At the Walia Mansion there is a grand party going on. Mr. Walia and Bani have not spoken with each other. Bani is standing in a corner by herself.
Aditiya: Arre Bani! What are you doing here? (Before Bani can say anything) Anyways have you seen Jai? There some important people I want him to meet. Can you please find him for me?
Bani goes to look for Jai. She sees Jai sitting at the Bar she starts to walk towards him when she sees Roshni approach Jai and starts talking to him. Bani stops and turns back around. She can not bare to take anymore. She leaves the party and goes to her room, upstairs. Meanwhile Jai who is sitting at the bar
Roshni(sympathetically): Jai, you love these parties then why are sitting here alone, drinking?
Jai looks at Roshni but does not speak.
Roshni: (Looking at Jai) You know Jai I have known you since college, and now I can finally understand you, I can understand your silence. But she won't understand it Jai, and you shouldn't expect her to. I have never seen you like this before, you have to tell her how you feel.
Just then Jigs comes...
Jigs: Uff...aaj kal ki ladikiyan!
Roshni (laughing at Jigs complaining): Kya hua.
Jigs: There is such a big party going on, and both the host are missing, Jai bhaiya is sitting here and that Bani...pata nahi kaha gayi.
Jai, who is not drunk however has had a few drinks and so is not completly in his senses, gets up. At the mere mention of Bani's name, he is reminded of what happened at the office in the morning. He too leaves the party and goes to the room.
Bani is sitting on the dressing table removing her jewellery. When Jai enters, Bani looks at him but does not say anything.
Jai(a bit angry due to the drinks and what happened this morning): Why did you leave the party?
Bani(also not wanting to talk to Jai, because of the news in the paper and what she just saw): I wanted to be alone.
Jai: Alone!?(Jai laughs sarcastically) I am surprised you are not with that "best friend" of yours, that Sid...I could just ...
Bani(interuppting Jai): Mr. Walia it would best if you did not drag anyone else in this.
Jai: (goes close to Bani and tightly holds her from her shoulders, now really angry): Why? Tumhe bahut takleef hoti hai. I didn't think you were so cheap Bani. (Bani cannot understand what has suddenly come over Mr. Walia, she has never seen him like this before) Bani if you were so desperate to be with a man you should have told me, I would have fullfilled that wish of yours. Now Jai pushes Bani next to the wall and kisses her.
Bani pushes Jai away and slaps him. Jai is suddenly brought back to his senses, he realizes what he has just done and backs away. Bani falls to the ground and starts crying.
