Manik stayed there with NAndini in his arms for a while and then he thought of convincing NAndini for the impending checkup.
"Nandini you remember right we need to go to hospital for check. Go get ready baby."And with that Nandini got up without any nagging and went to get ready to the washroom leaving MAnik amused. Manik also got ready and went to the car to get ready. NAndini came out after sometime wearing a pink floral dress and looked very cute. Manik just pulled her cheeks and said "you are looking so cute. I want to gobble you up."
NAndini laughed and hugged him tightly while MAnik placed a kiss on her forehead and drove the car.
"Mr. Malhotra all the reports are good. She is recovering but it's very slow. Moreover the fear is still inside her and she needs proper love and care. Make sure she doesn't get stress too much", Dr. Shah told Manik after reading her reports.
"Well I will surely take care of her don't worry about that but one thing she will be fine right Doctor?"
"Yes Mr. Malhotra. See she was not at all mental patient. It's just that out of fear, frustration and depression she became like this...and with proper tender and care she will be absolutely fine again. Nothing to worry about that"
"Thanks Dr. Shah...will meet you soon", Manik went off the cabin and when he entered the checkup room Nandini was not there.
He got frantic and asked the nurse nearby
"Nurse where is my wife?"
"But sir your wife left long back from here"
Manik heart skipped a bit. He ran towards Mr. Shah's cabin but to his dismay Nandini was not there. He was running like a maniac here and there shouting her name but Nandini was nowhere. All sorts of bad things came into his mind and he drowned in fear.
Trembling he went towards his car and just then he heard someone calling out to him.
"Manik...Manik..."
Manik began to run towards the source of the voice and he saw Nandini was crying like hell and continuously calling him. He just ran to her and hugged her very tightly. Suddenly Nandini got scared but next moment she recognized his touch and hugged him back with same response. Manik suddenly jerked her away and began shouting on her.
"What the hell is wrong with you? What do you think of yourself? Are you a normal person to walk casually here and there and do whatever you want...don't you get in your mind that you are a bloody PATIENT"
Nandini was shocked listening to him. After coming into his life; Manik never talked with her like this and this tone. She was startled. She somehow stopped her sobs began stammering "Woh...woh...main...woh...waha..."
"Arrey kya woh woh...tell clearly where you were?"
"Manik woh waha lit...tle girl... was... crying...she... was... lost... na so... i thought... to help...her...and...By...mistake... I...lost...you...sorry MA... Manik...I will...never...does...that...again", she was sobbing and hiccupping continuously. Manik was shocked and understood what he just did. He hugged her and began rubbing her back to calm her.
However Nandini didn't hug him back. His words were ringing in her hand. She almost forgot the fact that she was not normal when MAnik came to her life.
"Baby I am so sorry...I didn't meant any of that...you know Na how much I love you and I got so scared not seeing you in the room. I almost died jaan. I am so sorry baby...please I am so sorry" Manik was continuously saying her sorry and kissing her whole face...her forehead, cheeks, chin..He never kissed her on lips but that time he was not into his senses. He understood what blunder he did and Nandini was so hurt so he without any thinking ppecked her lips. But his utmost surprise Nandini didn't react a bit. He was shocked.
Nandini slowly told him to take her to home and they silently drove back.
