Winners dont do different things, they just do things differently
Thank you, Richa...for picking up this absolutely redundant concept of tortured loner boy meets bubbly stranger girl (regardless of whose idea it was) and weaving it into this beautiful blanket of memories that we proudly call MaNan. MaNan is not simply a story, its a phenomenon of what love is, its the very definition of love that would appeal to people of our age, it was MaNan that spoke to them, not the concept...and there can be only one MaNan. So no matter who takes the credit for coming up with the idea, it is what became of the idea that matters the most.

Thank you, Richa...for not using the USP of your lead couple- their chemistry to provide us with shoddy plotlines. No matter who was responsible for the casting, it is what you did with the cast that matters. There are many who are lazy enough to sell the couple based on a couple of hawt scenes and attract the attention of audiences- hornones to the rescue! But you did not...you made sure that their chemistry became the strength of their characters and not the weakness of your script.

Thank you, Richa...for not giving up on the insanely immature cast and production house. Than you for putting your love for the characters and the show beyond your differences for other things- trust me, not everybody can do that- heck, in the KY2 world there is only one person who has managed to do that and that person is you.

Thank you, Richa...for being so kind, patient, motivational and brave enough to inspire your lead actress to pick up the role as the narrator of the story. Thank you for sitting through the tantrums, tribulations and all that is to be expected with such a whiny cast, and managing their many different moods and behaviours, holding them all together and selling the show for one whole year. It is no mean feat and let nobody tell you otherwise.

Thank you, Richa...for being so generous as to indulge our many different aspirations and dreams for YOUR couple and to make us feel that they are OUR OWN instead. Many creative directors look back for feedback, but there is only one person I know who has managed to incorporate the feedback and include the audience in the driving of the show.

Many shows of this genre come and go, but how is it that this show and MaNan have managed to remain in our hearts, months after the show has ended. As Manik himself says "we might walk awaz once in a while, but we cannot stay away". Its only and only because of you, Richa. The stupid cast does not realise what they have delivered, because they are too blinded by prejudice and success. And if at all they do, it is only and only because of the love of the audience, which in the first place was possible due to you. But let that not hamper you from feeling proud about what you did with this show. You changed lives, you brightened up people's days.. you have raised the bar for Indian shows so high that now, none of the show ever appeals to us.

Lastly, Richa...thank you, for handling this with so much dignity and class, for not stooping down to the levels of your peers. This made us regain our belief in professionality and makes us trust and even hope in the forum of Indian television again. So thank you, for helping your peers look good.
We wish you load of success in all your future endeavours and hope that we can cross paths with each other again- it would be a priviledge.
