okay i think it is mahen, who wanted to save shiv from some kundali problem and maybe they wanted the land that is under gauri's name so they play this drama and they get shiv married to Gauri, and shiv just acted like he was forced for the marriage, which he was not, since they don't want anyone to find out about the whole kundali thing because maye it says that gauri is going to die

I think the storyline was supposed to be that Mahen was behind the "plan" but with Iqbal's decision to leave they made Shiv the mastermind behind the plan. Maybe Gauri needs to die so Shiv can inherit the plot that was left to Gauri.
