"bani this aira ghaira is now ur fianc .understood ?" his eyes glowed with certain warning

Bani bit her lips regretting her choice of words. She took the cell phone but had decided to throw it in dustbin soon or pass it to her servant...

Now bani as she thought , handed the cell phone to her servant maid who was extremely happy like a jumping jack for the costly gift ..

The next day , morning 8 , jai sent" a good morning " message , the cell beeped once. But it was not with bani…

In the afternoon, jai called up, this time the maid had come to do house chores in bani's house . The phone rang audibly, the maid didn't pickup the phone, not understanding the instructions on new devicethe phone rang few times and then cut ..the sound reaching dadi's ears ,

"arey wahh naya cell phone " dadi took the piece of instrument, calling kiran to show her as well .. both praising it the instrument not knowing that it was gifted by their daughter

"haan memsahib , baby ne diya tha kal engagement ki khushi main " she exclaimed in super happy mode ,

"kya?" the horrified look on the elders was a must watch one..

"haan " now remembering her foolish act of spilling the truth ..

Bani was instantly called, the cell was seized by dadi . bani got a big round of lecture from maa and dadi

"how reckless she is becoming? Her actions speak how disrespecting she is towards her

inlaws? Bla bla.."

bani stood head bowed hearing their lecture .

Bani was silent seething with anger inwards, passed an angry look towards the maid as she had warned beforehand not to showoff the instrument and definitely not to bring to their home.. but alas… while the servant maid was given some money as compensation so that she didn't feel bad …

Bani , totally angry now, walked to the hall room , settling on the divan , She switched on the television , there came Jai Walia clipping with the news about his new ventures in retail and his upcoming natural gas procuring project in southern India ….

Bani's temper rose to 100degcelsius. As she searched for the remote .and switched off the television muttering curses..

" why is it that everything going against me? Jahan bhi dekhte hoon yahin dekhta hain .. urggg .. Pata nahin kab iss walia se pala padha tab se sab galath hi horaha hain … iske toh … arghhh "

In the evening, jai tried her cell phone but was not picked by anyone. As it was secured in the Dadi's cupboard in the bedroom ..

Jai tried again at night.. his patience was going down .. he had expected that she might not pick his calls but how could she keep away from 50^th call tending to be missed call. How??

Jai wanted to call residence number but then that wont look appropriate at night .. Now only way was to either go to her home or ring on her old cell phone number which he didn't know.

" Bani how can I contact u ? dam it ??" jai cursed umpteenth time..

This was for three days in row. on third day an idea struck jai , seeing anu at home. He called her offering chocolates. "Anu do u like your new mami ? "

"hmm no actually I didn't get a chance to talk to her much ..she was busy "anu confided

"She is angry with u ..na"anu enquired

Jai wondered how the little one noticed it .. "arey nahin it was just .. " he didn't know how to complete the sentence

"achha, want to talk to her now"

The prospect of talking to a new member didn't go nice with Anu but then she got excited about her new mami so agreed little later with Barbie as gift …

"Bani tereliye main kya kya kar raha hoon ?" he grunted inside

The phone number dialed and landline receiver lifted by kiran .. anu talked for few minutes enthusiastically enquiring about bani slowly.. so bani was called .

"hello mami ? "

"mami?who mami ?" bani enquired looking at kiran's face who must have called? how she suddenly became mami???

"main anu,bali, jai mamaji bhanji "anu explained taking clues from jai 's mouth .

"ohh .haan bolo anu "bani talked disinterested but then the voce changed as Jai grabbed the phone to talk

"y didn't u pick my call bani?" his male high pitched authorative voice rang in her ears. Bani was stunned for few seconds ..her hands sweated. hold on the phone going weak

Again the question was posed by Jai this time softly yet stern …

Bani fumbled for reply for few seconds then

" your cell phone is with Dadi "

"what ? with dadi ?what is she doing with it?"

"she has safe kept it in her almirah" bani looked at her mother going inside the room giving her privacy .

"haan , all costly things are safeguarded by her in my home." Saying so she cut the call.

Jai fumed in anger..Now how was he going to get the cell back from dadi's hands ..?? as he thought .he soon realized his aim was to win bani's heart and not the cell phone and he had angered her once again .what to do to please her? Pacify her? Jai was thinking like hell as no idea struck…

Next day , morning 10 am . a flower bouquet arrived . Bnai was surprised to receive it.

Kisne bheja hoga?she pondered looking at the beautiful yellow marigold and white daisies flowers bouquet .

She looked at the card hanging " to soon to be bani walia from jai walia "

Dadi came in the room to see the bouquet ."kiska ne beja" she asked suspiciously.

Jai walia came the reply .

Ohh achha damaadji ne . dekho kitna aache aadmi hain tumhara liye fool ke ghuldaste beja .tumhara dadaji the kabhi ek phool bhi nahin layeeeeee.. she went to flash back mode.

Bani shook her head in exasperation. Left the place and the bouquet on the side table.

jai expected a thanku call from her but no..

jai didn't call except sending a message on that cell phone . Bani was now in her room so heard the message ring .she willed not to touch his cell..

In the evening, Massi talked to jai about marriage dates to be fixed. they need to go to Dixit residence.

Jai was like voh tho mujse baat karna bhi nahin chahthi , baat tho chodo message reply ..abhi shaadi will distance her more from me. he thought for a way to postpone the marriage .

Next day as massi said, they went to Dixit residence .jai also followed reluctantly.

In the dixit house, they were welcomed grandly. Bani was once again dressed up in a saree.she was getting irritated with sari thing .moreover about shaadi muhurat …

Bani stood aside with the wall as support then anu came running to her ,

"mami come sit with with me"

Bani followed her as she caught her arm and dragged towards jai . Bani ,anu jai on the couch in this sequence.

The pandit announced three possible dates one was just 15days and other was after 60days then another was 90days later .choose the one which would be suitable for them .

Bani looked at panditji sitting opposite to him.she made some signs,infact she showed some money to him .Pandit was looking at her then at jai who knew what was being done by her .

The pandit asked for water. Bani got up from her seat and served him a glass of water whispering

"date postpone kiya tho ek hazzar (1000rs)doongi"

Pandit was taken aback .both dulha and dulhan wanting same thing postponement of marriage.morning jai had called to postpone the marriage to three months

In dono ka shaadi hoga kya?? He thought

The family came to consensus for 60days one but jai said he has project work so that was not possible. It postponed to 90days. Bani smirked winningly

Threemonths is long way jai walia .i will make sure this marriage wont happen thought bani .

Three months is long way bani dixit .i will make sure this marriage happen winning your heart .thought jai

The family members were sad about the delay in marriage but then it was okay when neither dulha or dulahn had probs..
