PART 6It was quite late in the afternoon when they got home. They brought all the packages and Bani discreetly picked up the one she got for Mr. Walia and went and put it in her cupboard. At the same time Jai was running to his study to hide Bani's present so that he could give it to her on the wedding day. They both met at the stairs. "Chale Bani?" Jai enquired, his hand brushed gently against hers as he started walking down the stairs. They handed out presents to everyone. Jai kept staring at Bani, who looked so happy. She was smiling and laughing. He was so busy watching her every move that he didn't hear Massi calling him. Massi smacked him on the back of the head and brought him out of his daze. "Kya Massi aap bhi na," he said blushing that he'd been caught staring at his very beautiful wife.
"Kya Massi lagai raka hai? I've been calling you for ages," she said huffily. "I wanted to know did you buy anything for Bani."
"Massi of course I have. I'm not that stupid," said Jai arrogantly, which earned him another smack on the head from Massi.
"Munna tumhara koi pata nahi. Why don't you give it to her?" Massi asked
"Nahi Massi, it's a surprise," Jai said blushing again
"Shukar hai Munna tumhe akal to aagaye," Massi said happily.
Bani who was in a really good mood took the present that she had gotten for Rano, and handed it to her, gently kissing her on both cheeks. "Rano, wear this on Anu's wedding please. I wish that I could do something for you, but I can't," Bani whispered into Rano's ear, her smile slowly disappearing from her face.
"Di, its okay, I'll survive. Somehow I will," Rano whispered back into Bani's ear, and took the present from Bani's hands.
"Chalo sab, the guests are going to arrive in two hours, you have to go and get ready now," Massi's voice rang out.
Jai & Bani's Bedroom
Jai walked out of the bathroom in a cream coloured kurta pajama. His eyes swept over Bani and stuck there. She was wearing a burnt orange sari, her choodiyan tinkled at her wrist as she put her earrings on. She than put her tika on. Her hair was tied in an intricate bun, revealing the graceful line of her neck. Bani was struggling to put her necklace on, so he came up behind her and gently pushed her hands away. His eyes connected with hers in the mirror. He closed the clasp of the necklace and than tied the dori of her blouse.

jaayen It was as if time had stood still for both of them. Their eyes were locked together and the air seemed to sizzle with electricity around them. Their breathing deepened. Bani felt Mr. Walia's hands gently skim down both her arms, sending shivers through her body and hel her hands. . Mr. Walia was gently leaning closer………..
Loud knocking intruded their daze, snapping them back to reality. They jumped apart and Bani rushed to open the door. It was Rano.
"Di, Massi is calling you. Raashi and Rohit have arrived. I've been knocking for ages, what took you so long? And Di, your looking flushed, are you feeling alright?" Rano rambled on. Bani's hand reached up to touch her face. It was hot to touch and knew that it was it Mr. Walia's doing.
"I was just getting ready, come on lets go down," Bani said taking Rano's hand. Bani noticed that Rano was looking quite happy for a change since Sahil's whole wedding had been planned. "Rano, you're looking quite happy today. What happened?" Bani asked concerned for some reason. Rano smiled and said;
"Di I've accepted the circumstances, and know what's going to happen is going to happen." Bani nodded and smiled at her smart sister.
Downstairs music played and girls were dancing. Anu and Raashi were sitting in the middle and enjoying themselves. "Bani you took so long. Come on go and sit with the girls," Massi said to her. "Rano you go as well." Both of them went and sat down. Dadi came along and was telling all the girls how to control their husbands after marriage. "Yeh lo kar lo gal, the boys have come now we'll have some fun. We'll play antakshari, girls against boys," Dadi exclaimed happily. When she saw Sahil, Rohit, Ranveer, Adi, Jai and their friends join them. "Great idea Maa, chalo Jai, let show these girls ke huim bhi kuch kam nahi," Adi said dragging a protesting Jai with him. "Rohit you start," Adi declared.
Rohit sang "Suraj hua madam…." And so they went wit h the girls and boys neck and neck. It was Bani's turn and she had to sing a song beginning with "K." Without even thinking about it Bani began to sing ……

Her gaze met with Mr. Walia's and connected. She finished singing and it was now Jai's turn to sing a song…. All the guys were encouraging him so that they could win against the girls. However, his brain was a bit frazzled after hearing Bani singing, because he really wanted to believe that the words were true and not just a song. He kept staring at Bani, and Bani looked back at him with just as much intensity.

Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah "Yaar Jai, times up. We lost," complained Adi bringing Jai back to reality. The girls were all whopping and clapping at their win. The guys were than shooed away so that the girls could have their mehndi put on. Massi came and joined them and said; "Do you know the girls whose mehndi comes out really dark, it means that her husband loves her a lot." Bani got up and began to move away. "Bani where are you going?" Massi asked.
"Uh Massi I was just going to check if everything was okay." Bani replied.
"No, Bani you get mehndi put on as well." Massi ordered. Bani nodded and sat down. "Raashi, Anu and Bani get the mehndi designer to hide your husbands names in the design, and than we are going to see if they can find their names," Massi declared. When it was Rano's turn to get her mehndi put on she whispered into the stylist's ear to hide Sahil in her design.

Nayi khushiyaan milnewaali hai When the girls had their mehndi put on Massi called Jai, Rohit and Sahil. "Now you boys have to find your names in your wives mehndi. Whoever can find their name gets a kiss from their wives on the cheek. The guys all whopped and cheered the three of them to go and find their names. Bani, Anu and Raashi held out their for husbands to inspect. Jai took hold of Bani's hands, who was blushing, and gave her a teasing smile. He started looking for his name, because he wanted that kiss out of Bani badly. He let his gaze sweep over her hands a couple of times, until he saw his name come into focus. "Found it," he said shouting out loud. Massi came over to inspect if he truly had found his name or not. He had. "Bahu, chalo, give Munna a kiss." Massi instructed. Bani blushed, "Massi nahi. In front of everyone? Iiii ccan't do that," she stuttered out. Massi looked at her with a smile and said; "Bani beta a game is a game, you have to follow the rules. Now give Munna a kiss." Meanwhile, Jai hade the biggest grin on his face as he watched his blushing wife. He offered his cheek forward, so that Bani could kiss it. Slowly she moved forward and gently placed a kiss on her husband's cheek. Her lips seemed to tingle at the connection, and she felt Mr. Walia take a deep breath as well. She slowly moved away, and everyone was whooping and clapping and whistling. Bani was slowly turning tomatoe red.
However, Rohit who had been trying really hard could still not find his name in Anu's mehndi, and Sahil who wasn't even looking that hard hadn't found his name either. So neither of them got any kisses from their wives.
