I know this whole off-screen drama is just so shocking, I just cannot believe all of this happened. I just don't understand why there was so much awkwardness and dislike for each other (PaNi), it makes no sense at all - okay yes intimate scenes can make one a bit awkward but nowhere near to this extent and majority of the time all their romance wasn't extreme there were a total of 2 kisses rest were misses or typical stuff that a lot of serials do between leads, only difference was that it was done better in KY2 because of the PaNi chemistry. It's not like they were made to makeout every two minutes, yes there were kisses but nothing crazy. It just doesn't make sense if it was because of intimate scenes. Another reason was that they were afraid to be linked together lol. So what, every lead pair goes through this at one point in time, this isn't some anokhi baat. If they actually laughed it off people would have stopped and they wouldn't have got all this bashing.

Funny thing is though in some of their off-screen segments they've been totally fine - like the one from tellybytes at soha's farm house I think they were laughing and not at all awkward. I know it's not possible to get along with everyone but their drama is the weirdest I've seen - the whole professional jaap is so stupid, yes you've said it once, twice, thrice but no need to say it every time. I mean they seriously have some of the best onscreen chemistry I've seen in a long time but this whole not getting along just baffles me. They get along with every freaking actor on set, it's not like there were specific groups, they both got along with everyone yet not with each other. I know there are so many lead pairs who don't get along but they don't behave like the way these two did, Hina and Karan (NaKsH) have been known not to be the best of friends but they are totally cool in interviews and the fact that their show has been on for 6 years is an achievement in itself. That is what I call professionalism. It can't just be immaturity, even Hina and Karan were very young when they start they must have been younger or the same age as PaNi. 😕😕

Seriously, though so many lead pairs who are comfortable with each other or even if they aren't don't come close to the ease with which PaNi played MaNan - that fluidity is very hard to find. So many other actors are always mechanical when it comes to intimate scenes, but PaNi were never like that.

I saw in one of the EDT threads (by the way EDTs 5-9 are amazing because it's around the Pandit track and when they have their second kiss and all. It also has offscreen gossip lol) about how it can't be because of the awkwardness of scenes or because not doing scenes properly or delaying the other person. There has to have been some sort of real life attraction/crush from either side or both and because of that all this has happened.

LOL I watched Tere Liye - anuraag and tani were so cute but as usual Ekta screwed up the story a bit. OMG Arjun has a kid now, I knew he was married but didn't know about him having a kid. Harshad Arora (zain) uff I had such a crush on him and he can act as well.

They were going crazy in that snapchat video, you should also search using the hashtag parthsamthaan on instagram and see other videos from last night - snapchats from other people have been uploaded. Parth is actually really adorable. I just don't get him.

I'm definitely checking the EDTs out after my finals :P I love gossip! :P

Also, I guess the show being a runaway hit and all of the actors being fairly young, they let success let get to their head. Why else would Parth never acknowledge Niti? Probably, with time these guys will mature and realise the success of KY2 will be very hard to replicate and they shouldn't have let their egos clash.

So, are you a PaNi shipper too? When I started watching MaNan, I was like no way could this just be acting. Because boy, were the two of them intense! And even if there were just two kisses and thousands of misses, these two were unparalleled in the chemistry department. So, that was when I started getting into the off-screen stuff, their interviews and all and then on I was like this is going to ruin MaNan for me since their interviews were borderline cold and distant.

PaNi are amazing actors. But that's all there is to them. Because without Manik and Nandini, they would not be anywhere. The characters were so beautifully written, so credit to the writers. And to the two of them for bringing them to life.

Tere Liye was a cute show (until the bizarre remarriages and what not. Loved Taani and Anu's first meeting at the Pani Puri thella, damn cute it was! Do you remember that? I hardly know people who used to watch the show. :P

Also, YRKKH is damn funny. Every time I watch it, there is a marriage on. Do they show anything else? :P

Tell me where to watch Beintehaa no :P

Seen all the snapchats :P I'm a total PS stalker. And I agree, with his friends he comes out so differently. A nice, likeable person. But otherwise, he comes across as distant. But PS is completely adorable, I agree!! 'Video le rahi hai' Hahahaha kitne baar bichare ka popat ho gaya kal 😆

Apart from MaNan/Cabir, everyone else seemed quite two dimensional. Alya had so much potential, and she was getting there except nothing happened. Mukti... less said about her the better. Harshad. Ugh. He had a link between Fab 5 and their past, but even that was stupidly told.

Hello Zahara! I agree, this show had a lot of potential. And it had so many stories that remained untold.

It was fast paced until Musicana and then, it got a little draggy. And there were times, when I wished for better execution of certain tracks. But the good MaNan/Cabir scenes made up quite a lot. These three characters and the love story were utter perfection.

Alya was transforming from an insecure girl to somewhat happy and content, but she was scorned so many times that her character felt stunted.

We are on the same page WRT Mukti. That is one character I can never get behind.

Harshad was good in the beginning and then, he just became all shades of black and there was no coming back. The Band of Brothers was hardly explained.

Execution could have been better, definitely. But I'm glad for all the MaNan this show gave me. Weak shipper heart no :P

Also, you are welcome to discuss here, I'll be as active as I can. :P

Hello! What's your name ? :D

I seriously hope they could do-over the show and fix it! The writers had such a good story but because of the fanwars and behind the scenes stuff the story got ruined!

Alya. I always felt like her and Nandini could have had a story arc. I never got through to NavNi only cause Navya seemed so dumb at times (her and Mukti were better together)... Nandini-Alya have things in common and I wanted them so bad to interact! But no. Same way we hardly got scenes of Navya-Abeer (or whatever her kid was called)-Alya... even though she's his aunt?

Mukti. LOL. Biggest joke of the century. She "tried" hard to act cool, fell in love with Abhimanyu (I forgot he even existed haha) and then bounced straight back.

Band of Brothers. Still don't know what happened. 😆😆

The EDTs are just so good!!!!

Yup a bit of a PaNi Shipper, but that seems like it will never happen. I really hope they mature and realise the mistakes they made because seriously such a hit show doesn't deserve this treatment.

Yeah completely true, the success and fame definitely went to their head, and I just don't understand how they couldn't see the importance of the show, their characters and the fans. The Show, the writing, characters and the fans made them what they are today. They should look at tv shows that end up finishing in 3 months, those actors who have high hopes end up having them all crushed because the channel wasn't happy with the TRPs. These guys were so lucky that people loved their show, people were mad about it, and it's fans who make you and you should never forget that. How are stars like SRK at the position they are today, because of hard-work and luck but also because of their fans, fans can make or break you. Never seen people like SRK insult fans but these guys went overboard, and insulted fans. I understand some fans do go crazy and it does get hard when they talk about your personal life but that is nothing in comparison to some BW stars and other TV actors. They all go through that. Part and parcel of the job - you just have to ignore. They would have been crying if they didn't have fans and people didn't accept them, I've seen it with a lot of actors and people just don't accept them and it's so hard. But here their life was easy they actually got a good show, the story was tight and written very well initially, no one person is to be blamed for all the mess but these actors sure as hell didn't make the Creative's job any easier.

Haha yes I remember those Tere Liye scenes, I remember taking part in that forum then. I loved their childhood scenes as well, those kids were so good and I particularly liked the relationship between the two mothers with each other's kids. The way Taani's mum would say Anu😊. Harshad and Anupriya looked nice together. All the food scenes were funny.

😆 YRKKH and shaadis lol, they are obsessed with weddings. Though to be fair it is one show that hasn't gone completely crazy with villains and all. I don't watch the show but I've watched it here and there because my mum watches it. I think I respect the actors a lot despite finding the show funny at times. I mean Hina and Karan have stuck to the show no matter what and understand the importance. Today's generation of actors don't realise the importance of getting a loved show and being loved they think tv is beneath them and films are the only way. I understand anyone would want to progress but do it in a dignified manner and at least learn from those around you. So many countless examples of "hit" and "loved" actors who tried their luck and either they didn't make it or ended up doing B/C grade eroticas. Why not do some decent tv and KY2 despite it's stupidity later on was not as crap and regressive as the current saas bahu stuff. Just be loyal to the show and fans and then if you get a really good offer then do it, not just for the sake of it. If the show seriously was beyond stupid I would get quitting but when guys quit good shows I find that stupid. Parth was actually quite lucky because Manik was actually well written and a chunky role, he wasn't a mere accessory to Nandini like majority of male leads are in saas bahu shows.

All Beintehaa episodes are on youtube, I love the title song and the lead pair look really good together and guess what that whole applying holi colour to the cheek without hands was done in that show as well😳😆😉. So when I heard about it in KY2 I was like ehh I've seen it before but damn when I watched the KY2 one I was 😲, that was super hot and sexy. Though the beintehaa one is very nice as well, you'll enjoy that one as well, that one is more cute and a little hot. I also loved the show in the beginning because the lead pair were very different, despite being put together without wanting to be the way they conducted their relationship was really nice and different. Then as usual the show got ruined.

Hahaha I'm a PS stalker as well, all the time on instagram but I've been trying to find his Snapchat name but can't find it anywhere😕. I also have been stalking the other cast members on instagram and SC😆. LOL Charlie goes happy birthday parth - and he is all oh f*** it's a video. LOL yeah there were so many videos of him thinking it was a picture but it was a video😆 - obviously he was drunk as well ahahaha. And him dancing to 'it's my birthday, it's my birthday', is so adorable, he was so into it.

Hey Zahara (love your name by the way 😊)
Yeah TheTVAficionado what's your name?

Completely agree with you Zahara the show had so much potential, they had some great tracks but sadly they either never explored or ended them properly. The only ones that good treatment was Cabir's sexuality and Navya's pregnancy. MaNan love story for the majority of the times was great but at times they even dragged their stuff unnecessarily.

I understand shows need to add new characters to make it interesting and not just focus on the main cast's story but seriously they missed a lot of potential. Soha's track was actually not that bad, some parts were dragged but still overall it was executed well and we got MaNan coming closer together which helped the story, so that was fine - whatever happened after wasn't great but such stories always need hate tracks, just wished they handled it properly. They probably thought let's not drag the hatred for months like other shows but thoda bohat toh karte, because they dragged that track so much - the hatred ended so quickly. The whole vinegar stuff was extreme but still fun to watch and it gave the most adorable icecream scene they should have done more of that. Also the Pandit track could have been so much better. Either they should have kept it as either a strict teacher track or a teacher trying to groom or sexually abuse his student - they didn't need to go into gory details but they could have done so much more. It just made no sense because he was genuinely concerned about her career and he wasn't wrong either, she really should have focussed on her music but somewhere they mixed up the a teacher role and sexual predator role.

ManBir was so so good, I loved them together, and Cabir making fun of MaNan was fantastic, I genuinely enjoyed those parts. The starting of the whole joke between Cabir and MaNan was when the first accidental kiss happened, and Cabir just bent down and looked at them. Ayaz was just awesome there, such a simple thing but it looked so funny. Also when he catches them twice coming out of the bathroom all wet, if only he caught them the first time it happened 😆 - when Manik covered Nandini lol. That would have been epic. And his lines are just too good, Nandini kya hoa ladki bheega bhage see, tip tip barse Pani, PaNi ne lagaye aag. The way Ayaz laughed and dropped the drinks when Nandini and Manik come out wet from his bathroom.

CaVya were great too, they would have looked good together if there was a romantic angle for them but I actually I'm glad that they didn't go the cliched way, not every friendship was linked because of love, theirs was purely platonic and the way it grew was adorable to watch. The teasing and all was all so good.

Oh I loved that bathroom scene as well where Manik is talking to Alya, OMG I didn't expect that at all - this was the USP of the show they had so many scenes people didn't expect and that was what was so great about the show. Seriously Nandini in that scenes was hilarious the expressions she gave, loved Niti she did a fabulous job, I actually felt embarrassed with her. Parth was brilliant as well, the way he was saying it and his expressions.

Agree, Alya had such potential but still she was still better handled than Dhruv and Mukti. I never felt anything for Mukti no matter how much they tried. Only time I liked her was with Navya, the only time I felt it was genuine. Alya I still liked there was growth there. Dhruv, he was just irrelevant to me lol, he was okay in the beginning but his character was just royally screwed up. But I did like when he said Nandini used them and Manik punched him, probably why I liked that outburst of his lol.

One of the best parts of the show was when Nandini says it wasn't Punch to the kiss but the punch to the punch. First time I saw something like that on Indian TV, it was so awesome especially the way she manipulated Manik by getting all romantic and then asking if Dhruv didn't have feelings for me would you have left me. The writing was awesome, so was the execution and of course PaNi as always brilliant. The writers did a great job highlighting the part where Nandini goes, where was my choice? LOL the punch scenes always had me in fits because despite them being used in serious situations, the fact that she punched him and didn't do the typical slap made it just so epic LOL.

I accidentally came across an episode of this show in january 2016. I am not a big fan of Hindi tv series (They drag so much & the story is never ending!) But I got curious about KYY & thought of checking out a few episodes..watched a few episodes & got completely hooked to it! As the series was over, I could watch all the episodes in a few days..must say that this is a show that I am so impressed with in recent times. Love KYY!
Glad that you are e-watching the episodes & discussing about it again :-)

Hello Zahara and Noor :D
I'm Tanaya. And I'm usually pretty inactive on IF, but KY2 has made me a little more active here :P

I'll reply in order :P

Noor:

If these folks would have been mature, we'd probably have had a fantastic season 1 still going on. :P But, oh well!

Also, very random, but I am a huge SRK fangirl. My first ever crush! :D

Harshad and Anupriya were damn cute man! And kid Anu and Tani were good too. I even liked Tapush and Mauli :P The title song of that show was so good! Ekta's old shows had really good title tracks man. Why don't TV shows do title tracks any more? And I don't consider that 'Evergreen yaariaan' song as the title track of KY2 because that was cringeworthy. Like if I'd seen the promo before starting with KY2, I wouldn't even have had the heart or the courage to begin. If you haven't seen it, go watch and laugh!

I've seen a lot of YRKKH episodes too. It's pretty funny. Like the overacting by Rajshree behen and the underacting by the new actors. God. The show is a mad house. I saw the recent Naksh and Tara engagement scene and it wasn't that bad (except for Naksh's acting, Dhruv ka hi bhai hai :P) Don't know much about the Hina Karan equation, except that they mutually dislike the other, but yeap, they've carried a show on their shoulders for years now, credit where credits due.

And I agree PS was lucky with Manik's role. Like majority of MLs are just props. He had so much good material to work with. He should be glad. And I don't know about the film transition man. It seems too soon. Hope it works out for him though. But I wish he'd stuck around on TV a little longer.

I've recently moved to the US, so can't access Beintehaa on YouTube. Any other site? They have the cheek scene too!? Woohoo! But no one can do it better than MaNan. (Sorry, I'm so biased :P) I remember when I saw that scene for the first time. I whooped. It was so sexy!

PS ka SC isn't available anywhere, so I stopped trying :P Dude, they were all so drunk. Hahaha vodka shots :P Karan and him together man! SO HOT! (You must have seen Karan's instagram post for him, right?!! His caption! And the fact that he can write! I know, I know! I keep repeating myself :P)

Zahara:

Oh, Alya and Nandini. There clashes over Manik could have been such a highlight, because for Alya, Nandini stole Manik from her. Her dislike for Nandini was justified but hiring goons and all was super extreme. Like what even was that?! Who does shit like that?!! There could have been good confrontations there. And a development towards friendship too. Somewhere a scene where Alya is shown accepting of Nandini (not as part of the whole Fab 5's acceptance but as an individual, she was Manik's girlfriend from seven years after all) But it was swept under the rug, to rush in with DhruLya. Like give the girl time to breathe! She was in love with her ex for seven years, it cannot be that easy to leave that behind. So, a little build up between Nandu and Alya would have been appreciated.

We should like come up with a pact where we say we won't utter Mukti's name :P We're all getting so repetitive with her descriptions. :P

Noor&Zahara:

Also, I love the 'Punch to the punch' walli line.

Dhruv annoyed me. Mostly because of the bad acting. Like the first few episodes, he hardly had dialogues, so you can't make out. But then he starts talking and it's ruined. I still stand by the fact the love triangle would have been good if only the actor playing Dhruv was half as good as P&N.

The supporting cast weren't really topnotch with the acting. Mukti-overacting all the time (trying to be too cool), Dhruv-the weakest, Alya-okayish, Navya-reduced to a caricature (Veebha is actually good, I've seen her on BV). Even with good tracks handed out to them, their impact was lessened because the acting didn't do justice.
