Gasping for breath, Siddharth was made to sit in the open for a while, but when he still experienced great difficulty in breathing, medical aid was sought. The incident occurred at around 4 am, on the sets of the Zee daily Kasamh Se last week. Says Siddharth who still sounds terribly ill, "Suddenly, I realised I was having problems breathing. I could not breathe properly at all and felt extremely uncomfortable. I rushed out of the vanity van and sat in the open air." After a while, he resumed shooting, but at 6 am, his condition worsened. "The unit folks rushed me to a nearby hospital. I was gasping for breath. After a series of tests and some medication, I returned to the set at 8 am, for another shot. After resting in the vanity van for a while, I shot for a few scenes which were a priority, after which I went home." Extreme fatigue The actor has been advised complete bedrest for a week. "The doctor told me it happened due to extreme fatigue, as I had been shooting non-stop." Siddharth is presently seen in three Balaji shows and shoots around-the-clock. No regrets However, the incident has not proved a deterrent to Siddharth. "I chose this profession, so there are no regrets on what happened. I love acting so I will be back on the sets soon. Behind the glamour, there is also a lot of hard work involved." Recuperating at home, he says he is grateful to his show's creative head. "In a daily's shoot, it can get difficult in the absence of any actor, but they have been very cooperative with me." | |||
