RED represents MUSKANS POV

As the curtain rose and spotlight fell on her and all the crowd was hooting enthusiastically. Muskan closed her eyes to compose herself. Sometimes there is no next time no second chances no time out its always now or never. She knew she will stand by her decision and perform for herself. Only one last wish she could ask for was to get her dad here. She inhaled closing her eyes and started.
Mere khwaabon ki udaan ko
Naya hausla dene waale
Bhool ke apni saari khushiya
Mera har gham lene waale
As she opened her eyes, her eyes twinkled. She would have shouted out loud only if she could as soon as she saw her dad standing on the auditorium door hate panting and sweating badly. The song itself came to life because of the overwhelmed emotion swimming in her heart whereas Manik as well as Nandini were blanked out seeing Muskan with guitar and that to playing so well.
Mere khwaabon ki udaan ko
Naya hausla dene waale
Bhool ke apni saari khushiya
Mera har gham lene waale
Saath mere har lamha harpal
Saath mere har lamha harpal
Papa hain na hain na papa hain na
Papa hain na hain na papa hain na
Papa hain na hain na papa hain na
Papa hain na hain na papa hain na
Muskan grinned seeing her dad in front of her. she couldn't feel the people judges teachers or any contest pressure around her. The only thing she could see and feel was her dad. As soon as Manik and muskan's eyes engaged Manik could see how happy and proud his daughter was of him. Tears brimmed in Manik's eyes seeing the confidence her daughter showed on him that she is and will always be assured that he will be by her side no matter what.
My dad gave the biggest gift any parent can ever give to his daughter was belief. He never held me back from doing what I wanted of be it be anything. Unknowingly he taught me to see dreams and showed me to sky and he himself unknowingly let me take my own lead to that sky. I never knew I was like my dad with my own thoughts. And I know he is watching my back and will never let me fall before I reach the sky.
I don't know where our lives will take us, will we be ever there together forever. But I promise you my smile I will always be there for you no matter what we have to face in life. Even if we aren't physically together, we will always be together in thoughts. My soul is always there to hold you tight, to strengthen you when you ever feel alone or sad. We are as one.
Muskan with her head up told the world that her dad is, was and will always be by her side no matter what whereas Manik made a promise to himself that he won't ever let his daughters head down and they ambled towards each other.
Maine maana saath bade hain
Is jeevan ke raste
Befikri mein inpe chalti hoon main haste haste
Koi mushibat aayi toh
Papa hain na hain na papa hain na
Papa hain na hain na papa hain na
Papa hain na hain na papa hain na
Papa hain na hain na papa hain na
As she strolled down the stage case, her foot twisted but Manik held her In time while Muskan keep singing engaging her eyes with her dad's.
See, I knew My dad won't ever let me fall. But looking back I do realize that you actually never failed me. Yes this life is not gonna be easy I know but it am confident that I will be through all because I will be moulded by you and will follow your steps so that my morals my character and everything is decent and true about me and owe it to you.
My Muskan will never worry about keeping problems away till the time I am there to keep trobles at bay. But Life is difficult. Not only for me or you but every one. Life is hard and it can be sometime harder to get you down on your knees but do not let that harden your heart. They may held you down but will never last forever. When all is said and done, you will be increased. It isn't that bad as you think, it will look better in the morning and I will do every possible thing to make that look brighter to you every morning.
Just when time had willed, both had looked at each other at the same time, with Manik in tears while Muskan seemed to convey a message through her eyes. She pointed towards Manik and trailer her finger from her eye Down her cheek, causing Manik to touch his cheek and realize that it was his tears and smiled at his daughter as she shook her head in no and then
Muskan eyed him towards her feet to which Manik followed and let out a small chucked as he saw her in 3 inches cone heels.
Khel khel mein dhamm se ghir kar choat lagi toh kyaa
He slightly smacked her head as he knows she cannot handle heels still she wore it because she likes them little did he know she likes wearing them because she knows he is there to catch her before she falls and brush her off.
Mehnge tohfe paane ki umeed jagi toh kya
Muskan noticed a something lustrous in maniks hand and seeing her curious eyes on his hand he slowly shoved his hand up and showed her Valrhona's Ampamakia bar ( Chocolate) and that to melted one. This time Muskan's eyes twinkled with tears seeing her favorite melted chocolate and she instantly knew that this was his important work that held him back. This gift was priceless that no diamonds can buy and happiness beyond that.
Sahin galat mein fark samajh na pari ho toh kyaa
Saath samay ke daud daud thak jaati hoon toh kya
Raat raat bhar padhti main aur kahaan aap bhi sote they
Suna pan jab khalta thaa tab wahaan aap hi hote they
So many emotion were floating in her heart that she all wanted was a hug from her dad which she did at that very moment as she gave words to her weakness. And the best part of the hug is when you hug your dad and he hugs you back even more tightly reassuring you everything will be alright and he is beside you at every step you take.
I am not a perfect daughter. I pissed you off , I annoyed you , I was never a dream daughter you could brag about. You are the best daddy to the worst daughter to which you won't agree I know But I promise one thing that I will make you proud of me someday because I know I can fight odds till the time you are beside me.
Today I can proudly say that I'm you daddy. I promise you you will never have to deal with life problems alone. Life is a bitch in know and the best thing happened to me is you.
Life is not perfect and it will never be. You just have to make very best out of it and you have to open your heart to what world can show you. Sometimes it's terrifying and sometimes heavenly beautiful. I promise I will teach you to take them both in gracefully.
Khel zindagi ka ho jo bhi haarungi main naa
Papa hain na hain na papa hain na
Papa hain na hain na papa hain na
Papa hain na hain na papa hain na
Papa hain na hain na papa hain na
Muskan broke the hug while singing and looked into maniks eyes, Manik could see the strength, the courage to fight back all the odds of life and a promise of never giving up on life and it's twisted ways with an unsaid promise that they both are gonna be each other's strength and when that have each other besides them then no problem will last forever. Manik gently wiped out her tears and caressed her head blessing his daughter while muskan too wiped off his tears to which he smiled softly and ended the song.audience not only applauded for the performance but also stood up including the judges as they were stirred by the bond the duo shared that left them in tears. Ms Biswas, her teacher was overwhelmed by muskans performance, in her eyes she was the ultimate winner not only in this contest but in her life too and she silently blessed her for her life where as Nandini couldn't thank her Lord enough for blessing her with such family and prayed to shower even her fated happiness on them and keep them safe and blessed always.
Muskan and Manik sat back stage hugging each other side ways not wanting to let go of each other even for a second with Nandini running around while packing muskans stuff.
"Muskan! Bacha pass the chocolates to me!"said Nandini as she saw muskan holding the melted bars in her hand and by the look she gave to Nandini, she was not letting anyone take it from her to which Manik grinned.
"Acha baba, atleast place it in some lunch box or something so that it doesn't get ruined till you reach home!" Said Nandini to which muskan frowned and nodded her head vigorously in disagreement still in grinning maniks arms. Seeing her annoyed pout in which she looked incredibly adorable, Manik giggled and caressed her head and planted a soft kiss to which muskan smiled brightly just then Ms Biswas approved them and muskan instantly stood up with a respectful smile.
"Muskan, bacho! You are disqualified from the contest for breaking the rules which you already knew prior your performance and your last minute chances always scare the hell out of me!" Ms Biswas chuckled to which muskan smiled softly. " but this time I am so proud of you and I am so glad to see this mature side of yours. Stay blessed bacha!" Said Ms Biswas smiling and walked away.
"You knew that prior?" Manik asked as he was listening to the conversations and was shocked by the revelation.
"Yes!" Nodded muskan casually.
"Why?" Gasped Manik
"Because I wanted to!" Said muskan with a causal smile
"But you dint have to!" Manik smiled slightly
"But I wanted to!" Said muskan in bit irritated tone this time causing Manik to chuckle at her stubborn head daughter. Indeed his daughter. But he felt very low about the fact he just encountered that his daughter got disqualified because of him.he knew how hard she worked for this contest and how important it was for her which made him feel even more guilty.
How will she see award declaration and award being taken away by someone which she dreamt off? He knows owe it to her and now he has to lift her mood up and divert her mind.
"So now that I owe you big time, let's me start it with treat... And treat is on me!" Said Manik grinningly.
"Now?" Muskan questioned.
"Yup! Why?" Uneasy Manik asked
"Dad! We will face it! I won't run away!" Said Muskan as she held maniks hand to which Manik grinned like an idol and nodded his head being content at heart. It was the time to stand by there promises they made to each other and more to themselves.

Indeed your dad is always beside you knowingly or unknowingly.
I remember the time when I was ill, I was to be injected. at that time the kid I was, naturally afraid of injections and pura hospital sir par uthne wala syndrome mere mein bhi tha.
I used to cry for hours before being injected and after too. My dad used to hold me tight and get me injected while I used to cry at top of my voice. And this carried on for a week or two but Ek time par I was uncontrollably and suddenly my dad left my hand and walked out of the room. That was really shock to me and this time I cried for papa rather than injections. I was so mad on him I dint talk to him for whole day even when we were staying in same room. And the next day too dad walked out of room when I was being injected and surprisingly This time I dint cry... No actually ever since then I don't cry or whimp when I am being injected. The courage my dad couldn't give me by being my side , he gave me by not being by my side physically.
Do acknowledge the little things done by your dad.
Next will be the last chapter and I am really thankful to all those who read the story and drop their views. I indeed love reading comments on this story the most.
Stay happy stay blessed
Keep loving your dad
