Yes, that should have happened, I have criticised the reunion on various posts when it was shown. And what you are talking about passion, I completely agree with you. And again I would like to mention that for me Manik's passion is show cases in the fact that he wants to spend time with her and is possessive about her. But I am disappointed with Nandini because she hasn't really shown the right kind of emotions, before Manik came she was such a wreck and now she is so taking him for granted. And I blame the director for that.

And I don't think that the anger that Manik show cased was random. It was Nandini who was disappointing, because she just saw him and ran towards him, she was hallucinating, why didn't she first become cautious and touch him with shivering hands first to make sure that he is actually there.

See, I agree that it's a bumpy road with the new director and the new cvs. What I want to know is, what do you want them to do now, so that they can rectify it. Do you think that the damage is redeemable, even the slightest?

Exactly!

I added the angst in randomness coz there was no flow b/w the angst n reunion! It served no point whatsoever!

Umm yes of course! It's like the things already mentioned in this thread! The little gestures.. the spontaneity.. the subtlety n nuances describe manan well.. I think PaNi is also to be blamed to some extent! Either they've forgotten how they played manan or they're no more bothered or are simply awkward😕 Think they should work on it as well! Also, a heartfelt talk at times about themselves n not about others.. like the drunk night one but when they aren't drunk! The tehraav as it's popularly called!

Hmm you have a point...it would need good handling, and while I haven't really seen Karishma Oluchi's earlier work, can't say I too have much confidence basis what I've seen in KYY.
However, I still feel some conflict is necessary to bring about a change.

She was working with Balika Vadhu before KY2... And she compared our youth show to that saas bahu head ache and called these two equals

I rest my case.

So many of you have already stated few of my concerns. In all my recent posts I am venting on how the chemistry went from sizzling to fizzled out between Manan.

This is a drama guys.. If you want a couple in love and everything is hunky dory, the serial will not work for long. I agree with @enness, to kickstart the chemistry we need some angst and for that memory loss would be a good way to go about. Coz as things stand now, Manan shouldn't have any MU Since their relationship is based on unquestionable trust.

How will Karishma handle this? No clue.. I haven't seen her past work either and don't have much confidence seeing her work so far in KY2. Can we have Richa back plz? Is there a way to get that across to the PH and channel? And Shashank too.. He seems to be missing KY2 ( based on his IG).

Lastly, PaNi. Where do i start? They just seem to have stopped making any effort to be Manan. I said this earlier in the evening in a different post, look at their Body language!
Nandini and Manik should want to be with each other ... Crave to do so after such a long miserable separation. But what do we see..a dance where they are barely touching each other, a hug where Niti's hand don't go around Parth or parth's hesitation to hold her tight ( I have yet to see a passionate hug let alone a kiss from them). Even during the cheek kiss, their hands were nowhere close to each other faces or shoulders. Come on.. It's natural instinct to lay your hands lovingly on your partner when he/she is close. And where are the caresses and tucking of the hair behind the ear? Or the clasped hands?? Those are Manan's signatures. It's been few weeks after Manik is back and we see none of that.

Long shots of them are even more awkward.. Parth biting his lips, Niti moving away from being too close, both not making long eye contact etc. The charm is lost when we see such glaringly obvious awkwardness between the leads. Part of the blame goes to the director, earlier Pani had tiffs and yet it wasn't all that obvious onscreen. ( even back then I found quite a few instances where their touches were too fleeting or Niti bunches her hand into a fist rather than place it on his shoulder or arm but it wasn't as obvious as now).
It's like they know as long we show Manan scenes the viewers will be happy, so let's do that.

So what are my suggestions?

PaNi needs to get their act together. ( touch each other and look at each other as if you mean it and not ACTING it)
Director needs to be more firm and watch some past romantic scenes to get them to do their jobs.
Camera work needs to improve. Don't give us so many long shots.. More tight choreography/shots is needed for the romance.
Better script.. better flow of the storyline.. Be more realistic. ( Manan reunion after 4 months gap being the prime example)
Again, if Angst is required to kick start that chemistry then so be it!

While driving, I realized couple more points.

Better editing
Better background score. Oh yes!! That added to the intensity in S1

Manan missing naturalness, spontaneity and Nandini behave, as if Manik was there all the time ... I have a feeling that Nandu more concerned for Arymaan

Simply Manik and Nandu are no longer a couple who, thoughts and actions functioned as one soul as before.
Romance between them is so superficial and everything happens as in passing, in a hurry.
No more those magic that emanated from them and fascinated us

I think a lot of factors have influenced this climate Manan.

The leading team without creativity and imagination, without a sense of romance, then Parth and Niti, not collegial, mutual behavior, obviously they both forgotten what it means to be grounded and work, their work concentrated and committed.

I'm loving Manan...as long as I don't see Manik taking Nandini for granted and vice versa then I'm fine.

I have no complaints in fact I am loving it because it is a new phase and a happier phase rather than being around problems each time.
