Baniiii what happened he came front.
She controlled her emotions. "Nothing! I have still work so was thinking on it. What brought u to office? I never found u working on weekends". She asked casually.
"Well some pending work for tomorrow's meetings ..." he took his seat and started to work , after an hour he felt his stomach grumble loudly. She smiled
"Getting up from her chair she offered the biscuit packet. Here u need energy for work. I always have things spare." she stretched her limbs unmindful of his presence
He smiled taking one and looking at her tired face which spoke the truth that she never complained about the demands of her new work. He ordered pizza on phone.
It was two days later, the desk of Banu was decked up with balloons and ribbons, when he entered,
"What is this for?"
"Sir, its Banu mam's birthday" the decorator said
It's done for every employee, decking up his desk with balloons and ribbon and celebrating the birthday with cake cutting- a token of appreciation from company.
Jayesh smiled picking up his phone dialling her number "hello Banu, Happy birthday"
"Thanks for the wishes surya, how come u know"
"Well that is surprise" after some hours when she came to office she knew how he came to know. Her friends dropping in to wish her and asking for cake cutting, finally all assembled in the cafeteria with cake arranging the candles. Banu stood at the centre with the group surrounding the table. Her eyes were searching for him he wasn't there, indulged in some meeting...
They always waited for their manager to join and then started the celebration but today her manager was not just manager but CEO who didn't boss much...
Her eyes were still on door. "Come on Banu, we all have to go back to work, cut the cake. Mr. Jayesh won't be coming now. He is in meeting" She smiled faintly nodding and closed her eyes making a wish and blew the candles, all the candles were not blew and she put further efforts in blowing them off all were smiling singing birthday song when she cut the cake. He picked up the small piece and fed her .She was shocked to see him.
"Come on Bani, it's time for cake. Though I don't know its eggless or not "he said as she opened her mouth to be fed. Then what she didn't know was her face getting a free massage of cake cream by Jayesh. All the group were hooting, they took some pics.
This is how birthday is celebrated! They said while she was all pink and blue plastered on her face, the little rose flower was plucked from the cake and put on her forehead taking a pic.
The cake was cut into pieces and distributed while she went to freshen up. It was tiring to wash off the cake from face .
As she came, when did u come sir? She asked
Who is sir here? He said
"I mean surya... When did u come? I was waiting for u?" She said slowly.
"Oh were u, I am at right places at right time." he smirked, continued chatting with other staff .While she just looked at him from far dreamily only could he reciprocate to her feelings more than employee and friend.

It was Friday!
Friday being casual day, last working day of week for Banu it hardly mattered. She was dressed as usual in cotton flower printed yellow chudidar, settled in the office with her laptop. Today onwards, on doc's advice she stopped using lens but putting power glasses as U should not put 18-20 hours lens. Today, she was feeing low and moody.
Jayesh came in with his helmet in hand and twirling the keys in his right finger whistling, her attention turned to him
Hi Bani ! He greeted her casually, would call her bani or banu as per his mood..Her mood lifted with his voice, a smile crept on her face looking at him.
He looked smashing handsome hot in casuals, dressed in something quite different from all these days in the blue jeans, white half sleeved shirt. He was wet but not dripping wet. He put the helmet on the table and swayed his head from one end to other dropping water droplets from one end to other, some droplets fell on Banu's laptop and face. She wiped it with her hand. He looked at her .
"Opps!!! Sorry"
But banu was not in this world she was transformed to another land. He was so so tempting like the feast; if only they were lovers she would have by now rained him in kisses. She was dreaming.
Hello!!! Where are you lost! He came near her, moving his hand in front of her ."Back to earth lady" He settled casually on her desk with his one leg dangling around
Blush crept her cheeks, smiling shyly she said, "u look handsome and in good mood! What's up? She asked
"Ohh you do know to compliment people. I thought u only understood issues! Any ways thanks!" He stood up. She made a face.
"Hey u look different, i don't know something changed but i m not able to find out ..." he looked at her from top to bottom. She felt uncomfortable in his gaze.
"Oh yeah ur glasses, u look like an aunty, miss chasmiss. Though I don't remember u wearing one that time." he scratched his head. She felt bad.. very bad. For the compliment ..
He saw her face going down..I was just joking! You are looking good!
Though this compliment didn't bring smile on her face, She didn't say much, got indulged into phone call. He noticed her working moodily .He felt bad for hurting her, his joke was that poor to hurt her?
Bani, come let's go for coffee, he stood up from his desk locking his desktop, in fraction of second he was in front of her. She looked at him nodding no , she was still on phone taking update on an issue. He pressed speaker button on the phone,

He didn't hear a word, locking her laptop dragged her up. She was shocked by his behaviour but nevertheless stood up putting her heel sandals.
Good god, how do u girls manage the high pointed heels ,he asked looking at her sandals u don't even need them, u r long enough !
Oh Man! What's happening to him? Why is he going personal she thought if I was so proper and right then why did u reject me? She wanted to ask but refrained to.
I know but to match your height I do need to! She said standing upright reaching his shoulders.
They walked out of the Building, there were tea stalls in front of the office where fresh tea was made, there would be cigarettes, biscuits and snacks available, even omelette and maggi would be freshly made and supplied.
This was first time she was coming out for tea break outside building with him; she stood unsure looking here and there as he lit the cigarette and ordered two teas.
Will u drink tea from here? She asked
Yeah why what's wrong? He said exhaling the smoke. She coughed and stepped back. She remembered he lied on his smoking habit but what was the use to even pose a question now. She thought.
He just threw the cigarette on ground and rubbed it off with his shoe. The tea was made, as the vendor handed it he took both the disposable cups, handing one to her. Paying him back money they entered into the office campus.
She looked around. It been quite a while, she didn't roam here, there was this garden with roses blooming. She loved to take a round here on the pavement watching the freshly bloomed beautiful daisies and garden roses talking over phone to her friends and family. Some of the employees going here and there greeted her with a smile, she too smiled back.
U know lot of people.. good network ! He praised her..She smiled back sipping the tea.
She wanted to get into the garden to sit over there on the wet grass. It had drizzled some time ago and the air filled with fresh muddy fragrance. She loved that smell. Her concentration was not here. He looked at her constantly gauzing the flowers.
What's up? He shook her shoulder lightly. I wanna go there and sit she said dreamily, her eyes were something different he couldn't analyse.
Okay go ahead..
But the guard ... she looked back at the entrance...
He won't say anything. I m here!
She walked into the garden carefully taking out her sandals on the pavement. Putting her legs on the grass as delicately as she could she went near the daisy and rose plants. She sat over there inhaling the fragrance. She just sat there relaxing herself. Jayesh stared at her, she looked damm beautiful.. There was something happening in him. He didn't know what?
Would u mind taking a pic of mine? she asked innocently
He popped out his cell phone and clicked some pics.
How r they? She asked about the pics still lying on the grass lazy to walk upto him.
He took out his shoes and walked up to her to show the pics.

The magic of them was broken by someone calling her from far...
She shook her head from the trance.. Getting up from the grass,
"Let's go ... I have the call still waiting. She pulled herself and him up."They walked in silently to their desks.
It was time to wrap the work, he was in no mood to extend his working hours, his cell phone rang.
He picked up the call "Where r u? I m waiting for u in the mall for movie."
She looked at him as she could hear the voice of the female.
Yeah I m just coming, he said looking at Banu he asked,
Would u like to accompany us for a movie?
She was shocked. No she said taking little time
Come on its Friday and I m giving a treat, leave the work let's go!
She still nodded no. He came near her locked the lappy again, its ur boss order. She finally agreed to go. He sat on his bike, she looked at the cab waiting for her..
Hmm I would come there by cab .. you carry on bike..she said
Are u nuts! Just sit back he ordered.

She looked at him as she could hear the voice of the female.

She looked awkwardly not wanting people to talk ill about her but she had no way to deny him. What's happening she thought.
The moon was full, it was shinning bright. The white moon light spread the black sky beautifully. He started his bike and zoomed it, looking at her as if waiting for her to sit.
She sat at the back holding the side handle praying silently. She was scared of bikes and never learnt one. He zoomed it on high speed
Please go slow her voice cracked.
He slowed a bit and then increased it the next minute, scared she caught his shirt from back like a child, wrinkling the crease. He laughed loud slowing it at the signal

The wind was blowing and her hair came out covering her face, he looked at the mirror as she set her hair back. They reached the plaza in few minutes. He parked the vehicle and took hold of her hand. She was stunned by his touch but followed him.
What he was doing was casual like a friend but she... she was not... she never was... she had feelings for him, those feelings were subsided but never dead. It was because of those feelings that she was still working in the company.
There they went into the mall , taking the elevator to the top floor. His friends were there, all guys. She got scared with all new faces around then a girl came from behind wrapping her arms around him, he let go her hand to kiss her on cheek.
Jayesh introduced his friends to her and the girl as Meenakshi. Banu looked at the beautiful girl. Wasn't she the one in his orkut friendlist. Most of them she could identify now. Banu smiled softly greeting them as he introduced her. They entered to the hall, the film Avtaar started. She loved the movie in 3 d, everything looked so natural and beautiful, it was treat to watch. She was lost in the picture sharing the popcorn and coke with him.
The movie came to end; it was 1 Am too early to go back his friends commented. She wished she could open her mouth and say I want to go back home but she didn't.
Did u enjoy the movie? He asked looking at her.
Yes she nodded dumbly.
Let's go for the pub blue moon his friends suggested. He nodded. She was again pulled by him to the pub. It was first time for her to visit pub something that was forbidden for a good girl. She was not dressed appropriate to pub but who dared to stop her, she was with WADIA.
She entered timidly besides Jayesh, "come on Bani relax and enjoy" he said moving on to the bar for some drinks. He came back with some cocktail for her.
"Would u join the dance floor" he asked her she said "no"
He was about to pull her when meenakshi came front "come on surya ,lets have a dance."
She pulled him onto her. He was dancing like mad with her!
Suddenly Banu's senses started to work till now she felt it was dream but no it was realty... she looked at the big screen showing her picture. She was surprised.. What's going on? She thought
There beneath her pic was written the most beautiful girl..all clapped .
Then the camera was zoomed by the VJ to find the most handsome guy, the camera stopped at Jayesh. Everyone hooted, he waved his hands in air smiling greeting all..
The VJ then put the two pics near and said the best pair of the day! Banu was shocked.
It was the norm of the pub on weekend this was a sort of festival where a pair would be randomly selected and the pair would come on to the centre of dance floor to kiss each other and dance.
She didn't know any of these, he came in front of her, taking hold of her hand. She followed him in daze, on to the centre stage. The music floated in air.
It was soft romantic. He moved her in his arms their eyes were locked, their legs in perfect rhythm. He came forward bending lightly to kiss her on lips .Just a brush of his lips on her pink one.
The crowd hooted, the trance broken. She looked here and there. Taking into situation, she walked out abruptly from the pub. He followed her.
Banii stop where r u going?
It's too late! I need to be home. She said looking down on her feet
Oh god! What did I do! I am sorry Banu all that was just nothing, a spur of moment. He apologised sounding as normal as he could. She smiled tightly

Come I leave u back home. He said. She didn't have energy to confront him already she was in emotional turmoil. They walked to the parking lot silently. He started the bike, she sat carefully , he drove back it was in middle of the path when the sudden gush of air pulled her duppata in front covering him ,she tried to pull it back in force, when her balance left she put her hand around his waist. He felt strange, she already did. It was as if they were meant for each other, there were no words between them except her telling him the left and right direction for home. She was dropped home; he waited till she went into her room safely.
