Normally I write positive posts.. but feeling like this track is loosing its steam from some episodes.. The Show started looking promising.. I would love to see Karn Uruvi's love story growing with ups and downs.. but her love need not be a sympathy for Karn.. She can fall in love with Arrogant , fiery Karna too who is not a watchman in hastinapur..😆.. He is a king himself.. Uruvi can get impressed with his way of ruling.. his justice to ordinary people.. there could be some scenes with his own family.. where there is no Adirath giving lecture to his son but small moments of love which his family shields Karna with.. His normal self.. yes his angst..
I really hope actor improves himself too.. Some scenes he does good.. but majorly he is not looking that invested in the show...

PLEASE go back to the GEM😭

Riti 🤗

I started liking Aashim inspite of being Aham fan... Aashim's voice modulation is good... He looks good in short stubble... But these watchdog type scenes shown repeatedly and his wardrobe is getting me bored...with a background of unending bhaashans..

I was looking forward to some Karn - shone scenes...but none came around till now except that introduction scene

I am personally loving the show and Aashim as Karna
Why I think makers are showing how Karna gets humiliated every now and then coz the crux of the show itself is how a princess broke the barriers of caste ,creed And social status and chose Karna and became his Sangini

For that to happen it is important for Urvi to witness how Karna has been deprived of his rights , how he has been humiliated throughout his life despite being the best

Adhirat made him bow down and Karna obeyed his father...this made Urvi not only notice how Karna once again was humiliated coz he is a SutPutra but at the same time she also must have noticed that Karna is an obedient son who could bow down in front of his enemy for his father's sake

These incidents will make Urvi see Karna in a better light...understand him and his circumstances and love him for the man he is...She is getting to know about his good side as well as bad and even his perspective for siding with the supposed wrong side which is quite valid from his pov

Since the crux of the story is a princess choosing a SutPutra by breaking the barriers of caste and creed hence focus will definitely be on that aspect hence it is important for makers to show what all Karna went through simply coz he was a Charioteer's son

Yes I would love to see more of Karna's bonding with Shon...scnees with his mom and dad so that Urvi can also see how Karna is as a brother and son as well.

Apart from that I think story is progressing at a decent pace

I think the main reason of Adhirath standing in path of Karna and forcing him to go back to his old status of Sutaputra is a natural fear of a common man towards an unknown change. Adhirath and his ancesters have been serving the royalty of Hastinapur and never ever thought to cross them, and hence very naturally he cannot cope up with his son's ambitions. Also he believes from his heart that they are sutas, and indeed inferior from the royal people, and no matter how much eligible karna is, he has to bow down in front of them. This is the first resistence Karna would get from his family, and I expected to see him handling this situation in a pretty smart way, not like a poor helpless bechara son. At least an argument with father where he will prove his father is thinking wrong. The dialogues are pretty good in the show, they will do a good job.
Basically I am sick of seeing Karna as a helpless weeping soul everywhere. I mean, he spent his almost whole life fighting and burning, but he had dealt them with supremacy, not with tears. Karna was honest, loyal, dignified, and at the same time arrogant and ambitious. I want to see him in a way more sassy who looks like a real king standing high overruling the useless norms and prejudices of the society.

My dearest Debastuti! 🤗

It is wonderful to see you here, kid!

But I don't agree with the latter part of your post, for I don't see this Karna's obedience to his father, which was standard for those times, as helplessness. In fact it seems to me to be the opposite. He does not feel demeaned by anything his father wants him to do, as he is self-confident enough to carry it off.

He would never argue with his father before outsiders, for that would demean Adhiratha before them. In private would be a different matter, and Karna has always been shown arguing with his foster father in private, inclduing as a teenager when he quits home to go and look for a guru. He defies his father then.

My dear Riti,

I agree with you 111%.

I don't think any show on the Mahabharata ever showed Karna as a ruler, at least so far as I am aware, but surely they did not need to make him a sarathi, with Arjun indulging in endless snide remarks at his expense, for a whole week?

Already, Bhanumati's Grand Sacrifice was one in the eye for those waiting to see how Duryodhana would strive to win her heart. Now we have Karna expanding his night duties as the Hastinapur watchman (very neat crack, that!👏) to include day duty as Kunti's sarathi.

But why do Arjun and Uruvi have to borrow Kunti's chariot? Doesn't Arjun have one of his own, the one in which he came to rescue Uruvi? If Kunti had known about Karna's new role, she would have never lent Arjun her rath, so as to avoid the inevitable squabbles between her two sons.

It is another matter that Arjun's cracks at Karna's expense are going to backfire royally, and draw Uruvi that much closer to Karna. Besides the fact that as their sarathi, he will get to spend more time with Uruvi.

These days, the one I like the best in this show is Bhanumati. She is not only very goodlooking, but she also has control and class in every aspect of her demeanour - whether she is calming Arjun and Uruvi down or explaining her actions to Duryodhana - and a mind that is capable of weighing her options practically and settling for the best available under the prevailing paristhithiyaan.

Not like Ms. Leap Before You Look Uruvi, who rushes in where angels fear to tread and closes other folks' options for them.

As for the gemstone, I would not be surprised if the CVs have forgotten all about it, 😲 but by all means let us hope for the best!

>> Aunty!!😃 So glad to see and talk to you after such a long time 🤗

>> Yeah, I know he would never argue with his father in front of outsiders and neither I wanted him to; I only expect that in the Precap part, when in private Adhirath is demanding to have his duties of a son being done, Karna gives some solid reasons. As far Karna's actions and thought-process are concerned, he must has been a rebellious kid from childhood, and the kids start rebellion right from home; so I think its normal for Karna not being a very obedient son of his very common father. I don't know how they will show the conversation of the precap; but I am afraid as in the previous shows they keep on showing Karna's family trying to stop him from being the friend of the 'evil-prince' right from the day Duryadhan made him king and Karna's own ambitions and wishes get suppressed under their logic.😕
I didn't see the first episode so didn't watch his arguments with his father as a teenager. Have to watch then.😃

I think Karna's character is being portrayed nicely in the show so far, but I fear the worst, that he might be shown as a punching-bag after some more episodes and I don't want it. I want a sassy, kingly Karna who was a friend of Duryadhan; not a ping-pong ball swinging between conflicts of rights and wrongs without any self-confidence.😆

>> 👍🏼 I second you, Aunty. I loved Bhanumati yesterday. She acted like a proper princess with full dignity. The thing I love the most is she was not a hapless feeble crying abla naari even in her sacrifice, but she acted like a queen and handled the situation. She confessed her involvement in Uruvi's escaping so gracefully and convinced Duryadhan to have a new beginning together forgetting and without looking back. This Bhanumati is perfect for handling crazy Duryadhan😆
Bhanumati is one of the most ignored characters in the epics and no TV shows have shown her much till date. I just hope Karn-Sangini breaks this norm and Bhanumati gets enough screen-space. Hope cvs will not forget her.😭
