Here is a brief on what is happening in the show:

Gauri is gonna be married to Shashank who is an enployee in the company of a very rich man, Mahen. Gauri is kinda a passive and very nice. There are some people in Mahen's house who hate her like maya (mahen's sister) and palak. There is another guy, Shiv, who is mahen's son. After Kaya got into an accident, Shiv saves her but gauri misunderstands and gets Shiv into the jail. Later she realizes her mistake but shiv vows revenge on gauri. Then Gauri is trapped by Shiv's friend to dishonour her. Shashank refuses to marry her. Later the truth is revealed that it was all a plan to trap Gauri but Shashank still refuses to marry Gauri but Mahen convinces him. On the day of marriage, Shashank doesn't show up for the marriage and Gauri is married to Shiv instead. Shiv wants to torture Gauri so she will divorse him and recently Shiv's girlfriend, ipshagun, has also entered
