S2, never really had MaNan fans or the team. RY interacted with us personally, she announced her exit to us before anyone knew she was leaving. So yes, we have appreciated her well enough and she knows it. You should check the dedications to her. S2 was a different ball game and none of us took the season seriously. Richa scores above all simply because she knew how to shut off-screen drama away ..which was alot more in S1 too.

Ofcourse they can look and sell other pairs well. But try as they might , comparisons will happen and they and their stans need to accept that. it is too early ,also. MaNan are really tough act to follow. You have SRK selling romance just about with anyone but his pair with Kajol and their characters will always remain the benchmark. Same is here.

You cannot help the comparison if the genre is same and the treatment of their parings be similar too.

Yeah I agree, I was actually going to show SRK and Kajol as an example too. 😆
But I get the point that comparisons will be made and it cannot be avoided.

With Manan all the things worked amazingly together to bring out the very best be it the story or the actors themselves so yeah it would be a bench mark that would be compared with for both of them even though it was not just their thing but also of the creativity of Richa mam too.

But as the face of Manan ofcourse Parth and Niti's other roles would be compared with Manan specially if the genre and characters are the same.
I actually used to love another pair where the actor was a very experienced and seasoned actor who was way better in acting than the female lead, But the way their story was told and how they acted it out complemented each other so well that there was no doubt that that female lead brought out the very best in him in portraying his character and their characters were a perfect foil to each other. But eventually the story was horribly ruined and their character butchered beyond recognition like it does in the majority of Desi serials. *sigh* But the thing I hated the most was that all this was done by the same creative head and I felt disgusted that they have no sense of pride and intergrity towards their own great creations that they destroy it so horribly.

This is one of the reasons why I appreciate Richa mam so much.

I am so glad I found Manan shortly after that and now I have something so much more magical and beautiful that I can cherish for a long time which has tremendous repeat value.

What ever S2 was it gave a HEA to Manan. That it gave a decent ending to Manan instead of ruining it with another second love story for Nanadani. That is the major take away for me from S2 and despite all the new offscreen drama with VG and co.

Ideally i wouldn't have posted here again cos i feel i have wrote whatever opinions i had on this matter...but since u replied to me saying that i only took bits and pieces of your post to comment then u should see my post again cos i did comment on the entire thing you posted..agreeing or disagreeing on some..the one thing i totally disagreed on was this..

Like it or not the passion and intensity of couples are brought forward through the male characters, so I have no doubt that Parth can recreate phenomenal passion and intensity with any other cute or hot looking decent actress opposite him provided the writing backs his excellent skills. Similarly if Niti is provided with a phenomenal actor like Parth who is just as raw and passionate as Parth (though I find actors of Parth's caliber who is just as good looking as him a rarity in TV industry these days) would look great as well if the writing backs the pairing.

now i read it the way u wrote it..all things considered for parth u said he requires someone who fares well in the looks department to get a good chemistry while niti will need a phenomenal actor for the same result...there is obvious disparity in the choice of words..i don't think i misinterpreted you.

though these lines were actually contradicting the main thought behind your post i just chose to reply to all the points u stated individually. if u wanted me to ignore them in view of the real message u wanted to deliver then sorry i didn;t get the hint!

and i wont call myself biased to any actor or character...for me both manik and nandini as characters were pretty much equal initally though nandini was my initial draw towards the show itself..growth wise yes manik's was phenomenal but then he had quite a scope to grow..nandini who started out as the strong characters initally was muted towards the end..infact my reason to giving up on kyy towards season 1 was that i couldn;t connect to nandini anymore..

niti too seemed pretty off and inconsisent during the aftermath of pandit track and then during the aryamaan one...her behaviour during the whole hope tree thing was also a big let down for me..parth was consistently good in all these tracks but he was a bit inconsistent during the soha track and pretty average in the drunk scene(strictly my opinion)...

i won;t call either of them phenomenal both have areas they need to work on...ya they are def the pick from the current lot..parth is more method and a thinking actor..he had a pretty good insight and hold on his character throughout while niti is more spontaneous but i feel she is more a director's actor..she needs to be pushed out of her comfort zone which might happen if she's lucky enough to bag a good project like kyy...looking at current dismal state of tv i don't see it likely..

for me a good show is the decider..i really don't care abt this offscreen drama..i started watching kyy cos it was a good show not for niti or parth..and stopped when i couldn;t connect anymore..so in future too even if its parth working with vikas or niti..i will still give it a shot if its worth my time..for me ptkk season 7 is not worth it even for niti and its nothing to do with vikas being a creep:)

Ok, I can see that my main post is confusing to many and it is kind of rambling specially when I am talking about how much credit I give to Rich mam for Manan and then when I talked about Parth and Niti working with others and being able to look good and stand alone on their own with others and have a show that also has its own unique charm.
Sorry for creating this confusion in the way I have addressed these two points.

Once again let me reiterate that what I feel about Manan and how I view both Parth and Niti equal with regards to their portrayal of Manan has nothing to do with my point about them being able to create great chemistry with other actors too if they have good teams behind them.

Before I made the point about them working with others I specifically talked about how male leads are used to generate the intensity and passion of couples largely in desi shows and I don't think many would disagree me on this.
And what is required by a male lead in that sense to create an amazing chemistry with a female lead is very different and in my POV there are really few actors in telly who are as expressive as Parth in this department.

And I did not just refer to looks when I talked about Parth being able to create chemistry with another costar. I clearly said decent actor as well. Look at the para you have quoted of me in your above post.
You are still misunderstanding me with regards to this point and how I view Manan.

WIth regards to Manan I find both Parth and Niti phenomenal in their portrayal in S1 if I am to summarize their whole journey there. That does not mean I didn't find some flaws in their acting at times.

There is such a thing as no matter how great at acting one is, some costars and some roles bring out the very best in you and that's what both Parth and Niti did in my POV with regards to Manan. Once again I give a lot of credit to Richa mam for bringing out their best in the over all product.

Please don't confuse my regard for Parth as a better actor with how I view Manan and how much I credit Parth and Ntit for it.

You need to get over the fact that I admire Parth's acting more than Niti, without confusing it with my appreciation of Manan and Parth/Niti as Manik and Nandani individually.

I hope I have not confused you more here.
And once again sorry for the way I have rambled on in my main post as I can see it can be confusing as others have kind of expressed it here too. 😳
