Chapter 5
Jai and Tarun sat in a coffee shop talking about the man who stole from them. Mohan Gulati was going to pay his price for cheating. The man almost peed on his pants when Jai and Tarun cornered him.
"What about Randhir?' asked Tarun.
'He will pay for what he had done we will give him time.' Said Jai.
Tarun Sat back. 'Well Buddy what about his sister? Did she I mean did she come before you again?'
Jai shook his head. He did not want any discussion on the subject.
'That B…..d* doesn't deserve sister like her.' Said Tarun.
Jai kept quiet.
To their shock Bani stood before the table and looked at them.
'Well, what plan are you guys hatching? Another abduction?'
Tarun's face paled Jai did not look at her.
Bani did not expect to see them together. She had come for a coffee after an interview one of her friend asked her to attend. She did not have much hope but she went along as she did not want her friend to be disappointed. She had been talking a stroll in the mall she saw them. She thought against going to them but then thought what the heck..
Bani's attention turned to Jai who was looking elsewhere than her.
'Madam what in God's name are you saying?' she heard Tarun ask her.
Bani turned her face to him. 'this dialogue is too stale I have been through this with your friend.
Jai then looked at her. She met his intense gaze and said, 'yeah tell him you giant..'
'What is it you want Dixit?'
Bani smiled. 'Can I sit down?' she asked pulling a chair near them and taking a menu card in her hand.
Tarun did not know what to do he looked at Jai. Jai sat back in his chair calmly. She pulled the chair and sat on it calling a waiter and ordering her coffee and then returned her attention on the menu card. She read out the pastry and shook her head and said 'coffee will do'. The waiter took his leave and Bani turned her attention on her captors.
'So guys? What plan?'
'Dixit get the hell out of here okay.. We have nothing to say to you if possible consult a shrink about your problem.'
Oh he was mean thought Bani.
'What problem may I ask?' she looked squarely at him.
'Accusing people around as kidnappers.' Said Tarun.
'Oh that… you are kidnappers you did kidnap me did you not?'
"no and please leave.' Jai said in exasperation.
'I'll prove you guys are the one….'
'go ahead then.' He challenged.
'Alright then.. since you don't mind me accusing you off the things you have done saying you haven't done.' She pushed the chair back and stood up.
Tarun looked at Jai conveying many silent messages. Jai ignored him and stared at her.
She took her hand bag she had put on the ground and hung it on her shoulder.
She turned to them. 'so I shall continue with this right?'
Jai sat back and stared. She turned to Tarun. Tarun looked little ill at ease.
'I am actually bored of my life to tell you the truth now I have something to look forward to. A time pass. I think I'll go to the press you know evening paper who write all kinds of nonsense whether it's true or not….. I think I'll approach them. She looked around and saw the waiter come with her coffee. She took few notes from her purse and slapped it on the table and turned on her heels.
Tarun watched her leave and he turned to Jai. 'Now what?'
He shrugged his shoulders..
Jai couldn't sit for more than a minute he pushed the chair and left the way she went.
She was heading for readymade shop. He stopped her at the entrance. Bani looked at him astonished.
'Yes.'
'we need to talk….'
She nodded and stood facing him.
'Not here come along.'
She hesitated for a moment and nodded. she followed him as he took the elevator to the parking. Bani followed him. He opened the door for her and she got in beside him. She had no idea what was going to take place she put her in God's hands.
She got into the passenger seat and he opened the door and got behind the wheels.
He shut the door switched on the ac and turned to her.
'Have you any idea what you are doing now?'
'What? Going to the paper?'
'No getting into the car with a man?' he asked seriously.
She shook inside as his question sank into her. 'What?' she managed to ask.
'Look Dixit you are alone with a stranger you have no clue what's in my mind I can do unthinkable.'
Bani smiled. 'You are no stranger I am certain you are the one. You haven't done anything to me then you are going to do now. It's my instincts and if I am wrong I am not I am certain of it. I won't hesitate to kill to save me or die that much I am certain of it.' There was conviction in her voice.
'Okay brave little Bani what is it you want?'
What did she want thought Bani? What should she tell him that she had fallen for him and she was stalking him out of love? Yeesh! This was a tight spot.
He watched as her face grew pink.
'I am waiting…'
'I er.. I don't know.. may be time pass.'
'I am a busy man Dixit what about the threat you keep giving me?'
'What threat?' she asked.
'That I am the captor.'
'You are aren't you?'
Jai looked heavenwards. 'my dear girl stop harassing me go to your brother and stop bothering people you won't know when you get into trouble.'
'Trouble with you I don't mind.' She chuckled. 'Are you going to throw me out of the car now or you will drop me somewhere near a taxi stand?'
Jai gave up.
'where do you want to go?'

She hummed the song. Jai ignored her and turned the ignition key.
The drive was in silence. She asked him to stop near the taxi stand. She opened the door and got out and turned to looked at him.
'I may be out of my mind. The time I have spent with you guys in that lonely house were the best times I felt and enjoyed the caring. I fell for the man who chaperoned me leaving all the work in the world God only knows for what reason. At times I know I am not that insane to like someone who took care of me and did feel bad for hurting me in anyway. Is it really insane to like someone with god heart?'
Jai was silent. She moved back and shut the door.
Jai took a moment to start the car he heard her knock on the glass. He rolled the glass and she stuck her head, 'well giant should I go to the evening paper?'
He rolled back the glass Bani pulled her head before she got stuck between the glass.
With a chuckle she got into a taxi and headed for home.

'Is it really insane to like someone with good heart? Her words rang in his ears repeatedly. Jai got from his bed and walked to the balcony.
She was Randhir Dixit's sister. The man he hated before the word hate. Randhir Dixit Jai gritted his teeth.
Bani stopped bothering him. She had told him what was in her heart. She can't force him to like her. That was beyond her. But she couldn't get him out of her mind. He was her lovable giant.
They did not have common friends. There was no chance she could bump into his circle.
Rohit noticed Bani's sulkiness. He had to drag her out of the house at times to go with him.
To cheer her up Rohit took her to his company's annual meeting. Bani was ecstatic. She wore the best dress she could pick from the shop. Rohit repeatedly told her to keep away from his boss and not to embarrass him. She had nodded at everything.
As the time was near to attend the party her heart beat rose. She almost panicked as he came to pick her up.
'what's wrong with you asked Rohit.
'What's wrong with me?' she asked in return.
'you look kind of weird.
'I do? Oh my god you just wait let me go in and see..'
'No way Ban we are already late… and please this whatever your….. doesn't suit you are you okay..'
'I am fine I think something is wrong with your vision.'
'May be.. but he knew something was not right. She looked fine but she looked little nervous Bani never bother with her looks but here she sat with him and adjusted her hair looking at the mirror.
'Bani… sit properly… what's wrong?'
Bani did want to scream to him that she was in love but she knew that would freak him out and if she told him the man is Jai Walia she did not want to think. She sat straight looking calm when her heart hammered in her chest. This was the first time she was going to meet him after declaring her feelings for him. (She did tell him she was falling for him at his office she forgot about that in her hasty thinking.)
Rohit parked the car he had hired from his friend and walked to the party with Bani.

Jai and Tarun welcomed the guests. Tarun smile brightened as Laxmi walked in. Tarun left Jai and followed her. Roshni came with a friend and hugged him. Jai entangled her hand from his and plastered a smile. Roshni did not leave his side. She stuck to him to welcome guests.
Bani and Rohit walked in Bani's heart in her mouth. She looked up at the man who welcomed people warmly and her attention turned to the lady next to him who equally smiled at the guests. Bani's face clouded. Jai saw her with Rohit the boy smiled at him and acknowledged Roshini. Bani without much of an expression followed him in.
'what?' asked Rohit.
'what? What?' she snapped.
'To you what's wrong with you? You are kind of moody weird and, and I don't know ….' He looked at her with confusion.
'Have you been in love anytime idiot?'
'I don' t know..'
'Then you won't know, now be quiet and enjoy this stupid party.'
'Party is stupid now… you were ecstatic to come with me and well love what love? Have you fallen in love? And .. not to those faceless men right? You are over them I mean him or them I don't know Ban who is it this time?'
'What this time that time? What do you think about me? I am on love spree….' She fumed.
Rohit laughed okay. I am not asking you anything when you feel like tell me..'
'I'll think about…'
'yes, yes.. now come on and little smile will not hurt.' He snapped.
Bani plastered a smile for him and followed him.

Jai's gaze followed her. Bani followed Rohit like little puppy at times he saw them grumble at each other and times he saw Rohit reprimand her. He had no clue what was going on.
Tarun ran to Jai and showed him Bani. Jai shrugged off saying she had accompanied his staff. Tarun left and joined Laxmi.
Roshni did not leave Jai's side. She hung her hand around him telling him some jokes and laughing at her own jokes.
When Bani looked around she saw them together. It made her upset. He did not come near her to talk to her nor did she walk to him. She kept her distance. No more stalking thought Bani sadly. He was already hooked and booked.
The party went on in full swing. Jai expected her to walk up to him when she did not it disappointed him. Later he realized Roshini was the reason he couldn't keep the woman away from him.
Tarun located Jai later in the evening and sat with him looking around the hall. The party was in full swing and nobody had left the party.
'Buddy I can't take this torture anymore.'
'What torture?' asked Jai looking at his friend.
Bani got tired of Rohit's friends she went and sat in a corner sulking and thinking about Jai. She looked for him and he was nowhere around. She then heard slow whisper of two men. The same whispers she heard when she was abducted. She strained her ears and sat little near them where they did not notice her.
'Jai… Laxmi is leaving town. If I don't tell her my feelings now then I don't think I am going to ever she will marry someone and live happily ever after.'
'go tell her then.' Said Jai.
'it is not as easy as you say..'
'then what you intent to do? If you can't take any action forget her.'
'I can't buddy… what do I do?'
'where is she now?'
She is talking to Roshni…'
Bani looked around who is Roshni and who is Laxmi? Why doesn't she go and tell the woman someone is deep in love with her.
'Well Buddy I can't go tell her I wish someone tell her my feelings…'
Taking that as a cue, Bani got up from her seat and walked around the room to find Laxmi. She can't have her love someone should even if it was her captive. From the sound she knew this one was the other one. Any ways her one was hooked and booked by the gorgeous. She thought sadly. She craned her head to find Laxmi. How will she find out how?
She passed the gorgeous woman. Then she heard her address Laxmi. Bani turned immediately and looked at the other young woman. She then heard the gorgeous say,
'Laxmi so enjoy your new place and keep in touch. The other woman smiled. Bani stopped as Laxmi addressed the gorgeous as Roshni.
'thanks Roshni..' said Laxmi and moved ahead.
Bani caught her in time.
'excuse me.'
'Yes…' she turned and looked at Bani.
'You are Laxmi.'
"yes…
'can I have a word with you?'
Well, yes. Laxmi looked at Bani.
They walked to a table and Laxmi sat down.'
'Here? Can we move outside it's kind of private.'
Laxmi looked at her suspiciously.
'I know the feeling but it's important at least it will do someone some good.' She mumbled.\
'I have no idea what you are talking.'
'me too..' Bani muttered.
Laxmi stepped outside to the lawn.
'Tell me.' Laxmi was eager to know what this girl wanted to tell her. She had seen her in the party but had no clue may be some staff…
'Someone inside that hall is in deeply in love with you….'
"Who?' Laxmi almost choked.
'I don't know his name but his friend is Jai Walia…. I saw them talk about you that guy in there is very upset because you are leaving town.. you leaving town?'
'Oh yes..' she was still not over her shock and surprise.
'I presume he has no guts to tell you or he fears rejection.. if you have same feelings for him tell him if you don't have you haven't heard anything from me.'
Laxmi took a minute to react. She ran inside almost knocking Bani down. She mumbled sorry and ran as fast her feet could take her. Bani saw her leave with a smile on her face.
Laxmi ran inside looking for Tarun she screened the room and saw Jai and Tarun walk towards the lawn she ran and stood before Tarun. She looked into his eyes and asked, 'Is it true that you love me?'
Tarun and Jai both were stunned.
'Tell me is it true?'
Tarun Nodded. Laxmi threw her over him and hugged 'O Tarun why ever did you not tell me I thought you thought me as just a friend.'
'I do love you but how did you?' he couldn't believe what he was hearing.
'she was right. Oh I should thank her..' said Laxmi.
'whom?
'a girl she was here come …' Laxmi dragged him to the lawn to look for Bani. She was not there. Jai followed them.
'Where did she go?
'Who?' asked Jai.
'she was here Jai. She wore a magenta churidar and … there..' Laxmi pointed to a direction. 2 pairs of eyes followed her and looked at each other stunned.
'Bani..' they murmured.
'Do you know her?'
'No.' came the chorused reply.
Laxmi looked at them suspiciously. 'Come Tarun let us thank her.
Tarun looked at Jai pleadingly. Jai ignored him and watched him go with reluctance as Laxmi pulled him towards Bani.
'Hi there, said Laxmi to Bani and nodded at Rohit.
Bani looked at both of them. Laxmi looked radiant. Tarun did not know where to look. He was in total shock how did Bani know how?
Laxmi pulled her into a hug. Rohit looked curious.
'thank you … I'll never forget you came like a fairy God mother?'
Bani and fairy? Rohit wanted to laugh but he kept him from doing so.
Bani pulled her away and smiled at her. 'Its nothing.. '
'Actually Tarun should thank you..'
Bani looked at Tarun. Laxmi nudged Tarun.
'thanks … he did not know what to say. He then pulled her into a hug shocking Jai Bani and Rohit.
'Thanks Bani I have no idea how you did it but I'll be grateful always.' He murmured against her ears.
Jai watched them from safe distance. As Tarun and Laxmi left and Rohit from her side he took long strides and stood behind her startling her.
'You stalking us Dixit?' she heard his deep masculine voice.
'No, I stopped I don't want headache or heartache. I am done you are free.' She whispered without turning to look at him.
' I don't believe this then how did you know Tarun's feeling s for Laxmi?'
'I heard you guys accidentally. If you finished your interrogation I am leaving.'
She took a step forward.
'good luck then with your friend.'
'thank you… but do not expect me to wish you luck with her. I won't I am not all that big hearted you giant. Byee… hope we never cross our life's path with each other hope I never see your face and I hope she see a monster in you every time she looks at you.'
Rohit walked to her and saw his boss just behind her he wished him and nudged Bani.
'Bani my boss…'
"oh hello boss.' She turned her towards him.
'Rohit nudged her he did feel sarcasm dripping in her voice. what was wrong with her?
'Excuse us sir,' Rohit pulled her hand with him, "what in God's name is wrong with you? You are different today and top of it you.. you are fairy God mother Bani I don't believe it he chuckled.
Bani laughed along with him.
Jai heard them laugh and wondered what it could be.

Jai did miss her, however, he tried to stop thinking about her she popped up in his mind giving him hard time to concentrate. She completely stopped stalking him. He missed their fight he missed everything. He missed his friend; Tarun was on seventh heaven with Laxmi. He hung around her all the time.
It was two weeks later Tarun passed him an information about Bani.
'Hey dude did you here Anil Randheria is marrying Bani?'
'Anil Randheria? Is her brother out of his mind?' asked Jai.
'I thought so too… who will marry that ….' Tarun swallowed a bad word that came to his mouth. Doesn't the man know he is of lose character just the other day I heard a girl came and made a scene in his office.'
Jai was irritated all of a sudden. 'Let them all go to hell Tarun do you have anything else to say?' he did not want to hear another word.
'hey come on buddy. I feel for Bani she did help me in spite being you know..'
'I don't want to know what have you come here to tell me?'
'hey.. what's wrong with you cool off. Well the papers you wanted me to draft is left in the office ask someone to pick it up.'
'yes I will do that. And what's the plan with you and Laxmi?'
'we are working on it. She has to move at least for few months. Okay then I'll catch you later has a date with her bye.'

Tarun left him with his thoughts. Jai was suddenly irritated. The news has made him very upset. Why Anil of all people? What was she thinking when she said yes?

Bua!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bani screamed on top of her voice. 'I had enough I'll not marry that man period. Bhai can go to hell with him.'
'Shhh Bani. Calm down I'll talk ot him.'
'No need.. why does he hate me so much first he wanted to discredit me now he is marrying me off to a womanizer? Is he sick Randhir Dixit?' tears sprang from her eyes as she shouted on top of her voice.
'Come on child I'll talk to him.'
No need I can speak for myself.'
'No leave it to me I'll talk.' The lady walked out of her room to meet her nephew. Bani followed her after a moment. She heard their argument.
Anil was a good man because he is rich people talk about him ill was all Randhir said. All the allegations were false. He knows Anil better than anyone all he said. Bani moved away from the door. She picked her purse and walked out of the house. She will plan her escape from the villain she will, this was her life and she will not leave it for him to decide. She walked aimlessly on the street. When she got tired she walked into the first mall she set her eyes. She sat down in a coffee shop and ordered a coffee for her. She will call Rohit and tell him she wanted to go somewhere far. She will ask him to get her a ticket. She was lost in thoughts. The coffee arrived and she took the mug to sip she spotted him. Why him of all people she thought and removed her gaze. She heard his sound with the sound of a female and she knew immediately that was Roshni ma'am. Bani did not lift her head from the mug. She sipped her coffee and pretended to read the menu.
