I said guilt because he should feel that way since he got engaged to Netra in front of Tanuja despite Tanuja begging him not to get engaged just for a silly reason that Tanuja did not say 'I Love you'. Why he has to get engaged to other girls to make Tanuja confess? He did it three times now and he should feel guilty about it and redeem himself. Plus he told her that he is leaving her at the train station.
