Then I started watching from the Pandit kidnapping parts and mostly watched MaNan scenes, then flipped back and still watched MaNan scenes. Then I decided the rest of the show doesn't look bad and so decided to watch from beginning. 😆

I started watching the show because of GoT :P
I was like why are they butchering this amazing show. That's when I first came to know that someone called Parth exists.
Even then I was like not watching this show.

So, I started watching MJHT again and I was swooning on Mayank as always and then I started stalking Arjun Bijlani on Insta. And you know how Insta stalking works, I went from Arjun to I don't remember who else and landed up on Parth's page. And then, of course, I was like he's kinda-sorta cute! And then I started watching KY2!

And the rest is history. :P

Hello!

That goes without saying :D

Once the MaNan scenes start in full force, I'll discuss/dissect/cross-examine every bit. ;)

Don't worry, total MaNan shipper here!

Episodes 14-16

The last 3 episodes introduced us to Harshad and the Spot track. And these 3 built on the previous introductions.

Highlights of these episodes for me were:

1. Manik and Alya's phone conversation.
Hahahahaha. This conversation always, always has me in splits, no matter how many times I watch it.
Manik and Alya talking dirty to each other, while Nandini kept getting more and more scandalised by the minute. :P Manik enjoyed that certain conversation a lot. And I think Alya must have been surprised by Manik's mood because before that he wasn't really the one to talk in their relationship.

2. Nandu and her scooter.
Big LOL there. How cute did Nandini look while riding that scooter? And the sone pe suhaaga- Manik giving that sly smile to Nandini from his terrace.

3. Nandini discovering Manik's not-so-monster side.
The attack night at Dhruv's place was where Nandini saw Manik in a new light. And this was also when Nandu started thinking about a possible connection between Rishu and Dhruv. (And this again will come into effect in later episodes!)

Things I didn't like very much:
1. Mukti and her mom's scene.
So, it's not the entire scene I had a problem with but one particular part where Mukti's mom reproaches her for changing boyfriends every week and Mukti retorts back saying she is at least not with girls as though it's a bad thing. And this particular part kinda irked me because this show has tackled homosexuality and homophobia very well and Mukti has been shown to be so accepting of Cabir later that this seems inconsistent. And it's a very small line and I am probably laying too much emphasis on it but well, just putting the inconsistency out there. But then again, this character has flip-flopped so much that this shouldn't really surprise me.

Things I absolutely hated:
1. Navya.
This girl has just met Harshad and she refers to him as 'Humare Harshadji', like what the hell even? Navya has annoyed me in these three episodes a lot with her Harshad puran. And that scene in the coffee shop where she changes her coffee order to suit Harshad's- God. I hate girls who change themselves for guys and here, Navya was doing the same for a guy she barely knew. Agreed she grew a spine later, but really? And yes, the coffee part was probably just for comic effect but I guess I'm in one of those moods, where these sorta things are putting me off.

MVP for episodes 14-17:
Harshad, Harshad, Harshad!
I love it how the villains in this show served to bring MaNan closer! Nandini and Manik's first kiss, albeit accidentally, happened because of Harshad! :P I guess, Harshad is going to turn out to be the MVP in a lot of my future reviews! And also Harshad saying 'Woh, bichara Manik try toh karta hai par hamesha maar khaata hai' cracked me up, I don't know why. It just seemed funny. (Very random, excuse me, but my brain is tired :P)

Anyway, that's all I have for now! I'm loving analysing these episodes and putting so much thought into them. :D
I'm just waiting to get to the Store Room episode! :P

LOL all this offscreen drama has got a lot of people interested. I swear I've never seen a show with this much offscreen drama lol. There was a thread in the Bolly forum in dec/jan with all the whats app and court case stuff and I saw Parth's name. I didn't really give two hoots about it.

Then the stuff I mentioned above happened about 2 weeks ago, that got me onto the show and man I loved it. PaNi have freaking awesome chemistry as MaNan and Parth is a total hottie and can act (I think the reason I really liked him because I was impressed that he could, there have been a lot of bad male lead actors but this guy can act). I haven't liked a male actor in some time the last one was Harshad Arora (zain from Beintehaa - which coincidentally was the last indian tv show I really watched and even that I didn't finish) otherwise there haven't been many tv guys that I've liked recently. Argh then I came to this forum and was like damn this show is over and I wanted to take part in the discussion. I'm so glad that the forum is still open. Then I went through the forum from the beginning - obviously not all of the forum but like if there were some episodes I really liked then I tried to find the discussions from then. LOL and in between that all I found out all about the offscreen drama. Honestly it ruined it a bit for and I just don't get why this all happened they all need to grow up. But yeah currently my obsession is Parth which I know is stupid - part of me wants to believe that he isn't as obnoxious and self obsessed as he comes across or is portrayed but he doesn't seem that bad though. Ooo and I also like Karan - Aryaman. LOL I follow Charlie on snapchat and just saw her, parth and karan partying at a club for parth's birthday. Definitely check it out guys.

Haha Arjun is a hottie - I never watched MJHT though.

Hahahaha! Noor, Can I call you that?

The off-screen drama with this show, oh God. It's so hard to be objective to the show because of it. So many fan wars and what not! And I agree, the actors need to grow up, like there was so much crap happening in December that the show's end was ruined for all (And yes, S2 was bad but well, no one could enjoy the finale, really.) So, I don't reflect on this too much. These people are actors and I don't let it affect MaNan for me. But I get where you're coming from.

I agree, I don't think I would have stuck with this show if it weren't for the lead pair's amazing acting. Parth is so good! And I agree, so many male leads cannot act! BTW, I too like Harshad! But Harshad Chopra :P (just from Tere Liye, he's pretty hot!) Also, how is Beintehaa? I stalked that forum and people seem to like the lead pair a lot. But I can't see any of the episodes. Are they available anywhere?

Also, Parth seems like a nice individual, who is prone to making wrong judgement calls, it happens to the best of us, right? But yeah, none of us really knows him as a person, so we aren't the right people to comment on him. I agree I came to KY2 for Parth but I stayed for Manik. And for me, Manik is always going to be greater than Parth.

I follow Charlie on SC too! So cute that video is! Parth going all video le rahi hai, hahaha! And Karan and Parth! Karan is sweet man! And he writes well, I love guys who write. It's damn sexy! I like that at least these three have remained friends.

And Arjun Bijlani is HOT! Even I haven't seen all of MJHT, it got a little boring in between, but Arjun FTW! And to think that he has a kid!

All the guys I like end up being married or fictional :P

ohh god!! That telephonic conversation between manik n alya 😉 Manik was talking to alya but it seems like he was saying all that to embarass nandu 😃 N nandini's expression were so damn hilarious 😆 Harshad actually was a grey character during that time, sad that they butchered his character later... Mukti was being portrayed as rebellious n strong headed but her character never left any impression n her character flip flopped a lot during the show ... Navya was damn annoying during initial days,n her rants of ' hamare Harshadji' was so irritating but I liked cavya chemistry... The perfect storyline n awesome chemistry of the lead pair, that made this show a huge success

Hahaha yes you can call me Noor😊.

I know this whole off-screen drama is just so shocking, I just cannot believe all of this happened. I just don't understand why there was so much awkwardness and dislike for each other (PaNi), it makes no sense at all - okay yes intimate scenes can make one a bit awkward but nowhere near to this extent and majority of the time all their romance wasn't extreme there were a total of 2 kisses rest were misses or typical stuff that a lot of serials do between leads, only difference was that it was done better in KY2 because of the PaNi chemistry. It's not like they were made to makeout every two minutes, yes there were kisses but nothing crazy. It just doesn't make sense if it was because of intimate scenes. Another reason was that they were afraid to be linked together lol. So what, every lead pair goes through this at one point in time, this isn't some anokhi baat. If they actually laughed it off people would have stopped and they wouldn't have got all this bashing.

Funny thing is though in some of their off-screen segments they've been totally fine - like the one from tellybytes at soha's farm house I think they were laughing and not at all awkward. I know it's not possible to get along with everyone but their drama is the weirdest I've seen - the whole professional jaap is so stupid, yes you've said it once, twice, thrice but no need to say it every time. I mean they seriously have some of the best onscreen chemistry I've seen in a long time but this whole not getting along just baffles me. They get along with every freaking actor on set, it's not like there were specific groups, they both got along with everyone yet not with each other. I know there are so many lead pairs who don't get along but they don't behave like the way these two did, Hina and Karan (NaKsH) have been known not to be the best of friends but they are totally cool in interviews and the fact that their show has been on for 6 years is an achievement in itself. That is what I call professionalism. It can't just be immaturity, even Hina and Karan were very young when they started, they must have been younger or the same age as PaNi. 😕😕

Seriously, though so many lead pairs who are comfortable with each other or even if they aren't don't come close to the ease with which PaNi played MaNan - that fluidity is very hard to find. So many other actors are always mechanical when it comes to intimate scenes, but PaNi were never like that.

I saw in one of the EDT threads (by the way EDTs 5-9 are amazing because it's around the Pandit track and when they have their second kiss and all. It also has offscreen gossip lol) about how it can't be because of the awkwardness of scenes or because not doing scenes properly or delaying the other person. There has to have been some sort of real life attraction/crush from either side or both and because of that all this has happened.

LOL I watched Tere Liye - anuraag and tani were so cute but as usual Ekta screwed up the story a bit. OMG Arjun has a kid now, I knew he was married but didn't know about him having a kid. Harshad Arora (zain) uff I had such a crush on him and he can act as well.

They were going crazy in that snapchat video, you should also search using the hashtag parthsamthaan on instagram and see other videos from last night - snapchats from other people have been uploaded. Parth is actually really adorable. I just don't get him.

Yes, the one thing about Hardshad is he always seemed to care about Alya. And initially he seemed like he was Pro-NavNi, although it was to further his agenda against Manik. But later, he became a jackass. I felt they could still have redeemed him a little by having him support Navya through her pregnancy phase (And I don't just mean by gifting her pregnancy friendly chappals and what not) That girl was emotionally alone and he owed it to her, at least that much. But by then the male support in Navya's life by then was Cabir, so not really complaining!

Also, when you mentioned CaVya, it came to mind that the only real Yaariaan on this show were that of MaNan (yes, they were friends too!), ManBir and CaVya. Fab 5 were not good examples of friendship. And the NavNi friendship was one-sided where Nandini always stood by Navya and Navya always bailed out on their friendship for something better(?). Navya was a very selfish friend to Nandini, in my honest opinion.

God. This show had SO much potential. It was so good up until Musicana and then it went complete and utter dumb.
The characters seemed like they were having some growth and then came back all the way full circle back to being dumb characters. There's so much I would have changed!

Apart from MaNan/Cabir, everyone else seemed quite two dimensional. Alya had so much potential, and she was getting there except nothing happened. Mukti... less said about her the better. Harshad. Ugh. He had a link between Fab 5 and their past, but even that was stupidly told.
