Agree with those who advocate killing off shiv's character. There would be too many expectations with anyone who'd replace him whether he's new or old.
IQ's created such an intense character out of shiv, mostly through his deep voice and amazing bodylanguge that he's made it his own and extremely difficult to replace.
The new guy would have to have the same attributes as that's the way the audience wants it.
As that is impossible to replicate, it's best to kill off the chracter and create a whole new one, say his elder brother who I believe is called Rudra.....and please don't make it Nikil arya. If nothing else, his voice is so nasal it is diametrically opposite of IQ's!!!

u r rite..iqbal khan juz created a fire in the soap n his chemistry wid pallavi rocks..none can ever ever replace him..iq was so perfect for shiv's role his personality ,his deep set voice all were gr8 plus..ekta wld definitely bring a good replacement but it l never be the best..alzo once the audience hav accepted iq in shiv's role..as 4 killing the character i m not sure abt it..
