Part 5:

Another week passed by without even Gauri noticing it. She wondered what she'd do without him. He took care of every thing she needed or wanted and now he was part of her life which she wanted to hold on forever.

She skipped down the stairs and sat down on the breakfast table awaiting her breakfast and his sweet teasing voice wishing her a very glad good morning but it didn't happen. She waited a few more minutes and now impatiently stamping her feet. "Shiv! Where are you?" She walked into the kitchen to see a note on a plate neatly wrapped in a plastic wrap. She picked up the note and read aloud, "Dear Gauri, I know how long you've been waiting for me to go far, far away from you and finally luck's taking you're side. I will be gone for six long days and that too far, far away from you. For the time being the watchman will have a tight and strict watch on you and will be updating me of your doings every hour so don't be up to too much trouble. Take care and I know I don't need to say don't miss me because I know you won't. Take care, Shiv… No….. Don't go away…. Who's going to buy me ice-cream now? Argh… idiot! Where is he?"

She left her breakfast untouched and went back to bed. She had nothing to look forward in life.
What was she suppose to do now? Sit home and do work! Damn it! That's boring… Aaliya also just had to go with Josh to London, now didn't she? Argh… She got an idea! Books! Yeah! I can start reading!

She sat down on the carpet of her living room flipping through the books she bought from the near by book store. She tried. She really did. She read each sentenced at least twice but she couldn't understand it. She'd read another page and her mind would wander off to him again. Argh… why? Why can't I stop thinking about him even though he's so far apart from me? Why can't I do anything but not think about him? Argh… but she had to admit he definitely has this magic of his. After he was gone was when she realized he was already successful in imprinting his memories on her heart. She knew she was a gone case now. Well over Prithvi and a lot onto Shiv. Now, all she could hope was that he wouldn't walk all over her heart now. That's all she could do.

The next four days were passed by just like this restlessly and impatiently waiting and waiting for him to return. She finally got out of her bed knowing Shiv would be back today which automatically lifted her mood but she was still groggy from her sleepless previous nights. She grabbed her towel and headed into the shower. She could feel the hot water running through her head making her feel sleepy once again. No, she wasn't suppose to act like this, she was suppose to act like she had the time of her life while he was gone. She turned the knob to cold. The chilly water instantly snapped her eyes open. She was so eager that she put her shirt on the backwards. She literally ran down the stairs and quickly changed her run to a slow walk. Shiv witnessed her eagerness from the kitchen window. He giggled. He knew she missed him and that too a lot!

She looked at him in awe as she saw him making her breakfast and then quickly changed her expressions to a disgusted and a sad one as soon as she saw that he was looking at her.

"Hi Gauri!" Shiv answered enthusiastically.

"Hi Shiv…" She replied dully. Oh, how she wanted to jump on him and swing herself in his arms and kiss those love filled lips of his, and then rub her hands through his hair and then just stay there and inhale his intoxicating scent and then yes of course, scold him for leaving her like that and then again obviously forgive him as it really is too hard to stay mad at him.

Shiv knew what was on her mind but was still disappointed that she was still toooo stubborn to admit that she missed him like hell and that she love him more than anything she ever had. He nodded from the window and came out of the kitchen with a dish in his hand and a frown on his face. She noticed it and wondered what was wrong. She wanted to pull him down onto her lap and into a long bear hug and then caress his face, relaxing him, comforting him and then telling him all will be well.

She put on a fake smile, "Aww… what's wrong, Shiv? You're acting as if you got in a fight with your girlfriend?" Jeez! What's this girl's problem? She can't do anything than tease, irritate or disappoint me! So now, to annoy her he said, "Maybe I did…"

"Wait, hold on, you've got a girlfriend?" Her tone said it all. She was disappointed, irritated, jealous, and angry too.

He didn't lie either or did he? It was just a twisted and stretched out truth. He's got in a fight with his mother who he treats and plays around with as a girlfriend. She didn't want him to leave. He'd been away for more than two months and had only come to visit for 4 days!

His phone rang and when he saw the name of the caller an automatic smile spread on his lips making her jealous of that person to have that ability. She only had the ability to make him frown. "Hey girlfriend!" There he goes again, flirting with another girl. "I can't talk right now, I'm busy… yeah… I'll tell her sometime soon… Bye… I love you too, Naina. Bye!"

Anger took over her love and sadness. "You're such a player! You jerk, you egg-headed monster; First that "beautiful girl" on the phone, what was her name? Oh, yeah aniTa, and then the girl at the part, and now this girlfriend of yours. You all men are the same same! You're the biggest jerk I've ever seen.

Now Shiv has lost control. He'd always been nice, beared her anger and put up a smiling face instead of his anger. "What the hell is your problem if I'm with ten billion girls? I'm not doing anything to you, right? Then stay out of my business, Ok!"

"No, why should I stay out? You're an idiot and you play with so many girl's feelings and you don't care a damn about anyone except fro your own self."

"So what? Even IF I do play with people's emotions? Big whoop! You're no less than me! It's none of your business of what I'm doing so shut the hell up! Look, this is the last time I'm saying it, Stay out of it! And why the f**k do you even care what I'm doing?"

"Because I love you, damn it!" This surprised not only him but her too. Damn it! What was his problem? Why can't he understand others? Don't even go there, Gauri! You always mislead him with your reactions. She needed to go away as the civil war going on inside of her disabled her of thinking straight.

She turned around to leave and that's when she felt him hold her arm and quickly turn her around to face him. He held waist and pulled her towards him, so close where she could feel his warm breath on her forehead and where she could hear his and her heart beats beating fast in unison. "What did you say?" he asked in almost a whisper.

She looked up straight in his eyes. They were filled with his overwhelming passion that he was hungry for in return and that blinded her. God! Is he deaf or something didn't he hear what she said? What was this stubborn man's darn problem? Ugh… "I love you…" she too replied in a soft, quite, but still angry whisper. He smiled at it. "I love you too, Gauri. I love you too." He pulled her head closer and kissed her lips with extreme patience which she didn't expect. He broke the kiss and looked at her. Her eyes were closed and her face resembled the peace he'd only seen her have when she was sleeping. He hugged her again and held her tightly knowing if he left her, she probably fall right back down.

They sat on the couch with popcorn. She was wearing sweat pants and a sweat shirt with her hair up in a bun and some strands of hair falling swiftly on the side of her face, kissing her cheeks. She cuddled even closer warming him and herself. She wrapped her arms around him and set her head on his chest and shut her eyes. She wanted to live all her rudeness up to him.

He saw every move of hers with a sweet smile on his face. He'd always wanted his girl to be like her. Some who wouldn't fuss over how she's looking to impress him and not act like the perfect lady with all the manners and control. She was perfect for him without even trying. He loved her for who she was but she didn't because she didn't know who he really was. How would she feel and react when finds out who he really is? How was she going to tell him that too?

"Shiv…"

"Hmm…"

"First You've got to promise me you won't get mad at me?"

"Ok, I promise."

"Pakka na?"

"Pakka."

"100% pakka na?"

"Are babba, 100% pakka. Now speak…"

"Who were all those girls you keep talking to?" His face got serious and then he smiled. He pulled her even close and said, "I'd never play you, Gauri. Anita is a desperate girl hungry for my attention, the girl at the party was Sanjana, my cousin and my girlfriend and then one on the phone was none other than my sweet and sexy mother." She cracker a smile. He pressed his nose to her and asked, "Ok?" She nodded like a little happy kid and hugged him again. He couldn't help but snuggle closer and kiss her forehead once again.

They were together the whole time except if they went out they kept their distances as they didn't want the press to know about anything as she still hadn't talked to her dad about it. Days passed just like this. They had everything in their relationship, friendship, love, understanding, and yeah, jealousy too. They both thought that their jealousy and possessiveness was because of the passion they had for each other.

She stepped into the drawing room to see no Shiv. She walked into his room to see only his cell phone laying on the bed. Hmm… that's odd he'd either be here or in his room. "Shiv... Where are you?" No response. Just then his cell phone went off. She looked around to see if he came back. Oh, well. He wouldn't mind her picking up his phone, right? Wrong! But she didn't know that now.

"Hello…"

"Hello!! Is Shiv Bhaiya there?"
"No, um… may I know who's speaking?"
"I'm Al-" Before Alisha could finish her sentence Shiv snatched the phone from her. How rude! He could ask her for it what's the need for snatching it from her? Is he hiding something? No! Gauri, just stop thinking. Don't think."Hello? Who's this? Hi. Ok… She won't listen? Why? Ya, ya I know her very well so I'll come there tomorrow and tell her not to crib anymore. Bye. I'll talk to you later."

As soon as he cut the phone and Shiv sighed. Now why'd he sigh? There is definitely something fishy. But what? Gauri!!!! Shut up, don't be doubting Shiv. Trust is necessary in every relation.

She didn't question him and he knew she was dying to. Sorry, Gauri. I know what's on your mind but I'm sorry I can't tell you anything right now but I you'll know about everything soon. Really soon."
"Angaaadd! I'm so bored yaar! Let's go out and have some fun."

"Umm… How about bowling?" "yeah…. I'm going to go get ready and you get ready also, ok? And please don't forget to take a shower; you stink like a pig!" She scrunched her nose, disgusted and he smiled at her.
They sat in the car in between of the traffic jam. God! She loves her dear India but the only thing she hates about it is the damned traffic. God! and it felt like they were in a oven.

He looked at her as she sat there fixing the air conditioner and fanning herself with the newspaper. He smiled at her and then she noticed his gaze. She Hmph'd and started fanning and on her usual ranting and whining on and on and on and on. That's the thing he liked about her; no matter how bad the situation is you will never get bored or you never feel lonely with her.

She dug out her water bottle from her gigantic purse. She drank a sip and let out a aaaah…. And then she had another sip which was followed by another aaah… She gestured the bottle towards him asking him if he wanted water. He just smiled and she just took the bottle, opened his mouth with her hand and poured the gulps of water inside his mouth and then it overflowed, spilling all over his shirt and she clapped her hands on her face while he choked. Looking at her over dramatic act, he couldn't help but smile again. "It's ok, Gauri. Relax. It'll dry by the time we get there." But it didn't. "Wait, I think I have an extra shirt in the back seat." She took out a sexy blue shirt with a price tag on. It was originally for Rahul but too bad for him. And reminding me of Rahul, Gauri had already called Rahul and asked him if they could you know, end their relationship and he agreed happily and then informing him of his new "crush." Her name's Pooja. At first Gauri was quite surprised but then accepted happily.

He slipped his shirt off leaving Gauri numb. She was literally gawking at him with her mouth hanging low. He cracked a smile and went closer to her. He lifted his hand and shut her mouth.. Jesus! Does he like work out every night when she's sleeping or something. He had the best bod she'd ever seen with his overly bulgy six pack and his tanned skin. It was driving her crazy. It was good he had a six pack because she actually thought guys with eight packs were disgusting. Shh… it's a secret. She raised her hand and put it on his bare chest and he opened his eyes wide. "Relax, woman!" He slipped the shirt out of her hands and put on his shirt while she came out of her trance, shocked at herself. God!

I love her "upfront" attitude, with all innocence intact.😆 She can get away with anything around him... she spilled water all over him for goodnessake!!😲 Sigh... and why is he so hesitant in revealing the truth, why would she refuse? do I need to go back and read sumthing? Erm... Anyways, I'm loving this stuff. You've got a good concept and greater way of molding it, 👏👏 Keep'em coming yaar!

Cheers,
