i dont think devika is aloks mom...she must be the mom of alok's wife....maybe she dont like her daughter to marry alok coz' he wasnt rich...but she did that's why devika dont like alok...just a guess!

I think the same unless they have changed devika's character somehow tht she is no longer the dadi but maybe some other relation of gauri

This may sound far fetched

She is Alok's wifes step mother and G first child is entitled to half the estate.

Devika wants to break up the marrige so G does not have Shiv child then her rivals would have her wealth too.

ALOK does not know this but Shiv father discovered this and forced SHIV to marry G and send SHANK away.

SHIV's father is working hard for SHIV to accept G and want there marriage to work and wants his grandson to give him DEVIKA estate.
