Pia and Rano insisted on staying in one room?.and Bani had a room to herself. She wanted to share the room with her younger sisters but the room and the bed was not big enough for all three of them to share..

After a while Tony bought dinner to their rooms reminding them that breakfast is at 8.30 in the mornings and everybody is expected downstairs on time....

Chapter 3:

Waking up early the next day, Bani got ready..

Pia ..Rano ..get up.. yaad hai na breakfast ke liye 8.30 baje nicche jaana hai.. jaldi karo.. gharwalo koi shikayat ka mauka nahi dena hai hume.... chalo utho jaldi se..

So saying Bani helped the girls pull their clothes out of their suitcases

The three of them went downstairs and Masi then introduced them to all the other family members that were sitting at the table..

Jigyasa, Mr. Walia's sister, who was not too thrilled seeing the three young girls, Aditya Bali, Jigyasa's husband, Anu, their 17 year old daughter, Ranveer, their 20 year old son, Pushkar Shukla, 24, Uday Walia's business partners son, who the Walia's had adopted upon the death of his parents in an accident and of course Masi and Mr. Walia….

Aditya welcomed them with a wide grin and insisted that they call him Adi Uncle….while Anu was thrilled that she had someone her age that she could interact with…. Ranveer, quietly looked on with concealed interest in the girls…while Pushkar openly admired the girls…..

All of this did not go unnoticed by Jai or by Jigyasa… she was upset and annoyed at Jai..thinking…

uufff… yeh kya kar diya Jai Bhaiya ne …itna bhi dhyan me nahi rakha…ki we have young boys in the house, now these young girls here …kya raas lila dikhana chahate hai hume??

Ab to mujhe hee kuch karna padega.. in ladkiyo par nazaar rakhni padegi…Jai bhaiya bhi na…. kabhi bhi kisi ko kisi cheez ke liye mana nahi kar sakte… ab hum sub ko bhugatna padega.. don't want anything happening here now..do we..

Come …Bani…Pia…Rano.. come sit and have your breakfast……said Masi..

When chatting with Bani at breakfast, Aditya finds out that she was a management trainee at the Heritage Luxury Resort in Mt. Abu and since they were going to live in Mumbai, she was going to start looking for a job here. The sooner she got a job the better it would be for her sisters and herself.. ..

Jai, kyu na hum Bani ko Walia Group ke management trainee program mei jage de de.... we are always looking for good candidates any way and she is looking for a job too… ….but of course .. after going through a proper interview process…

Hmm!!! That sounds good but remember that she will have to go through the normal interview process… no slacking there Aditya.. and only after making sure of her abilities and her qualifications will we hire her.. replied Jai a little abruptly.

He did not want to make it easy for Bani to just breeze in and get the job….

He sounds annoyed thought Bani….

Pushkar, once you reach the office, set up an interview for her ..

Jai noticed the annoyed look on Bani's face…but before leaving he told Bani in no uncertain terms that she should make herself available to attend the interview … that he will be expecting her to show up for her appointment ….knowing that she may want to defy him and not like to appear for it ..

But since he was the guardian at this point she has no choice but to abide by him, thought Bani.

Bani was annoyed at Jai's tone …but did not want to sound ungrateful so just kept her head down replied

I will come Mr. Walia.. Thank you…

Soon Jai, Aditya and Pushkar get leave for work…

She did not want to feel further obligated to Mr. Walia but at this point she did not have a choice, did she? The more she tried to not depend on him for anything…the more it seemed that fate was pushing her towards him…

But then again, Kahi na kahi to naukri dhoodni hi hai ...so why not here.. thought Bani reluctantly…Aur kuch nahi to Mumbai mei interview ka experience to mil jayega.. even if not the job itself…….

Later in the morning Pushkar called Bani …Bani interview has been set up at two in the afternoon today.. make sure you come on time… bilkul late nahi karna…or else be ready to face the wrath of Jai Sir.. Unko late-latif's bilkul pasand nahi.... wait at the front desk and mei aake tumhe le jaoonga..upar..

Bani was little annoyed at how everyone was a little afraid of Mr. Walia.. and muttered to herself ..I don't know what I am getting myself into…kya mujhe bhi sab ki tarha Mr. Walia ki baate manni padegi… unse darna padega.. Will I also be asking "how high" when he says "jump"… arrgh!!

She reluctantly dressed in a beautiful lavender Churidhar-Kurta for her interview…she was not sure whether she just wanted to fail the interview or do so well in it that it would show Mr. Walia that he was not doing her any favors by employing her instead she would be the one who would be an asset to his company.…

Upon reaching the front desk, she introduced herself and sat down waiting for Pushkar to come down and take her to the executive floor for an interview….

Walking by Mr. Walia's cabin, she noticed the door ajar.. and him talking in quite a stern and loud voice… This numbers don't add up to what was in the initial project budget… ye kya hai.. kya aap ek bhi kaam thik se nahi kar sakte…

Bani's head shot up and she looked at Pushkar who assured her that … if people show their incompetence…of course..yehi to hoga na……

They walked towards the conference room for the interview… She saw Aditya uncle sitting at the conference table and gave him a nervous smile..

Arre aao.. aao…Bani let me introduce you to everybody here.. this here is Ms. Fernando, the HR representative, Mr. Goel, the General Manager, Mr. Puri, the Restaurant manager, you already know Pushkar who is the manager in charge of the management training program here...

Seeing Aditya uncle, all thoughts of doing badly on the interview flew right out of Bani's head.. She knew in her heart that she could not disappoint him… he was the only one besides Masi who seemed remotely interested and concerned about their well being.

Bani had the necessary qualification, having passed the hotel management course and having been working as a trainee with the resort in Mt. Abu, so at this point being rejected was not an option at all …especially with Aditya uncle pushing for her appointment.. she could not disappoint him… now could she…

Bani was then taken for her second interview with none other her nemesis, Jai Walia.

Jai looked up to see Aditya bring Bani in to his office. Handing Jai Bani's folder with her credentials, he left the office.

Please Bani have a seat..

Thank you Sir..

Taking his time going through her certificates, credentials, resume and shooting questions at her… Jai grudgingly admitted to himself that she was indeed a qualified candidate..

Bani was able to answer his questions, hiding her nervousness quite well….

Speaking into the intercom, Jai asked Pushkar to come into his office..

Pushkar, please take Bani to Ms. Fernando's office for completing the formalities.. Bani you know that now you will be reporting to Pushkar…

As soon as they walked out of Jai's office, Pushkar gave Bani a high-five….congratulating her and welcoming her into the company….teasing her that now she would have to work really hard….

Mai hu na tumhara boss, Pushkar will make sure that tum teek kaam karte ho ya nahi…ek dum kadi nazar rakunga tum par….

And so Bani was hired, now she felt that she was further bound to Jai…much to her annoyance…
