no the plot has nothing to do with iq leaving, it was meant to be just that right from the beginning. ekta does not change her storylines to suit actors needs, but only works on her vision. shiv's character is not bad at all, infact for the first time in ekta's serial a character has been shown a bit near to reality. he has told gauri many times he doesn't love her & not to have any hopes from him, that she will end up getting hurt. you can't help who you fall in love with, he has always loved ipshy & only married gauri on the insistence of his mum. the guy hated gauri, but for his love he agreed, so that he can be with ipshy, who can blame him for that. we all at some point in our lives fall in love & for sure we will do anything for the happiness of our mam or woman. but now that he cares for gauri & condsiders her his closest friend, he is in turmoil on one side he has some one whom he loves more than his life & on the other a friend he does not want to hurt at any cost. he wanted to do right by gauri & tell her the whole truth, but his drag queen mum's blackmailed him in to a corner. she is his mum & doesn't want to loose her, so he has no choice but to keep his lips sealed. i really feel for him the guy is in mess & at cross roads, for once a great plot, true to it's concept that was mentioned before the serial went on air
