Part 7:
The party ends. The guests have had a great time. All the household members are seated in the drawing room. Just then there is a call.
Its jigyasa. Masi receives the call.
Masi: hello
Jigs: hello, kaun masi
Masi: haan mein hoon. Jigyasa, beti tu kahan chali gayi mere aane se pehle. Beta kyu chhoti baat dil se laga li. Teri beti ki shadi pakki ho gayi hai aur tera koi pata bhi nahin
Jigs (crying) : masi janti hoon. Ranvir ne bataya. Anu se baat karne ke liye phone kiya.
Masi: tu pehle meri baat sun. ma ke bagair koi shadi nahi hoti. Jitni jaldi ho sake, tu aaja. Main koi bahana nahi sunungi. Tujhe ana hi hoga. Anu ka sawaal hai. Samajh rahi hai na?
Jigs: masi jaanti hun. Anu bhi mujhe bohot yaad kar rahi hogi. Mein kya karu masi. Itni bezzati ke baad…….
Masi: beta naraaz nahi hote. Sab ghar wale hai. To bezzati kaise? Tu aa rahi hai!
Jigs (crying even louder) haan masi. Mein Anu ki shadi kaise miss karu. Mein zaroor aaoongi. Par shayad aur ek week lag jaye. Yaha mausam bohot kharab hai. Par anu ki shadi to 2-3 din me hi hai
Masi: tu kaise bhi aja
Jigs: kya aap sabse baat kar ke shadi aage nahi bada sakte. Please ek week postpone kardijiye.
Masi: theek hai mein baat karlungi. Par Anu ko phone nahi de rahi. Tu jab ayegi tabhi bat karna.

The walias call up the chopras and it is decided that the marriage will be postponed by a 2 weeks not 1 because panditji is unable to find auspicious dates.
Jai and aditya are reminiscing the past, anu's childhood. How they used to play with her. Dadi and masi are listening. Dadi is crying tears of joy and sadness, Masi's eyes are moist and Bani is comforting both of them.
Bani: dadi please mat roiye. Anu bohot dur thodi ja rahi hai. Hum usse roz baat karenge and agar aap chahti hai to mil bhi sakte hai. Aur sabse badi baat yeh hai ki wo khush rahe gi. Rohit aur Anu love eachother. He will never let her cry. She will have all the happiness she deserves and desires.
Jai stiffens listening to Bani talk about love and care. There is longing on his face….perhaps it's the longing to comfort the one who is comforting others…
Masi: biji, sach hi to keh rahi hai Bani. Aap bhi na. itni movies dekhti ho phir bhi kuch nahi seekhi. Anu ko apna hero milne wala hai Biji and tension mat lijiye. Achcha ek kam karte hai. Kal phir se farmhouse chalte hai. Anu ke saath maza karenge. Phir shayad mauka na mile. Kyu munna?
Jai: jaisi aap ki marzi Masi. Yeh bhi koi puchne ki baat hai! Kal niklenge aur parson lautenge.
Aditya: arre wah jai. Fursat mein lag rahe ho. Idea bura nahi hai. Maza ayega.
Next morning
Its early and everyone is getting ready. Bani has worn a light green sleeve-less salwar suit and tied her hair in a bun. On the other hand Jai has worn a casual short sleeved shirt. Bani is wearing her watch, when Jai comes to get his. Both are facing the mirror with Jai behind her.
Jai: Bani kya tum mujhe meri watch pass karo gi
Bani hand it to him, Jai takes it and walks away. As he is about to leave the room, he gives one look to bani:
Jai: baal khule chod do. Achhi lago gi.
As Bani turns around he leaves the room smiling to himself.
Everyone comes down and Bani joins them., Anu, Sahil, Rano leave in one car, Ranveer, Aditya, Masi and Dadi leave in one. Bani and Jai are leaving together. They walk towards their car.
Jai is opening the front door of his car as Bani comes and opens the back door. Jai who is about to sit stops midway and thinks about their first trip to the farmhouse and gets highly frustrated with himself.
Jai: Bani tum kya kar rahi ho? Peeche…
Bani (pulling his leg, she seems happy today,innocently): Mr. Walia mein to yeh packets peeche rakh rahi thi. Kyun aapne kya samjha??
Jai: (thanking god, feels relieved) nahi nahi kuch nahi. Jaldi karo sab nikal gaye.
They sit in the car and Jai starts driving giving her these glances every now and then.
Jai: Bani
Bani:jee
Jai: khule bal mein achhi lag rahi hoo
Bani (feeling shy) uh kya mein radio on kar sakte hoon?
Jai (pretending to be serious) nahi, radio vadio lagane ki koi zaroorat nahi hai.
When Bani gives him a scared, confused look,
Jai: ofcourse laga sakti ho. It was just a joke. Kya mein itna bura hoon jo tumhe radio na lagane doo?
Bani (meekly) nahi…..
As she turns the radio on to FM 99.9, the song Do Dil Mil Rahe Hai Magar Chup ke Chup ke from Pardes in playing

Baatein kar rahi hai, nazar chup ke chup ke…..
Jai: waise mujhe yeh gana bohot pasand hai, ache lyrics hai, hai na
Bani: ji? Ji…mujhe bhi
In Sahil's Car:
Anu is busy talking to Rohit on the phone at the back. Rano is sitting in the front seat beside Sahil. Both are fighting over which radio station to listen to.
Rano: Sahil that's enough. Tum mujhe apni pasand ka radio kyun nahi lagane dete
Sahil: car meri hai, to station bhi meri pasand ka hoga!
Rano (changing the station) Sahil!!!
Sahil promptly changes it. This keeps going on until Rano stops at FM 99.9
Aise Bhole ban kar hai baithe, jaise koi baat nahi
Sab kuch nazar aa raha hai, din hai yeh raat nahi…….
Sahil doesn't change it.
Rano: ab kya hua, kyun change nahi kiya?
Sahil: Rano mujhe yeh gana bohot pasand hai. Bilkul dil ki baat karta hai
Rano (understanding the point, softens) hmm
In Aditya's car: adi, masi, dadi are joking and laughing. Ranvir is driving with a serious face.
Dadi: dekho Billo aur Aditya, ab hame is sapole ki shadi karni chahiye, koi to chahiye jo isse muskurane ka mauka de.
Masi: Dadi…….kya aap bhi. Waise baat to apne sahi kahi hai
Dadi: haye billo! Ab mein iske liye nagin kaha se dhoondhu??!
Ranvir gives them a nasty look. They all burst out laughing, while Ranvir curses his fate, thinking if not for Anu, he wouldn't be here!
Everyone reaches the farmhouse. After relaxing, they come and have a great time playing games and joking.
Aditya: ok everybody. Sab yahan aa jao. Hum ek game khelne wale hai Truth and Dare. Rules to sab ko pata hai. So lets make a circle.
Everyone gathers. And aditya spins the bottle. It lands on Ranvir!
Aditya: bolo ranvir, truth or dare
Ranvir: meine kaha na, mujhe nahi khelna yeh bachcho ka khel
Anu: please bhaiyaa
Ranvir: na mein sach se darta na kuch karne se!
Dadi: mere sapole, tujhe is khel se kya problem hai,
bol na Tarruth ya Der?
Ranvir: Dare
Anu: Bhaiyya, to phir, yeh karoge: I dare you to get married right after my marriage
Everyone bursts out in giggles, where as ranvir, highly irritated walks away.
Aditya spins the bottle, it lands on Sahil
Sahil: truth
Aditya: bata mere bete, tujhe kisi se pyar hai?
Sahil: haan hai ek priety zenta…. And looks at Rano
Rano just smiles to herself…
Sahil spins, it lands on Jai:
Jai: chalo mein dare karta hoon
Sahil: soch lijiye mamaji, phas jayenge, you cant backout!
Jai: thinks for a while, sticks to dare thinking if he says truth, he might have to say something he doesn't want to!
Sahil: ok get ready……..mamaji mamiji ko ek kiss dijiye cheek par!
Jai and Bani are SHOCKED! Jai is like oh no god save me, where as Bani goes crimson and starts looking everywhere but at Jai!
Jai: Sahil ye kya bachpana hai, kuch aur kaho
Sahil: mamaji!!!! No backing out. U know the rule!!
Masi: oh ho munna! Itna bada ho gaya hai phir bhi kyun sharma raha hai
Jai: masi aap bhi?, mujhe nahi khelna
Masi: theek hai mat khel, lekin teri turn ho jaye, phir quit karna
Jai starts squirming, and bani is already sweating.
Bani: mujhe neend a rahi hai, I have to go
Aditya: chup chap yehi baitho bani! Ek bar jai ki turn ho jaye, phir tum bhi ja sakti ho
Aditya: chalo hurry up, bakiyo ko bhi khelna hai, gives jai a push
Both are rooted to their spot.
Aditya: acha sahil inko discount de do.
Sahil: theek hai theek hai, haath par hi sahi, agar gaal par nahi
Jai is reaching for Bani's hand, as she retreats it somewhat.
Sahil: we are waiting…………..
Jai finally takes her hand, and looking into her eyes raises it to his lips.
Bani is going crazy, embarrassed as well as shocked. She has butterflies in her stomach. Never was it so bad. Not even when she had to sing a song for the first time in front of her entire school. She had hugged jai. But it was to comfort him. Never were they both conscious…..
Finally, jai takes her hand and gives her a light, and delicate kiss.
Immediately Bani says: mujhe sona hai, and runs away.
Jai just keeps looking at her retreating figure.
Its night time. Dinner is done with but poor Bani who still could not forget the incident has hardly eaten anything. Everyone retires to his/her room. Bani just stays with Rano talking to her about things. Soon it starts raining. Rano all excited rushes outside to enjoy the rain. Bani is smiling looking at her, when Rano pulls her along. They both get wet head to toe. Just then Rano starts sneezing.
Bani: Rano kya hua! Offo mujhe tumhari baat nahi maanni chahiye thi. Kyu bheegne diya tumhe, chalo ayo andar.
Bani sends her to her room, and she stays downstairs. She doesn't want to be in her room with jai. She is feeling too shy to face him. Thinking about her life, she just walks out standing in a daze.
She thinks : I shouldn't let my self get too dreamy. Such little things hardly matter to Mr. Walia, we have to part soon. Bani get a grip over yourself. Don't be so emotional. But how can i…
Upstairs, jai upon not finding Bani in their room, comes downstairs looking for her. Seeing Bani outside, jai walks out with an umbrella in hand. And keeps his hand on banis shoulder, moving the umbrella so it covers her as well.
Jai: Bani tum yaha barish mein kya kar rahi ho?
Bani (jolted out of her thoughts) Mr. Walia aap yaha
Jai: chalo andar, beemar ho jao gi
He holds her by her shoulder and walks her inside, to their room. Jai hands Bani a towel:
Jai: bani jaldi sukhalo apne apko. Yeh lo
Bani takes it from jai and goes inside the washroom, changes into her gown and comes out, goes and sits on her side of the bed.
Jai: uh Bani tum itni chup chup kyun ho?
Bani: ji wo kuch nahi
Jai: kuch hua kya, koi tension hai, barish mein kya soch rahi thi
Jai walks over and stands in front of her
Bani: nahi Mr. Walia kuch nahi
Jai: bani tum mujhse share kar sakti ho batao, mana ki hum thode din hi..
A tear trickles down Banis cheek.
Jai: Bani please, dekho ro mat. Dekho please
He gets agitated, doesn't know how to comfort her, and in an impulse places his palm on her cheek as he wipes away her tear with his thumb.
Jai: its ok. Bani kya hua?
Bani is losing herself as she looks back at him.
Cool breeze starts blowing from the windows, and silence prevails
Just that one tear, she isn't crying anymore.
He still has her hand on her cheek, caressing her. Gently, he pulls her into a hug, enveloping her small figure. She gives in as she moves closer to him………………
hi everyone!! sorry to keep u all waiting soo long. i jsut became busy with monday onwards. but here it is . after todays disappointing episode which featured the witch again, thought of cheering everyone somewhat. made it kinda long and on the lighter side. hope u all enjoyed it!
