Chapter 50
"Bhai please..aapko chot lagi hai..please don't fight like this with Manik" Alya requested Harshad in a pleading tone.
"Seriously?? Did U not seen the way he raised his hand on me? Tu meri behen hai aur mujhse zyaada tujhe Manik ki fikar hai? I'm your brother dammit!!" Harshad shouted as he touched upon his swollen cheek.
'Bhai..abhi please don't argue with me more..aapke face swollen hai..let's fix that first. Let me go with you first to get the first aid from the college clinic and uske baad please let's go home'. Alya pleaded taking a hold of Harshad's hand. Harshad slowly nodded to the words of Alya as he realized that it is the best for him right now to go with her.
"Hey...guys don't U think that it is unusual for Manik to fight for the sake of a girl?" Mukti asked looking at Dhruv and Kabir. Kabir was getting some ice applied on his wound and Navya was placing the ice on his cheek.
"Ouchh! Zara dheere se lagaao yaar...it's my cheek and not some well-sculptured statue" Kabir said to Navya.
"Ji..Kabirji...wo kya hai..ke humne pehle kisipe ice nahi lagaaye" Navya said in an apologetic tone.
"Haan yaar..aur humne bhi ab tak kisise ice nahi lagwaaye" Kabir said looking at Navya. Navya covered her mouth and giggled slightly.
"Kyon hasi kyon aa rahi hai? Humne sach bole hai! Waise bhi humko baar baar thodi aise zor ke punch padte hai." Kabir said as he noticed Manik being taken care of by Nandini.
"Yaar Dhruv...Don't you think Kabir is also acting weird? Isne kabhi kisi ladki main interest nahi dikhaaye" Mukti whispered to Dhruv moving a bit closer to him.
"Arre hum kahan weird hai? Humne thodi bole inse ke humpe ice lagaao" Kabir said pointing to Navya. Hearing this Navya pouted and took the piece of ice off Kabir's face.
"Arre yaar..ruk kyon gayi? Ice ke thandak ke wajah se hi tho hum aise idhar baith paa rahe hai...warna tho hum dard ke wajah se bhaagte clinic ke taraf" Kabir said taking hold of Navya's hand and making her place the piece of ice on his cheek. Navya blushed with the touch from Kabir and she felt all awkward seeing the kind of gazes Dhruv and Mukti were giving them.
"Haan Mukti..there's something really fishy going on between these two" Dhruv whispered back looking towards Mukti.
"Arre tum log iss tarah idhar dekhte rahoge tho mere wound heal nahi honge..udhar dekho yaar wo dono bhi tho ice lagaa rahe hai" Kabir said pointing towards Manik and Nandini.
"Manik...how is it feeling now? Is it feeling better?" Nandini asked looking into Manik's eyes. Nandini felt herself blush seeing the way Manik was looking at her without blinking his eyes. Nandini's words woke Manik up from his trance.
"Haan...feeling better now." Manik said as a smirk appeared on his face.
"Magar Manik..the wound is swelling a bit..don't you want to put some medicine?" Nandini asked with a worried look in her eyes.
"Achcha?? Swelling hai??" Manik asked looking at Nandini with a worried look on his face.
"Haan..." Nandini said gently taking the eyes off his face and touching his cheek.
"Isshhh!" Manik cringed closing his eyes tight.
"Sorry Manik...chalo please doctor ke paas chalke medicine lagwaayenge" Nandini said getting up.
"Ok guys!! I'm going to put some medicine on me! Who wants to come with me?" Manik asked loud.
"Me!!!!!!!" Kabir said raising his hand and getting up.
"Ok...tho hum chalke medicine lagwaate hai..tab tak U guys have lunch!" Kabir and Manik said as they both got up and walked towards the entrance of the canteen. "And yes guys...we will meet tomorrow evening at the Diwali party! So U guys too be there!" Manik said looking towards Nandini and Navya as they both nodded with a smile on their faces.
"Chal yaar..chalte hai" saying this Manik and Kabir walked out.
"Nanduuu..tujhe nahi lagta ke Kabirji humko pasand karte hai??" Navya asked looking with dreamy eyes towards the ceiling of the canteen.
"Kabir??" Nandini asked with a little smile on her face. "Kyon Navya...why do you feel that he likes you?" Nandini asked with a naughty gaze.
"Wo kya haina yaar..ke Kabirji ne aaj hamare haath pakde...aur thode zor se pakde..aur hamare body pe na jaise current ki flow ho gayi! Aur abhi tak humko wo feeling ho rahi hai..jaise ke unhone hamare haath ko pakde hai.." Navya said touching the part of the hand where Kabir held.
"Navyaaa...kahin tujhe Kabir se pyaar tho nahi ho gaya haina??" Nandini asked with a curious look on her face.
"Pyaar??? Kya pyaar aise hote hai?? Pata nahi Nandu..hamari na..life main first experience hai pyaar ki..tho humko nahi pata ke ye pyaar hai ya nahi! Waise tere dil main Manik ke taraf kya feeling hai?" Navya asked looking at Nandini.
"Mere dil main...pata nahi..." Nandini whispered. Her reply was half to Navya and half to herself.
"Is this feeling love?? Aiyoo Ayyappa...mile sirf do din ke liye..aur already pyaar..kya ye bahut jaldi tho nahi ho gaye??" Nandini wondered as she looked up at her Ayyappa. Ayyappa was too busy looking at Manik and Kabir walking through the corridor of the college towards the college clinic. 😉😛
"Yaar Manik..tu ye tho bata..ke tere aur Nandini ka abhi kya chakkar hai?" Kabir asked looking towards Manik.
"Nothing man!! Bas..." Manik shrugged unable to answer the query of Kabir.
"Achcha tujhe usse pyaar tho nahi ho gaya na?" Kabir asked looking meaningfully at Manik.
"Pyaar...tujhe kya lagta hai? Kya main kabhi pyaar kar paaoonga? Mujhe nahi lagta ke ye kabhi ho paayega...mere dil tho..." Manik paused abruptly as a sadness filled his eyes.
"Achcha chal..tu wo chod..." Kabir said noticing the way Manik was looking sad.
"It was just 2 years..two years since that incident. It changed Manik's life..and his view towards love." Kabir thought as he and Manik entered the clinic.
Harshad and Alya are coming out of the clinic and medicine was already applied on his wound. Harshad tried to advance towards Manik, but Alya caught hold of Harshad's arm with a little side nod silently requesting him not to start another fight. Harshad looked into Alya's face and then walked past Manik.
"Manik..go inside and get your wound treated. Main bhai ke saath ghar jaa rahi hoon" saying this Alya walked after Harshad.
"Yaar pata nahi chalta ke iss Mogambo ke aise pyaari sister kaise ho gayi" Kabir said looking at Manik.
"Mogambo??" Manik asked with a smile.
"Haan Mogambo...achcha chal tujhe pasand nahi aaya tho wo name drop karte hai..aur naam lagaate hai Gabbar" Kabir said as they walked into the clinic.
"Gabbar like seriously??" Manik asked suppressing a laugh.
"Haan yaar..isliye tho hamesha hum dono Jai Veeru ke peeche pada rehte hai..aur apne gang se tho poochte hi honge...kitne aadmi the" Kabir said in Gabbar's style.
Manik and Kabir got their wounds dressed and returned back to their classes. Were the classes long or short..they didn't realize...because their minds were occupied only with one thought...Diwali special performance😳
