else. "I don't know who you spoke to but I need two rooms please."
"I'm sorry sit we don't have any suites available, actually we don't have any rooms available everthing is booked. There is a show in town".
Jai is really irriated by now. " Can you please call some of the other hotels we need two rooms" The man turns around and is making phone calls. Jai looks at Bani. Bani had this bland look on her face. What is masi doing to me. I don't want Bani to think I did this on purpose. What must she be thinking about me.
"Excuse me sir…… Mr. Walia. Mujhe kisi bhe hotel mein koi bhe room nahi mila. I am so sorry. I don't know what to say. For your trouble the room will be on us. I am sorry once again. Here are the keys to your suite. Let me call the bell boy to get your bags for you." He leaves.
Jai and Bani are looking at each other.
