The doorbell rings...we see bani going to answer it, but roshni gets there first. seeing her bani turns around and starts to walk away. but Roshni tells her to stop and comes close to her with an evil smile on her face "So Jai is finally divorcing you"
Bani looks at her stunned. "These are your divorce papers, you better sign them and leave!"
She just leaves a heartbroken bani standing in the middle of the room holding an envelope with the divorce papers.
Dazed she slowly walks towards their bedroom with the KS title song playing slowly and sadly in the background. As she walks she thinks about her wedding day, the dori scene, the button scene, the consummation night etc. When she gets to the room she realises that she cannot stay here anymore and after receiving the papers realises that jai doesn't want her, and hence she cannot bear to face him. she quickly packs her stuff - only whatever she brought with her from mt. abu and leaves everything she got from either the wedding or jai etc.
she takes out the divorce papers and signs them, all the while letting her tears fall freely, some fall onto the papers too. then she takes out Jai's nightwear etc gets everything ready like usual, and gives tony the orders for Jai's dinner, then quietly leaves the house. She has no where to go - Rano has run off with Sahil and she had sent Pia bak to Pushkar. She doesn't want to go to Pia's as she has just finally settled, so she goes to the mandir.
Jai comes home and looks around lost. Mausi sees him and asks whats wrong - he says he doesn't know but has been feeling restless all day like something close to him has gotten lost, then he realises that he hasn't seen bani and that she is usaully there to meet him.
He asks mausi where she is, to which she replies she doesn't know, she hasn't seen her either, so he calls tony and asks him. Tony tells him that some courier had arrived earlier in the day and that after that Bani ma'am had given orders as usual and then she left, but she didn't seem happy about it.
Jai runs upstairs into his room to see if she has left any note for him, but all he see is the signed divorce papers, and the smudges caused by her tears.
It suddenly hits him that his restless feelings were to do with the depature of bani, and that although he thought he could give her a divorce easily, his heart feels as though it has stopped beating. it is in that moment that all his confusions regarding Bani are cleared and he realises that he cannot live without her and must find her and bring her back.
He leaves the house and drives like a madman to Pushkar's to see if she has gone there, but finds out that they haven't heard from her, he then searches everywhere but can see no sign of her.
He gets a phonecall from the Rustamji hospital telling him that his wife has just arrived there and is in serious condition.
Panic-stricken Jai drives through Park road and arrives at the hospital, where he finds out that bani had been going to the mandir but was mugged on the way and has a stab wound and needs to be operated. Jai goes to the temple in the hospital (They always seem to have them in indian serials) and prays for bani's well being and asks forgiveness for the park rd incident 7years ago and says please don't punish bani for what i have done...etc
Anyway, at the end of the op, we see her in recovery. The next day she wakes up and sees jai sleeping in the chair next to her bed holding her hand firm.
When he senses that she is awake he wakes up and comes near her. Bani can see his eyes full of concern and worry. He asks her why she left him?? What if something happened to you? I just found you and now you are leaving me?? Do you know how hard i was trying to find you, then the hospital rang and all i could think about was the void in my heart that can only be filled by you and i was praying that nothing should happen, i love you bani i can't live without you, please don't leave me...
They are both crying at the same time...
Bsni then says "Mr Walia, I am in love with you too and have been for a very long time, i didn't want to leave you but the divorce papaers..."
He tells her to forget and never mention them again. he teels her that he burnt them as soon as he saw them.
