Just a thought on Devika...

I've been watching the show from the start and liking it...especially the chemistry between Ravi and Devika. Their nok jhok and interactions so far have been enjoyable. But I still don't quite understand Devika's character.

For someone who has immense belief in Ambe Maa, Devika really struggles in reading the signs that she is given, and there have been plenty. And for a girl who is quite spiritual, she doesn't seem to have a strong intuition.

Yesterday Devika told herself that Ravi has never been good to her...has she conveniently forgotten the many times he HAS been there for her? And more importantly, there have been many occasions where Ravi has been close to her or touched her, but Devika never had any frightening visions. On the other hand she gets those visions every time she is touched by Saket. How can she not make a clear distinction here?

I think the CVs have penned down Devika with some contradictions which go against a young girl of such strong faith.

Just sharing my thoughts folks.

^^ I've put the contradictions you mentioned in D's character to her being young and under pressure.

She also carries strong negative bias towards men, men like Ravi in particular.May be he reminds her of her loser Uncle, who dumped his gf and ruined her life.

I think, even as the little girl, she didn't realise how Ambe ma answered her prayers for the girl who was about to commit suicide. It's the same with Ravi. He is the one Ma has chosen to help her but she is unaware of the connection.

She was clearly uneasy seeing all those bad omens when she first went to Saket's house .

The clues are getting louder, she ignored what her sister said abt Sake & and the happenings at the Mandir in her home but was scared y'day after the madwoman's prophecy.

Devika has faith but it is not tested and I guess, the story is about how she as a believer will react when it gets tested.

I think the reason behind her contradictory behaviour is because she carries certain prejudices against men due to her past experiences and since she does feel an underlying attraction towards Ravi which contradicts her own set of prejudices , so to just remain in denial about her attraction , she reacts as if she hates Ravi though her heart sings a different tune reason why she remembers Ravi when yesterday Saket asks her about her boyfriend or some guy who has a strong influence on her 😉😳 /..

In short she just wants to b in denial about the signals shown by Devi maa because of her own prejudices and so reacts in that extreme way when it comes to Ravi ..

I think ravi's nature is not exactly helping him seem like someone sent to help 😆

Its just that Devika has seen Ravi doing the wrong and she knows about it. This is what makes her ignore his good qualities. On the other hand she has never seen Saket doing wrong with anyone. Means not clearly. So once she knows the real persona in both of them her confusion will get cleared
