I looked around, his friends were having sinister glee, obviously they all are wicked idiots.
I just looked at the corner to have a glance at Naina and what else could I even expect from her. She was giving me a thumbs up smilingly..unbelievable really!!! What kind of friends I have in my life - one is trapping me in his prank and the other one is encouraging me to fall in it.
Ok this reminds me that how can I forget my another friend Cabir !!! I turned my head back towards the stage and my eyes immediately got focused on Cabir. As soon as our eyes met, he turned his face sideways, facing towards the wall. He was trying to ignore my gaze and was having horrified expressions. Cabir will definitely have to pay for this. This idiot...He just can't stop being himself...moron he had to interfere to keep up his name. I was giving him killing looks. I made up my mind let this hour pass then I'll chop him myself.
"Come girl what are you waiting for ...you have to kiss Manik ...don't waste our time", mukti shouted at me with exasperation. Whereas Alya was passing me a disgusted look. And in a second, my gaze was back at Manik. He was having a great time indeed. One second smirking, then other second giving a victorious smile, then having a pity look...bloody A2.
"I CANT", I said it again while turning my face towards the audience. But this time there was more calm in my voice. I just needed to think with calm. My mind was running more then the speed of a bullet train to just come up with a best excuse.
"What happened miss ...are you like scared and backing out", Manik spoke in mic and again started showing off his victorious smirk. The whole crowd was behaving madly. He again came too much close close to me, that I could feel his breathe. My eyes fell on his lips and beautiful loop sided smile.
"So come on kiss me...I know you want to so don't act", he whispered in my ears. Great, now he has started reading my mind also!! What worse can I expect now! I just don't understand why does he has to behave like this publicly, not that I want him to behave like this in isolation. O Ayippa..I need to control now atleast...I'll just not leave him. I looked at others to avoid his unwavering stare. And eureka!!!!!...the one who puts you in problem can also take you out from it.
"I think so you have hearing problem...you see I said I can't kiss you...I didn't said that I don't want to kiss you ...", I folded my arms around my chest and spoke loudly for everyone to hear.
"What??", he uttered while moving little away from me. A smile came on my face after having a perplexed look on his face.
"Will you just stop wasting our time you stupid girl and tell us what are you implying", Mukti came towards me and yelled while having a grip on my arm. This girl really gets into my nerves. I pulled my arm back immediately.
"I can't kiss him because I am not allowed so..." I said while looking at Manik.
"What ??? What are you saying? ", Manik was still too confused. I love his this face and just wanted to kiss him, but not now I have to only win right now.
"Yes I cannot kiss him because ...because of Cabir". Cabir was startled after hearing his name in between. He just almost lost the balance where he was standing. He was too scared, I could tell from his facial expressions.
"What??what Cabir has to do with any of this?", Manik almost yelled with annoyance. "Cabir come here right now", he shouted further.
"What me ...why me??", he murmured while coming towards my side but I heard him. Well a small punishment time for you Mr.ID. He was standing in between me and Manik ...like always he has to come in between, but right now even I want him to.
Everyone one was gazing at me, well except one who was giving a killer looks to me for creating a mess out of his superb plan. I knew they were expecting a clear cut explanation from me.
So I looked down at the floor and started narrating them with an innocent face - "Actually when that day I kissed Cabir, so he made a big issue in front of our college's trustee. He complained so much about me, he told her that I was trying to seduce him by kissing him inappropriately and she scolded me very badly". I heard Cabir coughing very badly. It's then I looked up and saw the scary expressions on the face of Cabir. I took a quick glance and found Manik giving me an unbelievable look. By now he was becoming more and more furious.
Ignoring all that I continued - " and she has given me last warning that I shouldn't do anything with fab5. Even I shouldn't go near them...you can ask Cabir...tell them Cabir ..explain them. "
All the eyes were shifted to Cabir. I could clearly tell that he was dazed. He was looking at me which I reciprocated with warning glares, indicating that he'll had to pay harder if he disobeys me.
He then took a quick glance at Manik. Even he was passing him angry glares.
"Cabir tell us what she is telling about", Mukti shouted in frustration.
Cabir took a heavy sigh and said - "Ya ya Manik, Mukti... she is telling the truth ..I completely forgot to tell you about this.. Ya ya she cannot kiss...she is not allowed to...ya she cannot come near fab5..it's so true...very true..that day when you all left the cabin and only we both were there, at that time only aunty scolded her".
"What??? Like seriously??", Manik was more livid now than before. He went berserk with the sudden turn of events. He was shooting furious glares at Cabir whereas the latter was trying harder to ignore it.
"So hope so that...now you know that I am not scared actually... but what to do I can't help it, you see I cannot do this dare but ya to make up ...I am ready to kiss anyone in the auditorium in order to complete my task". As soon as I completed my sentence, all the eyes were back on me.
"No..not at all..have you gone mad or what??", Manik's shout made all of us startled.
"Why Manik what's the problem...let her complete the dare with anyone from the crowd", Alya spoke for the first time while passing me a disdain look. I turned my face away, not willing to look her anymore.
"Yes Manik ...I am ready ...come on tell me whom I have to kiss..let's finish this fast", I spoke enthusiastically, with utter confidence, as I was cognisant of his reply.
"NO JUST SHUT UP ..YOUR PUNISHMENT IS FINISHED...GET BACK TO YOUR SEAT RIGHT NOW". Everyone was astonished with his sudden outburst, therefore nobody dared to questioned him further. He was already so much miffed due to me, so I also obeyed him and went back to my seat, to let him be free for a while.
I went back and gave a conceited smirk and smile to Naina. She nodded her head in disbelief. We hi-fived and giggled.
Three more set of students were asked to perform the task after me. The whole time I was enjoying the show not because of some stupid dares but because of the expressions of Manik and Cabir. Manik was vexed as he miserably lost the bet. He was no more hosting the show, it was being done by Mukti and Alya now. The impish smirk on his face was replaced with angry glares and my all time giggles were adding more to his annoyance.
On the other side, Cabir was giving me pleading looks and making puppy face but in turn received only stares from my side. The look look scene was also going on between Manik and Cabir. Manik was shooting daggers at him for ruining his plan but Cabir was always turning his face away by making faces to him. Maybe he was angry with him for dragging him in between. Whatever may be the reason but I was enjoying it all.
And after one hour, finally the stupid so called fun was over. I got up from my seat and moved to the corner. I waved them bye with a loop sided smile and smirk on my face, and smilingly moved out with Naina without giving another glance.
