Jai gave bani a lovelorn look, thanks to her he has been enjoying his stay here, just because she made tarun promise that he would let him stay…He was surprised at how easily he was attracted to bani, not just physically but mentally too, maybe emotionally to some extent, he had never in his rendezvous with so many women met someone even closer to her, she was simply brilliant and mind-blowing, be it her looks, her intelligence or her child like enthusiasm, though a decade or more younger than him.He knew that her inexhaustible innocence will keep touching and enchanting him until the end of his life…

"I can't believe these Nobel Prize Committee has given Obama a peace prize…" jai exclaimed…

"Well, I don't see any harm…" bani commented back…

"Oh Please hat has he done…"

"He might not have done anything but he will manage to do…"

"Now that's being hopeful…"

"In today's time we can't do anything but be hopeful of a better tomorrow. The times of Mother Teresa are gone…my dear friend…"

"But what has Obama achieved now…I would have held him in regard if he would have denounced the prize…"

"It's easy to reject anything, to escape, but equally difficult to accept and stand up taking the onus…I think he should be applauded for his grit and courage to take up the responsibly in today's times…"

"Well, maybe…" jai said almost convinced…

"If we are done arguing over this chaste topic can we talk something else…?"

"What??"

"I am feeling stuffy…"

"Let's take a walk in the garden…"

"How about the terrace…"

The moon shimmered in the dark night…the stars glittered…

"I like moonlit nights… they have a charm…" bani said dreamily…

"Do you believe in love…?" she asked suddenly…

"I didn't till now…" he whispered inaudibly…

"Romeo Juliet, Antony Cleopatra, Othello Desdemona… all tragic love stories…don't you think they have a charm…"

"Why so??What charm does tragedy have…" jai said frowning…

"I mean if you get what you desire then the charm is lost…the beauty lies in the yearning…to have yet not have…"

"But I would certainly like to have my lover forever with me…" bai laughed…

"So you have a lover…"

"I said if I have one…"

"What about all those innocent maidens you have seduced and dumped…" bani said…

"They were not so innocents to be seduced, women aren't as coy as they project themselves to be…" jai said brashly…

"Point taken…" bani said moving ahead…he held her hand…pulling her to himself, pressing over the wall…

"What are you doing…??" bani could barely whisper…drowning in those intense steel grey eyes…

"I am yet to do anything Miss. Dixit…"he held her waist in a firm grip, his fingers travelling inside her shirt, tickling the skin…she closed her eyes…jai bent his head, taking her lips…

"Was that your first kiss…?" jai said pulling apart, looking down at bani's flushed face, who clearly looked embarrassed turning scarlet…she bit her lower lip, nodding in affirmative…

"Hmm…now that you are with me, I might just tutor you…because…" he leaned forward, his hot breath fanning her face, his musky male scent played havoc with her already numb senses…

"Because…I don't settle for anything less than the best…" he stretched the words nipping her earlobe… she took in a sharp breath, holding her wits…she pushed him away slightly…

"I just kissed you…I am yet to accept your undying interest in me…" she said mischievously…

"Really now…" his eyes danced…tilting his head, leaning closer… his hand lazily moved to her back…caressing the soft nape of her neck oh so gently like a feather brush that she felt as if she was flying…

"I like taking chances…" he bent his head, his moist lips waffling over her plum, plush lips, slightly parted invitingly…

She said nothing, her lovely mouth otherwise engaged as he kissed her again and she kissed him back…

"This is getting better Miss. Dixit…you are a fast learner…" he whispered against her open mouth, cupping her face closer, she pulled his head down digging her fingers in his thick hair…she moaned as his body pressed against hers…

They lay in each other's arms under the sparkling sky…their rapid breathing echoing in the thin air…

"Bani…ever since I first looked upon your wonderful and incomparable beauty, I have dared to love you wildly, passionately, devotedly, hopelessly…"he whispered hoarsely…

"I accept wildly, passionately, devotedly, but hopelessly doesn't seem to make much sense, does it?" she said flakily…his body shook while laughing…

"You are something bani… "he chuckled…

"I know that…" bani said getting up, sitting beside him pulling her legs to herself…

"You know, when first bhaiyya told me about you, I was so curious, bad boys are too damn attractive, the forbidden fruit effect and then I fell in love with your name…it is so rare and wonderful…" bani said excitedly, jai's face formed a scowl…

"You mean to say that if I were not Adway you wouldn't have loved me…"

"But you are Adway…"

"Suppose I had a different name…like Jai…"

"Jai is okay but Adway is superior…it's just that there is something inspiring in Adway…"

"What's in a name said Shakespeare…can we leave the name and do something better…" jai pulled her down; she fell over his chest…lifting her chin up, he kissed her again…

All the words in the text book did rumba, samba, and every other dance possible, she couldn't concentrate on one single thing that meera so proficiently was teaching her…all she could moon about was adway's (jia's) smoldering lips teasing hers, their tongues dueling, their hands engaged in a coltish combat, the sounds of their amorous kisses reverberating in the silent night…it had been so intense, full of passion, it was a wild moment…a red bloom adorned her cheeks as she saw him sitting at a distance working on his laptop, his face set in concentration…

"Bani…" meera called out to her…

"Maam…have you even been kissed…" bani asked out of the blue, she regretted her question the very next second…

"Well…I…err…" meera fumbled…she looked clearly uncomfortable; doctor daksh had boldly kissed her yesterday during their long walk… bani observed her state…

"Don't tell me doctor uncle has kissed you?" bani said guessing it right…

"You can take a break dear…you are not concentrating either…" meera discharged her…bani giggled getting up…

Jai was busy on the phone, as something urgent had come up, he walked upto the terrace as the signal was weak…tarun had gone out not able to bear jai in his house moving around like he owned it himself, he hated to see the close proximity between him and bani…

"Beta, some Miss. Makhija has arrived…" raghu kaka said…bani thought for a while…

"Haan…" bani said…walking up to to the living area…

"Miss. Makhija! I suppose one of the many good women who are associated in some of his philanthropic work…"

"Let me introduce myself to you. My name is Bani Dixit…" bani said…fairly liking the sweet girl standing before her, though much elder to her she was nonetheless very soft and gentle…

"Bani? What a very sweet name! Something tells me that we are going to be great friends. My first impressions of people are never wrong…" Lakshmi said poised…

"How nice of you…please take a seat…"

"I may call you Bani, may I not?"

"With pleasure!"

"And you will always call me Lakshmi, won't you?"

"If you wish"

"Then that is all quite settled, is it not?"

"I hope so"

"My father is late Mr. Makhija. You have never heard of papa, I suppose?"

"I don't think so."

"Let it be dear… You are here on a short visit, I suppose."

"Oh no! I live here."

"Really? Your mother, no doubt, or some female relative of advanced years, resides here also?"

"Oh no! I have no mother, nor, in fact, any relations."

"I am sorry…"

"My dear guardian, with the assistance of my teacher Miss Khnadelwal, has the arduous task of looking after me…after my grandfather's timely death…"

"Your guardian?"

"I am Tarun Dixit's ward…"

"Tarun Dixit…I thought it was Adway Sablok's house…"

"No, no Mr. Sablok is Tarun's best friend…"

"How on earth is that possible…adway never mentioned?"

"I beg your pardon…"

"If this is Tarun Dixit's house, then who is Adway Sablok…"

"I told you, my tarun bhaiyya's best friend…"

"Oh! I just understood, Adway's best friend is tarun whose ward you are…right…"

"Ya…" bani said a bit muddled…

"Can I please meet Adway…?"

"Sure, I will get him right now…" bani said getting up…

"Meanwhile be comfortable, and would you like tea or coffee…just excuse my forgetfulness…"

"Tea would be fine…"

"Good…"

While climbing the stairs bani looked at Lakshmi, she was pretty and much elder than her, more suited…why did she come all the way here in search of Adway…was she his old flame who wants him back…anger raged inside her, that means Adway was seeing this girl at the same time double-crossing her… bani huffed, he is dead meat…bani ran up the stairs…

"You jerk…bas***d!!!!" bani hurled curses at jai who was terrified seeing bani shout and pounce on him like a raged tigress…

"Bani what are you doing…??" jai tried to hold her as she hit his chest with her small fists…

"You cheat…you double-crossed me…I will never forgive you damnit…you will rot in hell…" bani kicked his leg…

"Ahh!! Bani it hurts…bani stop it…" but bani was possessed…frustrated jai gripped her shoulders tightly, lifting her; he silenced her by forcefully kissing her…bani wriggled in his iron grip…

"I hate you…" bani screamed as he released her…

"What the hell ahs happened…?"

"You are asking me…your girlfriend is sitting downstairs…saying Adway Adway…" bani pushed him away…

"I have no girlfriend…"

"That means I am lying…"

"No baby, you might have had a misconception…" jai said trying to make her understand…

"Come down…come and see for yourself…" bani stomped her foot and walked away…

Jai cautiously descended the steps…just then Tarun entered the house, the ladies stood in the hall…

"Here is Mr. Adway Sablok…" bani grunted…as she sensed jai coming behind her…

"Yes of course…" lakshmi leapt seeing tarun, she went and hugged him, bani gaped…jai heaved a sigh of relief seeing Lakshmi…

"He is Tarun Bhaiyya no Adway Sablok…adway is this jerk…" bani punched jai… lakshmi turned around to see jai…

Both the men looked mortified…

"What is happening here… why does bani call you Tarun Bhaiyya and jai when did you become Adway Sablok…"Lakshmi said with her hands on her hips…

"Jai…Are you Jai…?" bani looked at jai with blazing eyes…jai simply nodded his head…

"Jai Walia…"

"And you are Tarun Dixit…"Lakshmi raised her eyebrows…

"I am afraid I can't deny that…"

"A gross deception has been practiced on both of us…" bani cried out…

"There is something we are missing…"

"Lakshmi, bani, it is very painful for me to be forced to speak the truth. It is the first time in my life that I have ever been reduced to such a painful position, and I am really quite inexperienced in doing anything of the kind. However, I will tell you quite frankly that I have no best friend at all."

"It is not a very pleasant position for a young girl suddenly to find herself in. Is it?" bani said, patting lakshmi's hand…

"Let us go. They will hardly venture to come after us there." Lakshmi got up…

"No, men are so cowardly, aren't they?" bani and lakshmi left with scornful looks…

"I must say that your taking in a sweet, simple, innocent girl like that is quite inexcusable. To say nothing of the fact that she is my ward." Tarun accused jai…forgetting about the upset ladies for a while…

"I can see no possible defense at all for your deceiving a brilliant, clever, thoroughly experienced young lady like Lakshmi. To say nothing of the fact that she is my cousin…" jai accused him back…

"I wanted to be married to Lakshmi that is all. I love her, unlike you who are just whiling your time away for amusement…"

"Well, I am serious for the first and last time in my life. I simply want to marry bani before you tie her down to a numskull like yourself. I soulfully adore her."

"There is certainly no chance of you marrying bani…"

"I don't think there is much likelihood, Tarun, of you and lakshmi being united either…"

"Well, that is no business of yours."

"If it was my business, I wouldn't talk about it" feeling hungry he picked up an apple…

"How can you sit there, calmly eating apple when we are in this horrible trouble, I can't make out. You seem to me to be perfectly heartless…"

"Well, I can't eat apple in an agitated manner…it might just harm my gums…"

"I say it's perfectly heartless your eating apple at all, under the circumstances."

"When I am in trouble, eating is the only thing that consoles me. Indeed, when I am in really great trouble, as anyone who knows me intimately will tell you, I refuse everything except food and drink. At the present moment I am eating apple because I am unhappy. Besides, I am particularly fond of apples…though an apple pie would have been better…"

"JAI!!!I have already told you to go. I don't want you here. Why don't you go!"

"I haven't quite finished my apple yet! And there are still many to go…" jai said unperturbed…tarun sank in the sofa, helpless…while jai continued eating…

Wow Jai is awesome! loved his answers. apple pie would have been better, so true. Now me is just waiting for Mrs Makhija to show up and more drama to unfold. Im Lovin' it.
